We had a fantastic couple of days staying at Derek's cottage. Perfectly located in a scenic quiet spot, it was spotlessly clean and had many welcoming features including fresh flowers in the lounge and bathroom. I would definitely love to stay again on another occasion if in the region

The Post Office was a great place to stay with work in Ruatoria and Tolaga Bay. The house had everything we needed, was very comfortable, and it was pretty neat to be able to stay in a house with such history. William is a fantastic host, he met us on our arrival with some home baking; there was cereal, bread, butter, condiments and milk provided. And there were beautiful fresh-cut flowers, such a lovely touch. I would recommend this iconic spot to stay when in Tokomaru Bay. Thanks William!

Jaye and Brent helped us out when we got stuck on the beach above and beyond. Also gave us fresh fish the first night awesome. We loved them and the lodge so much we stayed an extra night. The scenery and views are absolutely stunning. We will be going back with friends. Thanks Jaye lots of love Shaz and Paul

We are a couple of senior citizens who like our home comforts. Barry's Air BnB was perfect for us. Clean, Tidy and very well equipped. Attention to detail with all the little extras really helped in making this place special. Being right on the beach made it perfect in terms of location.

Great place to stay, gorgeous view n private (host can see your room but it doesn’t feel like they’re hovering over you). Driveway is steep but flat where you park n only a slight incline down the path to the room. Spa pool was empty so that was a little bit of a shame but it was summer n hot so, understandable. Would highly recommend this place!!!

Craig’s property deserves 6 stars. Hands down the best we’ve ever stayed in. The location is incredible and the house is beautifully presented. Craig is a fantastic host and was extremely responsive. And fresh eggs from the girls was an absolute treat. We will definitely be back but for longer next time!

This was th second time we've stayed at Rangimarie's house for work, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves again. The views are incredible, and the house was spotless with everything you could ever need for a comfortable stay. The deck is the perfect spot for breakfast with the sun rising out of the sea as your backdrop. Also, it's an easy walk along the beach to Te Puka Tavern for tasty meals and local ambiance.

Farm stay in Gisborne

"The Wool-shed" country escape

We had a delightful stay at the Woolshed, which had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. The fenced in area at the side was perfect for a safe enclosure for the dogs, who got extra entertainment watching the sheep. We had a bit of trouble finding the shed in the dark, but once located it was a very easy check in. Located just a 20 minute drive from downtown Gisborne and a 30 minute drive from beautiful Rere falls, we had plenty to do and see on our trip. The stay is on an active farm, so not exceptionally private, and my dogs were very curious to meet the other dogs on the property. Overall though it was very peaceful and quiet and we would happily return if in the area again.

Beautiful setting on a very nice piece of property surrounded by flowers and trees. Swimming pool was great to cool off and the attached private hot tub was perfect. Our host was very helpful and friendly!
