Exposed beams and honey coloured stone. Two low beams on the ground floor (5ft 7) and steep stairs to 2nd and third floors, stair rope or rails throughout. Private allocated parking to the front. Peace and quiet and birdsong when sitting in the courtyard , yet central to pubs, restaurants and river walks.3pm check in, 10am check out.

We stayed a whole week, but could have stayed much longer. We felt immediately at home. Such an inspiring house. And the view over the hills and the valley were just breathtaking. We used Komoot for several walks around and walked by The Cotswolds Way. There was also so many wildlife around the house. So wonderful! We build sweet memories overthere that are unforgettable.

Had a fabulous 4 nights. The cottage is exactly as described, and matches all the photos. The outside areas are lovely, and the setting in the countryside is peaceful. Gloucester is only 15mins drive away, and Cheltenham only slightly further. we visited Cardiff, and the Cotswolds whilst here too, which shows how nicely situated the cottage is. All the communications with Kirsty prior to arrival. and during our stay were helpful and friendly. The Easter Egg, Apple Juice, eggs and Cake were a great surprise, as was the fact that there were 2 pints of milk in the fridge on arrival. We all had great nights sleep in the comfy beds, and would not hesitate to return.

3 The Square is a beautiful property, well furnished and equipped. Everything has been thought of from the smallest of touches. We were welcomed by a lovely hamper of bread, milk, butter and bottle of Presecco. The area is very quiet, perfect for pleasant evenings sitting outside in the front garden. There are plenty of board games provided for evenings in. Upper Slaughter is ideally situated for visiting Bourton-on-the-water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Cotswold Bird Park and many other beautiful villages. We recommend a drive out to Great Tew for lunch at Falklands Arms. In summary, cannot recommend this property enough.

This is a fantastic place to stay. The cottage has a homely feel and is decorated to a really high standard. The space is very well utilised and has everything you need. Communication with our host was excellent. Lovely touches like leaving bits in the kitchen for us really added to the stay. Great location - 5 minutes from the Castle. Highly recommend.

The stay was great, beautiful surroundings. Walking routes from the front door. The cottage was big enough for us two and two dogs. Everything you need is in the cottage. Julie had put down a great package of food for us, which meant we didn't have to go straight to the supermarket the first day to get stuff for breakfast. The pubs in the village are within walking distance and you can eat well at both. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed staying in the cottage and the beautiful surroundings. We would love to come back one day,

Noel and Karen are just the best! They could not have been more helpful. the property was breathtaking, somehow even better than the photos, Everybody in our party commented on how beautiful and comfortable the house was. Nobody wanted to leave. Noel went above and beyond with his messages, responding almost instantly with a great deal of helpful information. We left with some amazing memories. I could not be happier. I've spent the last couple of days scrolling though pictures of our lovely mini trip wishing I was there again. thanks again for all your help. Hayley

We had a wonderful stay at the Hayhut! We were welcomed with a generous basket of local goodies, including dairy free treats as Steff had enquired about allergies prior to our arrival! The place offered everything we could have wanted, including stunning scenery and a peaceful escape. We particularly enjoyed being welcomed by the friendly dogs! We had a slight complication with the door, but Steff was very quick to offer solutions. We are very grateful for her efforts and attentiveness. Highly recommend staying here! If you want to explore the area, I would recommend the app ‘Footpath’ as this was very helpful in allowing us to find beautiful walks nearby.
