Farmstay vacation rentals in Tennessee River

Our stay at Ruth’s cottage was perfect. She was always responsive and friendly, and went above and beyond communicating with us when a severe storm came through in the middle of the night. Her place was a perfect location while visiting family in Columbia, while also being a quiet respite for me, my children, & my mother at the end of the day. Our 3 & 1 year old loved looking for the cows and seeing where they were at different times of day. There are plenty of family games and puzzles to do on a rainy day inside, and the screened in porch is a lovely place to spend the evening. Highly recommend Ruth and her cottage!

This location was extremely convenient for my needs. The space was cute albeit somewhat eclectic. I found the space comfortable.

Such a fun experience! The houses were super clean, and everything was as described. The waterfall(s) were even more gorgeous in person. Very private and relaxing location.

We loved it here lots of land for the kids to play and be loud and wild like kids should be. Also very peaceful and beautiful country settings we will be back!

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Joy's home. The grounds were so relaxing with the rolling hills and beautiful horses. Joy was a pleasure. She reached out occasionally to see if all was well, but she respected our privacy. The guest house was wonderful. The additional bedroom space upstairs gave us the perfect space to do some office work or have some quiet time reading & relaxing. Great escape.

John and Lori were excellent hosts. Their place was quiet and clean and just a perfect spot to get away. We would definitely recommend this little gem to anyone. It was the perfect location for privacy and conveniently located for going out on the town. Excellent hosts, excellent place. 5 stars from us!

Alex’s cabin was the perfect place we could have stayed for our late anniversary from the moment I booked Alex was attentive he recommended a few flower shops as I wanted to get something for her the place was calm and quite perfect for a getaway Alex also has a folder with local things to do we and foods overall the best time we’ve had as a couple would recommend 100% 5 stars everything was perfect.

We had a great stay and just enjoyed a rural getaway. We fished multiple times a day. The kids were excited to see the large snapping turtles in the pond. There were also a few vibrant birds. It was the perfect space for our family. We used the fire pit and roasted hotdogs and s’mores one night.

Truly amazing place for me, hubby, and 6 year old son to stay while visiting family. Super peaceful and relaxing rural location, but convenient to interstate and good restaurants. Visited the Ijams nature center and Cruze Pizza and ice cream - all amazing! And the Seven Islands birding park is only 10 minutes away. Well appointed and very comfortable accommodations. Will definitely look for Smokyvue again when we plan our next trip!

This was a beautiful place. Husband and I went here for our little honeymoon and had more fun enjoying the country than we ever could have traveling and site seeing. Hosts were super nice, easy to reach, and very flexible. Will be returning VERY soon!

A peaceful and private countryside escape just minutes from Ooltewah! This stay was everything we hoped for—quiet, charming, and full of character. Cynthia was incredibly accommodating, even with our last-minute booking. If you’re looking for an authentic Tennessee homestead experience, this is it. The goats (and their loyal guard dog, Sampson) were an absolute delight—feeding them treats was such a fun touch. One of our favorite memories was watching our daughter on the big tree swing and our dog exploring the fenced yard as the sun set. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Staying here was such a great choice and you won’t regret it if you choose to stay here too! It was clean and bright and had all the amenities we needed plus much more. The outdoor spaces were lovely and communication with the host was very responsive. The only thing that fell a little short for me was the heating. It was unusually cool and damp during our stay and the rental was quite chilly when we arrived and took about a day to get up to temp and it always felt chilly in there. There were also only 3 towels for 3 guests and as long haired ladies we could have used an extra towel or 2 to wrap our hair in. We made it work though and didn’t bother asking for more even though I’m sure we could have gotten them from the host. All in all a great stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we’re ever in the area again.

Arlene stayed in communication fr9m the start, very friendly, helpful and understanding of our situation, we closed on the house early and so did our container so we stayed 2 weeks shorter that expected, Arlene had agreed to refund us us for the final week. Which we didnt expect but were truly grateful for.

We loved our weekend getaway - Laura and Todd were great hosts! The log house was spacious and had everything we needed. It was very private and had tons of space for the kids to run around. They really enjoyed seeing the cows, and Todd gave us a tour of the farm which was great. The area is beautiful and there are numerous great hiking spots just a short drive away. We would love to come back again!

My husband and I have officially decided to make this our designated getaway whenever we need to disconnect. This farm is absolutely beautiful and has the most peaceful aura. Kathryn and Russell truly work so hard to make this place special and make you feel at home. One of the best parts is you'll always have an animal by your side while you're here, whether it's a dog, rooster, goat, or barn cat. We can't wait to come back soon!! - Jerri & Frank

Our stay was wonderful! It’s unreal how well the house is stocked, everything we needed and more! Left snacks and water for us plus it was our 47th anniversary so they left us a card, a cake and wine! Very good hosts 😊

What a beautiful farm, Michael and Stephanie have! We were truly blown away by all of the sweet little touches at the cabin to make our kiddos so excited to be there. All of the games, outdoor activities, things for s’mores… And so much more! Thank you for allowing us into your home and allowing us to learn more about the great work. You are doing on the farm. The animals were such a treat to spend time with and my kiddos are already asking when we can go back :-). 10 out of 10 recommend!

Hope's house was everything I was looking for! The home was clean and cozy, and in a beautiful and convenient area. Hope communicated in a timely manner, with a few local suggestions of her own. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town!

We rent AirBNB several times a year, this is going in the books for our very favorite one! Pam & her husband are super nice, had great recommendations. The house adorable, the property beautiful ! I can't say enough good! We'll be back!

We enjoy Grandfather's Farmhouse so much this is our second trip in a year. The location is beautiful, situated in a peaceful, quiet valley just past Lake Chatuge. The house is so very comfortable with all the amenities necessary to make our stay perfect.
