We absolutely loved our stay! A beautiful home for our family holiday it was spacious and well equipped. The location is amazing, plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors and all the native birds but also a nice easy walk down to the beach for a swim and the many cafes. A quick drive to some of the best vineyards and breweries too! The views were incredible! We felt right at home and would have loved to stay longer, thank you for having us! From the Alderson whanau

Me and my family loved staying at this place! The host was helpful and responsive and the place was soo beautiful! The views of Mt Manaia in the morning to the spa pool at night really made us feel relaxed and made our time there so special😌 my daughter had heaps of room to play thanks to the spaciousness and as it’s close to the beach was the perfect way to spend a nice time away together. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be back!

Monica is a warm and gracious host and we loved having the opportunity to enjoy this beautiful home. It is an impressive Americal style country house, showcasing fascinating treasures. The living area is warm and welcoming, with large windows providing beautiful country panoramas. All rooms have interesting nooks to relax in and the attractive, fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms are wonderfully functional.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Karl’s house. The area is beautiful and peaceful. The home is well-equipped with amenities as described, including a hot tub under the stars. We are so glad we included a few days in the Northland during our trip. The natural beauty is outstanding, and we hope to return in the future.

Amazing property which was even better than it looked in the photos. Very well equipped with everything you need and communication with Emma was quick and easy. Pool, spa and outdoor fireplace were a big hit!

Lynne is truly the best host we’ve ever had. She welcomed us with a big smile, warmth, and kindness that instantly made us feel at home. The place is absolutely lovely, with breathtaking views, excellent bedding, and beautiful furniture. Everything was thoughtfully prepared,homemade muffins (they were amazing!), snacks, chocolates, and even asking for our milk and wine preferences! Her hospitality truly went above and beyond. Lynne made sure we had everything we needed and was incredibly attentive throughout our stay. We left feeling relaxed and really appreciated the care she put into every detail. Wow! This is our family’s new favourite spot in Whangarei and actually our favourite air b n b to date. Toni was amazing, prompt replies to our messages and requests, very accommodating he allowed us an early check in as there was a storm happening at the time and we had our children with us. The place is stunning, warm and super homely. Absolutely perfect for a small family get away. Thanks Toni you will definately be seeing us again.

The place is amazing, very large living area with many very clean and decently spaced rooms. I wasn’t aware of the 5-10 minute gravel road the house is on. Daniel was amazing at communicating when I need to get in touch with him however the packing up procedure could have been outlined better, but other than that the four informative emails sent outlined everything needed for our stay. The view is just as amazing in person as the photos both sunrise and sunset, especially lounging in the spa.

We had a 6 day family Christmas Holiday here and it couldn't have been nicer. Daniel and Angela met us when we arrived and explained the various systems such as pool, TV, internet, etc. They were available nearby in case we needed them (which turned out we did not), but did not intrude in our privacy. The actual facilities were even nicer than the photos and descriptions provided in the AirBnB listing. One of the special things about this home displayed was the care and art that the hosts have put into it. Everything is amazing. It is ultra-private and it seems as if you are alone in the forest overlooking a beautiful valley. The view from the upstairs master suite is awesome. Our two grandkids spent hours each day in this nice, clean, warm pool. The pool - patio area was well done and relaxing for lounging between swims. . I would HIGHLY recommend this property and hosts.

This house is absolutely stunning. It sits on a private beach with magnificent sea views and a big deck looking out over the ocean. It’s surrounded by native bush, loads of birds and a feeling of privacy & serenity. The ocean-facing doors and windows all open up so it has a wonderful indoor/outdoor flow. There’s a lovely hot tub with a sea view too! Downstairs, there are the living spaces and upstairs, the bedrooms. The bedrooms are lovely - three large rooms with double (maybe queen or king??) beds, as well as two ‘kids rooms’ with twin beds and/or bunks. Two of the larger double rooms have private balconies & ensuites. It’s a beautiful & delightful house. Very well appointed. Perfect for a larger group, close to Matakana, Omaha and all of the lovely things to do there. We’ll be back! We have had the most amazing time staying at the villa, it was even better than the photos. The house was absolutely beautiful, huge and had everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable with beautiful linen, the kitchen had lovely tableware, an amazing coffee machine and everything we needed and the pool was just the best fun! Channy was extremely responsive to messages and made out check in and check out very easy. Thank you so much Channy we will definitely love to stay here again!

Five adults and six children had a wonderful weekend in Mangawhai, using Carolynn's house as our base. There was plenty of space for everyone to find their own corner, both inside and out. The kitchen was big enough for several cooks to work in at once and the dining table was big enough for us to all sit around so mealtimes were a treat, not a chore. Amazing view to the east, including sunrise across water and moonscape sand dunes. The spa at the end of the day was a special treat for our family, as was the large TV screen in the lounge. We missed a few books and board games but everything else was in good supply. Thank you for a special long weekend with my family Carolynn.

A beautiful home that was well equipped for a busy Christmas Day with family. The outlook was simply breathtaking. We enjoyed the alfresco areas, playing pétanque and finding the tree swing. A simply beautiful retreat to relax and unwind.

Incredible location and home for a large group looking to spend time together. We were four adult couples and two toddlers. The space was perfect, having a bunk room and separate lounge for the little ones with enough bathrooms and privacy in different zones around the house. Direct beach access, quick walk to the local shop, cafe, playground and surfclub. Can't wait to come back!
