House vacation rentals in Tamarindo

The house is spectacular, spacious and super modern. The street is unpaved and it takes a long time to get to the main road. The nearby beaches are very rocky, so we were able to take advantage of the pool and home amenities.

This is truly a one of a kind (maybe even lifetime!) experience of a place to stay. Where else can you walk out of the pool and directly into the kitchen, living room or dining room? And get fresh air and breezes right into the house? We were a little worried that without AC in the main part of the house it would be uncomfortably hot. It was not an issue at all. Somehow the breezes blow in, the fans kept the air moving, and it felt so nice to hear the birds and not be stuck inside! It was also a very walkable 10-15 min into town, but note that Costa Rica is not big on sidewalks, so you do need to contend with traffic, scooters, and other walkers. But everyone does it, and makes you feel like a local! Down on the street is a place called Zolu, that makes amazing made to order food. You will sit outside and wait a bit but it was the best food we had and very reasonably priced.

The views and location to the beach are absolutely incredible. This place was perfect for our family. We enjoyed the open air concept. This place made our trip to Costa Rica even better. Highly recommend if you want to get away from the crowds but still be close to everything you need!!

We loved our stay! Each bedroom is private with its own bath. We hardly used the pool because there are so many beautiful beaches within minutes, but I can imagine it'd be perfect for families. Lots of restaurants and food options within walking or driving distance (we highly recommend Restaurante Arenas!). We felt safe and secure and would stay here again.

Great quiet location, but a little far from good options for food. A car is definitely necessary if you are going to eat out. We just bought food at the local market and brought it back to cook. It was very quiet and we had monkeys right outside and had fun watching them every morning and afternoon. Ocotal beach is just a 2 minute walk away! Would stay again!

Felt comfortable the entire stay. House was about 5 minutes from beach. I recommend El Jardín restaurant close by the house as it was the best please we ate at.

From our first walk-in, to our tearful goodbyes to family members... the word we kept saying was that this place is MAGICAL. We absolutely loved it and can't recommend it and Marie highly enough. The town and nearby beaches are incredible.... We enjoyed every single moment. Early morning coffees, afternoon swims and reading by the pool, evening sunsets on the beach. Nearby grocery stores were well stocked for such a remote location... transit from airports nearby was easy, the home is lovely and felt safe and secure the entire time. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our family-style dinners each night. Thank you thank you!

Being able to wake up, sit outside in the cool breeze, watch the sun rise and listen to the Howler monkeys and wildlife wake up every morning is an absolutely beautiful and peaceful experience. In addition to hearing the ocean waves crashing against the shore. This place was the best part of our trip! Oh and the beds were so comfortable that was worth its weight in gold! This was an amazing location!

Theresa and Darren were amazing hosts! our flight arrived at 6 am and we were at the house by 12. Theresa said that because they didn't have anyone checking out we could check in early which was amazing. we had a little difficulty finding the house but that was our fault and when I messaged Theresa she answer right away with a pin allowing us to find the house instantly! Throughout the stay Theresa and Darren were very thoughtful, responsive, proactive and helpful! Anything we needed they either offered for us to barrow theirs, told us where to buy it or bought one themselves for the house. Lastly, when our other Airbnb cancelled on us last minute they agreed without any hesitation to have us stay one more night. the location was fantastic, the beach was a 5 minute walk as described as well as downtown. The pool was a great bonus as well as the AC. Would definitely recommend and will without a doubt be going back! thank you for everything!

Casa Leona was nothing short of PERFECT! I’ve been to Tama multiple times and never once have I had an experience as good as this. Honestly - this is the best stay I’ve had on AirBNB ever. The on-site management was absolutely amazing and very responsive to all of our needs. We are a bunch of messy college kids and every single day the house was spotless when we returned home. I would recommend this to absolutely anyone. Thanks for making our trip amazing!

We had a the best time staying at this Air B&B! When we got to the house, it was clean and organized. It had everything we would need for our stay including a binder with all the information about the house, local places to visit and eat, and contact information. The house was located about 10 minutes from a town and 3 minutes from the beach. It was very easy to find once we got to Hermosa Heights. The house is in a gated community with 24 hour security, who guarded the gate and would walk the neighborhood frequently. We felt very safe! During our stay, Sylvie was quick to respond to any questions or issues we had. She made us feel so welcome and excited for our stay. Sylvie was an amazing host. We would highly recommend staying at Sylvie’s Air B&B to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Costa Rica. We couldn’t have asked for a better host and house for our family’s first vacation in Costa Rica.

Home has beautiful views from every floor. Comfortable and super clean property. The only thing to mention is that it does have a high incline. Would definitely recommend this home. Host was very responsive and helpful .

House is beautiful! We loved our stay. The kitchen is wonderful and stocked with essential, pool is wonderful and bedrooms upstairs have comfy beds. Everything was fabulous. Loved Playa Potrero. Very relaxing… it’s a quiet and relaxing place to stay.

Our group enjoyed their stay. It is a well managed airbnb. Hosts were very accommodating and they provided an early check-in when we requested them. They also placed a few snacks for our arrival and left a personal greeting note which was nice 😊 The place was super clean. The pool was nice and it looks like the house was recently renovated. It is a well located airbnb which is 15 mins walking distance to downtownTamarindo and 8 mins walking to the beach. Overall, it was a great stay and I’d highly recommend this airbnb!

This place was truly amazing. The house has a beautiful ocean view and was very comfortable. All the AC units worked well, which was welcomed on the hot nights. We also enjoyed the pool to cool off on hot days and the hammocks to relax after a long day! The house was very clean and secure, and the WiFi was very fast which was welcomed for movie nights. I appreciated the extra neighborhood security, they were very nice and we felt safe. Crystal was very responsive and detailed in instructions for arrival and departure. The one thing I might recommend, is adding a few beach chairs to take down to playa Negra! Thanks again Crystal, we will certainly be back!

My family of 5 had an amazing stay at Kai’s place in Playa Grande. This place has walkable beach access and is close to restaurants. The space had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

This location was an excellent choice for our large family. Every couple and member of our group had their own private rooms with bathroom attached. Multiple areas throughout the property allowed for members to sit and relax in various settings. There were a couple quiet nooks where some could read while others enjoyed the pool or fire pit. Overall just a wonderful stay and the property was in great condition. There were some small issues that did arise from some power outages, but Mary Ann was very quick to respond and have her property managers get issues handled quickly. She was always pleasant to deal with and very proactive if I had any questions.
