Family-friendly vacation rentals in Tamarindo

They respond very quickly and was a great help not to mention Evelyn, who is incredibly kind. The place is perfect and very clean. Close to everything. We had the casa to ourselves. I would highly recommend staying here.

We had a great stay at Casa Tranquilla. Katherine and Willie were very responsive to our needs. The house was as described. We loved sitting in the rocking chairs under the shade by the pool. The wildlife was so fun -- we did see the monkeys pass by a few times. Like us, they seemed happy about the location. We stayed for 12 days, and I could work remotely during the week. The wifi in the house was strong enough for video calls. That said, Costa Rica has intermittent outages, and we experienced some brief loss of power and internet access a couple of times. It wasn't a surprise and didn't last long. If you haven't been to Costa Rica before, be aware that there aren't sidewalks in this area. The walk to town and the beach is along the roadside and on dirt trails. It's not a big deal and everything felt very close and safe, but it was helpful for us to know that going in. If you're looking for the beach, find the trail :) Thank you Katherine and Willie for the excellent stay!

Our stay was very enjoyable. The villa was spacious and the pool was outstanding. It was located very near restaurants in Brasalito and Flamingo as well as multiple beaches. We would definitely return here!

I stayed here with three friends for a girls’ trip, and we loved the outdoor living experience. The pool was amazing and felt very private. Overall, this was a great place to stay—we all agreed that the house made our trip even better. It was one of our favorite parts! Highly recommend!

This place was amazing! Kitchen was well stocked, the grill was great for cooking. The location was ideal. It was so clean! Can’t recommend it enough.

This home is in a beautiful complex of villa types and hotel suites. The area provides access to pool areas, activities in the complex ad is very close to high quality restaurants and the beach. The house itself is designed and maintained beautifully, had all the appliances that we needed and enough space for a family with kids to stay out of each other's way, if needed :). The hosts had a lot of games and interesting books that we all enjoyed in the evenings. We received excellent recommendations and instructions from the host. This is a great place to have an airbnb with near-resort facilities.

This was our third stay at Casa Redonda. Obviously, we come back for a reason. Part of that is the staff. Ale is our primary contact and a pleasure to deal with. Katherina is in charge of housekeeping and, apart from doing a great job, is wonderful to deal with. Alejandro, maintenance, was always there when we needed him. One of the nice touches is that they use the quietest cordless blower I’ve heard when they clean the patio in the morning. The location can’t be beat. Close to the beach, restaurants, stores but yet peaceful. The beach is great but we spent more hours in the pool than anywhere else. We hope to come back some day.

José was a fantastic host. He was extremely helpful and communicated with us throughout our stay, including a great recommendation for the night market. We love the hammocks and super sweet dog!

Gil and Bernie’s place at Pueblo Del Mar was great! Checkin was a breeze. The home was beautiful with everything we needed. Gil and Bernie were very responsive and answered any questions on the area that we needed help with. The unit is right across from the pool that our kids loved, and spent majority of their time in. Gil and Bernie had kids floaties for the pool and toys for the beach. This place is set up for a family of 4. Very clean, just like the pictures and the description. The air conditioners and fans worked well and kept the place cool in the hot Tamarindo weather. If you are looking for a place that is quiet and in a good location in Tamarindo, this is the place. We would book again when coming back to Tamarindo. Thanks for everything Gil and Bernie.

Katie & Happy's place is a gem and exceeded our expectations. It is nestled away from the busy streets of touristy Tamarindo but only 5 min walk from everything. K&H's place had all the basic amenities (and a little extra) anyone would want from a home. Their place was very spacious, clean. and comfortable to relax in and the neighborhood was very safe. It was the perfect find for us and my new favorite spot in Tamarindo. Lastly, K&H were great hosts and responsive to every time we had a question. We look forward to coming back here.

We really enjoyed our time here. It is right on the beach, which made it so easy and fun traveling with kids.

The stay was perfect, we traveled for work and we didn't have much time to use the amenities, but in the end Julie was kind enough to give us time to enjoy the pool. She and her husband were incredibly helpful. Very grateful

This condo is in a walkable location but far enough from the center to be quiet and peaceful. The beach is super close and the water was so calm and crazy warm. We had a fantastic stay. A couple things came up during our stay that Sud and the local manager happily addressed right away. 10/10 recommend renting here.

We loved it here! Within walking distance to the beach, shops and food. It was also great coming back and hanging by the pool. Mandy and Toh were friendly and communication was smooth.

We had a phenomenal stay here! We had a private balcony, large airbnb and access to all the amenities (tennis, pickle ball, pool, ice plunge). We were a less than 5 minute walk to the beach and local restaurants. There was no noise and the AC was amazing. Will definitely be staying here again

Wonderful place in Tamarindo… it is walkable to town….. but I would recommend renting a golf cart. Such a unique place….. we loved all of the different spaces to hang out, either together of if you need some alone time. Great communication with the host, beautiful decor…… all in all a wonderful place

5 Stars – Unforgettable Beachside Retreat! We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this beautiful home in Palm Beach Estates! Dirk was an exceptional host—always quick to respond and incredibly helpful throughout our visit. The house is just steps from the beach, making it easy to enjoy the ocean anytime. We especially loved the outdoor grill area—it was perfect for cooking up the fresh red snapper we got from the local fish truck. So delicious! The pool was a major highlight for our family. The colorful lights at night made it feel magical, and we spent many evenings playing Marco Polo with our girls—such great memories. The property was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The neighborhood felt safe and peaceful, with great access to local spots and the beach just around the corner. We can’t wait to come back and highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a memorable beach getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Susana’s place, and would definitely recommend it. The space is safe, close to the beach, & we felt very comfortable there for our 12 day stay. Susana is very responsive, & helpful. A few maintenance issues during our stay, but they were manageable & not a huge deal. The ants can be controlled by keeping compostables out of the garbage can, & keeping the garbage tied up. You might see the odd gecko in the house too, but it’s very typical for Costa Rica. The neighbours are lovely, & kind, offering tips & advice for the area. There is a coral restoration project at Ocotal that you can snorkel to, & we were able to snorkel with sea turtles, manta rays, & many more species. A quick Uber ride into Coco for nightlife & restaurants. Susana’s place has plenty of amenities, A/C, dishes, linens, towels, a cooler, a BBQ, and beach chairs. The pool is perfect; quiet, surrounded by foliage, & there’s an outdoor shower by the pool so you can rinse off beach sand.

The location was quiet and easily walkable to beach and restaurants. Grocery store is one building away. Host was on premises. Friendly neighbors nice pool.

This is a fantastic condo, and the location can't be beat. I stayed here with my family (husband, kids ages 4 & 6, and my in-laws) and we all loved it. The beach was right in front, the view spectacular, and we always had the pool to ourselves. We walked to town from the beach (really cute beach town) and drove 5 minutes to Playa Penca and Playa Prieta too. But we thoroughly enjoyed our beach front Playa Potrero too. I highly recommend it! Wolfgang was so accommodating (we booked the day we checked in) and his employee Erwin was incredibly kind and helpful to check us in.

David is the man! I stayed here for two months and loved it. Perfect for someone who's in PG to surf. I will be staying here again for sure. David is a great host and makes you feel welcome. Also, if you want to you can hang out with a cool dog, Tilo.
