We really enjoyed our stay at this home in Kyoto. It was well stocked with toiletries, snacks, and green tea. The hosts we very welcoming and we enjoyed the location.

It is really a great homestay, my friends and I are very happy, it is really convenient for travelers who want to cook, and the utensils are fully equipped!Both were able to wash at the same time while taking a shower, the hot water was stable, and the host responded instantly with any questions, highly recommended!

Worth every penny. The home was in a fantastic location, in a quiet neighbourhood but only minutes away from the centre of Gion old town and across the bridge from lots of shopping and food in Kyoto. Ta was very responsive and the house was very easy to access. It’s a more traditional Japanese home which is great to experience! Beds and futons very comfortable.

Yasushi was an exceptional host and his property was the best place I have stayed at in Japan thus far. Will definitely recommend it to family and friends and plan to stay with him again next time I’m in Kyoto.

I stayed with three families (6 people) and a dog.At first, I was a little lost because I didn't know where it was, but I saw the signboard and arrived right away.The room was very beautiful, with plenty of kitchen supplies and amenities, and we had a very pleasant stay.The whole family and dog were also very satisfied with the stay, which was not enough for one night.I was also very happy that the message exchange with the host was smooth and polite.We didn't have time this time and couldn't have a barbecue or tent sauna, so we'd love to visit again.

We spent a week at Cozy House. Really loved the place with lots of nice touches and room for the 3 of us. Very warm in the middle of winter. It was a lovely neighbourhood and we enjoyed the local shops. Fantastic hosts always so kind and helpful!

Stayed a second time for more than a month and loved every minute of it. Really great place for long term stays and pet friendly. Also has a garage space. Perfect for long term stays in general. The house is a beautiful old house, with both traditional and modern rooms. Very spacious and comfortable. There is little storage space but it's a big house so there's plenty of space to store luggage out of the way. Aircon and heaters were enough heating for the coldest part of the winter. Fully stocked with appliances and consumables in general, we didn't miss a thing. The area around is extremely convenient with a shopping mall, tons of great restaurants, places for sightseeing, specialised shops, and in the middle of Kyoto. A great place to explore the city. The hosts are kind and attentive and were responsive for the couple of time we needed something. They had prepared everything so well that we hardly needed anything anyway. Thank you so much for having us!

My partner and I had a wonderful time staying at this AirBnb! The blend of traditional Japanese charm and modern amenities made it such a special experience. It was truly a unique experience to stay in such a beautifully restored historical home. The space was both cosy and spacious, with the perfect mix of old-world character and contemporary comfort. We visited during winter, and despite the cold and snow, the heaters kept the house nice and warm, making our stay extra comfortable. The location was fantastic - conveniently close to shops and laundry mat, so we were able to easily pick up anything we needed. It was also near a beautiful river, restaurants, and cultural sites, yet nestled in a quiet neighborhood that offered a peaceful retreat after a busy day of sightseeing! We truly loved our stay and would highly recommend this AirBnb if you're looking for a unique experience!

The couple and three of our 7-year-old children stayed. I am very satisfied with access to Omihachiman's tourist destinations, parking for one car, smooth check-in, and cleanliness and size. Children are also very well received in terms of amenities such as playing cards, kendama toys, picture books, art on the wall, and youtube TV, etc., and they are very popular and "want to come back". The room is clean and very comfortable

Fantastic stay at Uzu’s place this winter. There is so much charm and thoughtfulness to these accommodations. Uzu’s place was clean and comfortable and served as a great “home base” from which to explore Kyoto and surrounding areas. Uzu’s was so thoughtful - sharing great local recommendations with a hand drawn map of key spots. Awesome! For westerners, please know that this is a normal Kyoto home. That means low ceilings. But I am 6 foot 2 and was able to navigate very comfortably. Uzu has great comfortable Western style beds, as well as futons. There was nothing not to love about this place.

Lovely place, traditional looks with all modern conveniences. Easy reach of the local railway station. Someone was close by (who seemed lovely) who was always available to help and provided clean towels during our stay which was nice. Thanks for letting us use your place, I hope we weren't a bother.
