Family-friendly vacation rentals in Sussex County

We really loved our stay, so much so that we're already talking about returning next year! The owners were super communicative and helpful, the place was perfect for our family of four, the location across from a great pool and tennis courts could not be beat, parking was easy, and everything was clean and clearly marked. The loft was perfect for my 7yo, and my 3yo has probably never slept better. The washer/dryer were great and came in really handy, and having two bathtubs was really great for bathing two kids at once. The two different porches are a really lovely touch, and all the beds were comfortable and bath towels plentiful. Truly can't say enough good about it!

Our stay was great. The property isn’t actually on the canal or lake area. This didn’t bother us, just an fyi. Great private beach and lots of pools to choose from connected to the sea colony community where the property is located.

My family and I had a beautiful stay. This was our first experience with Airbnb and was a great one. Annie provided detailed information needed for our stay. The place was clean and the clubhouse was perfect for what we needed. She also provided food recommendations which was awesome!

Don was a great host. From the moment I arrived my dog Dizzie and I felt like valued guests. Don provided some great recommendations for things to do locally, and was always available if anything came up. The space was very clean and I could tell Don put a lot of effort into creating and maintaining it.

Sea Colony is a beautiful resort in Bethany Beach. We were looking for a beach experience, so we didn't participate in the various activities - tennis! There is a fee of $55 per person on top of the AirBnB fee but there is much to offer for this fee. It is due when you check in. The unit has a balcony with a view of the beach. The bath has a tub which needs a bath mat to avoid slipping. Since the weather was perfect we didn't spend much time in the unit. Be sure to bring towels, wash cloths and linens. Kitchen has both K-cup and drip coffee makers.

Scott was so responsive and helped my family and I last minute. He made sure his rental was up to our expectations and the accommodations were clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the back yard that was fenced in for our dogs. The area was nice, safe and there were plenty of places and things to do.

We have stayed here many times & wouldn't consider any place else. The home is very well furnished. The kitchen is very well supplied. It is minutes from Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, and Delaware State Parks and provides a very large swimming pool + hot tub. And you can't beat it for privacy which is very important to our large family. I'd give then place more stars if they were available.

This property will exceed your expectations! Not only was it super clean, it looked even better than the photos! It's a very spacious property and the neighborhood is VERY peaceful. If you want to take a quiet stroll outside, this is the place to do so. The home is BEAUTIFUL! Decorated very well and it is equipped with everything you need. The clubhouse that you have access to (if you choose to purchase the pass) is lovely as well. The weather only permitted us to do indoor activities which was fine because the indoor pool is huge so we and our kids enjoyed it two days in a row. We got takeout pizza from the local Fox Pizza and it was AMAZING! There is a Dunkin right up the road too that I was very happy about (I'm a Dunkin girl😂). But anyway, I have NOTHING bad to say about our stay. A beautiful and very clean home. Both families said we would definitely come back to this exact property without a doubt!

It was larger than we needed, but so perfect in all other ways, we could not resist. So close to the ocean, elevator, etc. Balconies off most bedrooms! Could not view the ocean, but it was such a short walk! Heat and AC both available, and needed each at the time of year visiting. Cozy fireplace. Fully stocked kitchen with all necessary appliances. Really, we could go on. Our few guests adored it also. Even had absolutely all beach needs. We are elderly and all was appropriate, except low toilets, but undoubtedly could 'make do'. Was unsure what to do with spare key on exit, but left under mat as Paul was going to do on arrival. Paul met us on arrival, which was a most pleasant surprise! Definitely 5 star!

No words to describe this beautiful home, peaceful surroundings, great location. We like privacy when we travel and we had that and more at Liz’s home. She was a pleasure to deal with and gave us recommendations for things to do, places to eat. Watching the deer each night in the yard made my 94 year old mother very happy. The house was perfect for her and my pup was very comfortable as well. Who provides couch covers for pets? Greatly appreciated and not something you see very often when renting. Lewis is a beautiful town and Liz was right when recommending October as a perfect month to visit. We were experiencing some family medical issues and coming back to the house each day gave us a sense of calm and peace. Hope to visit again next fall.

We had a wonderful stay at David’s place. The home was perfectly described, the location was great and the view from the top deck was beautiful. David was responsive and flexible when asking for early check in. Would recommend!

A peaceful stay for visiting and recovering from the busy nearby towns. We stayed for a fall weekend getaway and Zully's listing was perfect for us. My partner and I enjoyed the privacy and quiet nature of the property. It was a well needed contrast to the busy restaurants, beaches, and park we visited, which were only a 20-minute drive away. It was our dog's first Airbnb stay, and she loved it even more than us. The property has a very large yard with ample walking space. There are also well cared for chickens on the property, which our dog loved watching through the window.

Jacki was very friendly and responsive especially when we requested an earlier check in. The cottage was very nice and met our pet friendly needs. That is what drew us to this place and Jacki does a great job providing all that is needed to accommodate our dogs. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

This is a cute place that is right on the bay so you can enjoy beautiful water views yet it’s an easy walk to the beach. The unit is nicely furnished. The shower with multiple jets was great. We appreciated being able to bring our small dog. We also appreciate the welcome bottle of wine!

Lynn & Brian were amazing Hosts! They were always responsive & available. They had plenty of things to do around the house & around town as well. The property was amazing & beautiful and was only a short little walk to the beach. I would highly recommend this place to all friends & family! Being pet friendly was an awesome addition as well!

We were looking for a home to rent over New Year’s Eve to keep our family tradition of jumping in the ocean New Year’s Day and Frank and Dayles home did not disappoint! With a stocked kitchen, games, dvds, hand soap in every bathroom, even hair dryers and little toiletries, we appreciated their attention to detail and thoughtfulness. We traveled with 5 adults, 3 teens, and two little kids and there was plenty of space for everyone! The location is perfect- 2 minute walk to Lewes Beach, 5 minute walk to great restaurants like Striper Bites and Lewes Oyster House and locally owned shops. Hoping to return soon!

Brad’s place is fun, artsy, spacious and clean! Walked to downtown Rehobeth and beach in 10 mins. Great location with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic get away. You can't beat the location. Very comfortable beds. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. Smaller feel than pictures but still very nice. Being right on the boardwalk allowed us to stay in the beach getaway mood.

Our group of four couples had a great stay at Diana’s home. We had plenty of room for the eight of us. Communication with Diana was very easy. Getting to the boardwalk was about a 30-40 minute walk or 5 minute car ride. We would stay here again.

We loved the Autumn's home. It truly felt like we were staying at our home away from home. We were only there for a quick trip but will try to return when we have more time to enjoy the house and the town of Rehoboth.

We enjoyed ourselves, close drive or bike ride to the beach, great bar and brewery in walking distance, pool was clean, grounds well kept, everyone was respectful of each other, overall positive week in Rehoboth!

This is a great property! The house is gorgeous, the grounds are clean, kept and very private. The house was fully stocked with kitchenware, pool accessories, & decorated tastefully. A lot of delicate artwork and intentional decor- (if traveling with a young child, one needs to watch them closely :) Re: the beds- my 7 year old described it as “sleeping on clouds!” - very comfy! The area is close (2-3 min) to outlet shops and a bunch of restaurants on Costal Highway 1 and about a 6 min drive to the Rehoboth pier. It’s also a central location to other neighboring beach towns.

Jane was a wonderful host! Very responsive! The home was very cute and exactly what we needed. Close to the beach and activities, yet quiet! Will definitely stay again in the future!
