Cottage vacation rentals in Sunset Beach

If you are looking for a very clean, well kept, fully stocked and cozy home, then this is the place that you need to book. Jenn is a wonderful host and her communication is very timely. There was a storm the week of our stay that ended up putting us one day behind due to flooding. Jenn was very accommodating and quickly refunded one night for us. She could not get to the house to clean due to flooding but asked a friend to assist. We were able to get to the house the very next day and start our vacation. The house is stocked with extra beach chairs, bikes, an outdoor grill, toiletries and any kitchen item that you may need. Jenn was thoughtful enough to have bottled water in the fridge incase you had a long trip. There is plenty of comfortable outdoor seating on the patio. Under the house she has swings where you can enjoy the beach weather and beautiful views of the marsh. Our family has already planned on coming back again next year. Lynne’s place was perfect for our family beach trip. She’s second row from the ocean and right across from a public access so it’s easily walkable. The house is on the west end of the island so it’s very quiet and only a few minute drive from the restaurants and stores in the center of town. The community also has two pools and a dock that are very close to the house so we were able to swim and watch the sunset over the sound. The provided beach chairs and wagon were super helpful and we loved the blackstone and hammocks under the house. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you may need and the house was VERY CLEAN. My only drawback were the beds and pillows are past their prime. I’m sure they will be replaced soon but if you have back or neck problems I would recommend at least bringing your own pillow.

Our stay at Michelle and Jason's was exactly what we hoped for. Very relaxing and so much to do around the house. The complimentary golf cart was such a great addition to being able to see everything. When we arrived we had a few questions for the owners and not only did Jason get back to us promptly, he also came to the house and helped us out. Already getting ready to book 2 houses with Michelle and Jason for next year! A 5 Star Stay!!

We absolutely loved our stay! Both Rebecca and the property were fantastic. The pool was a perfect spot to relax, offering a beach retreat without the hassle of sand. (Sometimes you wanna be at the beach...without dealing with the beach. HA) The location is ideal for a staycation or vacation and I really appreciated how peaceful and quiet it was. It’s also incredibly walkable, making it easy to explore nearby shops/food and enjoy a walk with our dogs. Love it!

This place is amazing! As a group of coaches staying for a tournament, the place was big enough for us to have our own spaces to recharge but also large enough spaces for us to hang out. The location is great- I would definitely stay here again!

A spacious and well appointed property with comfortable beds and lots of sitting space indoors and outdoors. Fabulous coffee bar. Felt secure behind the coded gate and welcomed by the neighbors.

Kevin reached out prior to our visit to make sure we had all the information we needed. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by little signs, welcoming us, as well as our dog, by name! The beach-themed decor is super cute! The gated deck area and the screened in porch were great for us and our dog. The community is very welcoming and friendly. Having access to the golf cart was helpful and convenient. We enjoyed the pools and Jacuzzi in the community area. Although it rained all week during our stay, we were able to find fun things to do in Myrtle Beach, such as Ripley’s aquarium, the house of mirrors and the haunted house. We highly recommend crabby Mike’s seafood buffet as a fun place to eat. The thermostat on the AC broke during our stay. Kevin was at the door within about 30 minutes and it was fixed by a professional within two hours. We really appreciated his responsiveness! Kevin and Janet were excellent hosts and we enjoyed our stay at the playful pelican very much!

John got back to me quickly when I had any questions. I could get ahold of him anytime. The place was perfect for our families-enough beds for everyone (8). Plenty of towels and the golf cart was in great shape.

Unit accurately described. Clean, great location no complaints. Only negative at first we didn’t see the instructions on how to enter the unit on the Airbnb email. Called the owner but they never called back-minor issue and only issue otherwise everything was great.

This place was perfect. It was centrally located, easy to get to, dog friendly and had everything anyone would need on a trip. We were there for work and couldn’t have had a better stay. Lindsey and Thomas were so responsive with any questions I had. The staff also was super nice. We will definitely be booking again for future work trips!

Maria’s place was very comfortable and really spotless. She made our dog very welcome too. Easy check in and great communication. We had a really nice stay.

This place exceeded our expectations! From the beginning, Matthew was very communicative and helpful. Check in was easy and the place was pristine! We loved drinking our morning coffee on the front porch overlooking the colorful azaleas. My kids loved the 2 twin bedroom and walking to the golf course. The pool was not open yet but is a great amenity to have so close by. It was a super easy, short drive to the Marsh Walk where we enjoyed food and drinks. If I ever find myself in Murrells Inlet I will stay here again and I would recommend to everyone!

We loved the house and the proximity to the beach. We only walked to the beach once for the sunrise, but spent the rest of the time in the house. We loved that each room was spacious, clean, and had a bathroom for each room.

Had a perfect weekend. Home is beautiful, comfortable, AMAZING sunrises, relaxing hottub, just a few steps to the ocean, very private. So nice not having to drag coolers etc to the beach. Just carry a chair and a beverage for a lovely day. Walk a few steps back to house if you need anything.

This place was so peaceful and cozy. The house is beautiful and feels like home from the moment you walk in. Very quiet neighborhood, great fenced yard with pavers for dogs to play without the mess of mud, and great area to hose off beside the house so we were never tracking in muddy paws or sand. We visited with our three large dogs and even they felt so relaxed almost immediately. The house is spacious and has a lot of character. We loved looking at the art. The hosts are very hospitable and so kind. It is so hard to find places that are truly dog- friendly and as clean and comfortable as this one. We had a very special stay and will definitely be back.

My family and I had an amazing stay! As soon as we walked in the place smelled so clean. The owner responds super fast and I didn’t even have to bother him for anything. I can’t wait to book my next stay!

We loved our week at Blue Turtle Cottage! It’s bright, clean and charming. Just a short walk to the beach. Leslie and Kay were lovely hosts. We’d definitely come back if our plans bring us to OKI. The king bed is super comfy!. Thanks for hosting us! 💙🐢

I didn't get to see much of the beach but the location of this place wasn't too blame! I went off season, and still a bit chilly but place is super walkable to the local fare and attractions (including the beach). Space was clean and cozy.

Condo was perfect for our short weekend trip. 10 minute walk, 2 minute drive to Garden City Pier, walkable Beach access and very clean and comfortable condo. highly recommend
