Vacation rentals with lake access in Sullivan County

We absolutely loved our stay at Amber Lake Lodge. The house was gorgeous and spotless. We felt right at home and were thrilled our senior pup could join us. The surroundings were just what we were looking for; we had a blast on the kayaks, paddle boards and fishing off the dock…and enjoyed the cute vibe + yummy restaurants downtown on Main Street. 10/10

We loved it! Everything we needed to make the stay perfect. We found it very convenient location to all our scheduled activities and loved playing pool at night! Morning view was incredible.

Goda was an exceptional host! She was incredibly helpful, transparent, and responsive throughout our stay. Her instructions were clear and straightforward, and she went above and beyond with her thoughtful recommendations. The house itself was stunning—beautifully maintained and truly felt like home. Staying at the Beaver Lake Escape was great! It was a very quite and peaceful area, and the house was immaculate when we arrived. Loved soaking in the hot tub. Would definitely stay here again!

Jacquie is such a wonderful and communicative host! The home was pristine and the photos don’t do it justice. It’s so serene, mindful, and calming. If you’re thinking about booking a stay here, don’t hesitate, it’ll be more than worth your while!

The place is peaceful and a good and solid base to explore Legoland and the beautiful trails and foliage in the area. Richard and Maryann were great, and we are very grateful that Richard helped prepare a fire for us. Just remember to buy some firewood at the local gas station. Easy walk down to the beautiful lake where they keep a small rowboat for use. It rained unfortunately when we were set to go boating so we missed out. Saved for future Legoland visits!

The fox is actually a really nice fox! But clever because he packed more games into that house than you could play in whole summer! Clean, not cluttered, homie, and many extras. Chris is an excellent host! Responsive, helpful recommendations. We spent a few nights there. Went on a hike and I used a pellet grill for the first time. I hit 500 degrees and seared a few porterhouse steaks to perfection ! You could throw-down in that kitchen for a crowd if you wanted to! They have whatever you would need. The place is very updated. Lot of unique antique shop pick ups and good books to sift through. I had to put one in my thrift books cart. It was only my wife and I but I felt like it would be a nice getaway in the summertime with the kids and some handpicked relatives or friends.. haha - We also love games and when I saw the Catan game I knew Mr. Fox was legit!!. Wish we could have enjoyed the lake a bit. Definitely may have to come back !

Had a great time up in smallwood, was a very peaceful environment. Enjoyed the deer, who were very friendly by the way ! The place was spacious, and comfortable. A real home away from home feel, which were hoping for. Will definitely like to go back some time in the future! Thnks again John for all your help and Kindness as well ! Take care !

We really enjoyed our stay at John’s place. It was cozy, the location was perfect, and everything we needed was available. John was very responsive and it was lovely chatting with him. We will definitely recommend his place to friends and family, and will likely return for future vacations!

Nice place in Liberty. One thing to note is the only shower is en-suite of the large bedroom on the ground floor, so you have to walk through it to access the shower. Spacious parking, nice small lake. Good spot for a small family or friends trip. Rustic vibe.

Joshua was extremely helpful and responsive and gave us excellent t recommendations for things to do nearby. The cottage was lovely, clean and exactly what we needed as a peaceful break from the city!

Jelissa’s place is neat and tidy and worked well for my husband and me along with our 2 year old. I loved that she offered us a pack and play and even had spare feminine products in the bathroom that were a lifesaver!

Jelena's place was perfect for our quick weekend to west point. Everything was just as described and very comfortable and exceptionally clean. She worked with us for our late arrival and our hectic schedule while we were there. We plan on being back for more visits at west point and will be staying here if it is available to us.

The property was beautiful, serene, and meticulously maintained. Everything was clean, organized and extremely visitor friendly. My group and I had an amazing time on Jason's property and he was very proactive in communicating to ensure that our arrival and stay went as smoothly as possible. We will definitely be visiting again.

Jonathan & Suzanne's place was wonderful! Just what we needed. The place was both beautiful, serene, and pristine. We felt right at home. Everything was super clean from the dishes/utensils, to the bathroom, towels and bedding. We loved that the space felt like someone's home, loved, cared for and lived in but we felt welcome to get comfy ourselves. Like staying in a dear friends home. Loved it! Jonathan & Suzanne left lots of detailed instructions on all the things available inside & outside the house. They were generous with their things (like the Atari my 10 year old got to play with his Dad.) So fun! All instructions were clear and easy to follow. And their guide for all things in the town(s) nearby was so helpful and made are stay even more special. Would love to stay there again! Jonathan & Suzanne were fantastic hosts! Thanks!

Deb and Mike are the best hosts! We felt so at home the moment we arrived. They gave us bottles of wine and also showed us around the property. Mike made sure that the bonfire is ready for us to use and kept it running the whole time to ensure we are warm. Deb was also very helpful before our stay and she answered all our questions including local recommendations! ❤️ We are definitely going back!!

The place was awesome and just what we were looking for our weekend getaway. The kitchen is fully stocked as we made many meals during our stay and the house had everything you need! We would 100% stay here again!
