Really amazing and unique place to stay in this 70’s hideaway on the edge of Dartmouth. Once you catch you breath after the 100 steps to the front door, you will be rewarded with a really quirky and stylish house hidden in the trees, but with tantalising views of the River Dart. It was so quiet at night and it’s only a 20 minute walk into the town that you really have the best of both worlds. Perfect for a couple or young family. The garage at the bottom was fine for our little polo but you might struggle to get anything bigger in it but there was space on the street if needed. We loved the place and will be back!

We had a fabulous stay. The accommodation was fantastic. We loved the hi spec kitchen for the only meal we cooked whilst there. It was a home from home. Only being a brisk 5 min walk from the promenade was a bonus. Near to restaurants and shops too.

Stayed at the house for New Year with our family of 4 children aged between 4 and 15.. Perfect location, within walking distance to sea front and all local amenities. The house had everything we needed and catered for all ages! Stuart was very helpful from the moment we booked and was able to recommend things to do for New Year’s Eve! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Wonderful stay, house is absolutely beautiful. Everything spotlessly clean and tidy. We loved the decor! We had 4 adults, 4 children and 2 dogs. There were stair gates upstairs which was fab for the dogs and 1 year old. Gary has been fab, quick at responding and couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely be returning.

Great stay at No.1 Beachdown. Everything we needed for a perfect stay and amazing views. Had a very relaxing week and so many great places to visit.

We had a fantastic stay at Sharon’s lovely house. It was great staying in Kingswear, across the estuary from its busier neighbour Dartmouth and with the ferry between the two running regularly until almost 11pm, we felt we had the best of both worlds. We ate out in Dartmouth & Brixham, had some beautiful coastal walks, visited the friendly pubs in Kingswear and just enjoyed time relaxing in the comfortable house and admiring the wonderful views. It’s rare to find a place with 3 double beds and we really appreciated that. The beds themselves were comfy with lovely crisp bedlinen. A great holiday and a place I’d love to return to.

What a beautiful, peaceful setting for a break from the hustle and bustle of life! The house is cleverly and beautifully designed inside and out and allows you to see the breathtaking views and wildlife at all times. Especially the resident deer! We are a family of 4 with children aged 8 and 12. There was everything we could possibly need provided. It also smells divine and is super clean and homely. The beds are so comfy I’m now looking at new ones for us! We visited Go Ape at Haldon forest, only 15 minutes by car. We went to Buckfast to the otter centre and Abbey, both fascinating. Dawlish warren was a lovely beach walk and we had lunch at The Boathouse on the seafront there on a beautiful but freezing January day! The Ley Arms is indeed worth a visit as many others suggest. There’s so much to do from the house, it’s a great position to explore the sea or the land. We also loved walking around the forest surrounding the house itself. What a fabulous place!

Hubby & I had a really relaxing long weekend. The apartment was so lovely & warm & cosy and I loved reading my books sitting on the window seat, looking out over the causeway. The apartment was extremely clean and it had everything that you could possibly need & it really felt like "home from home". This is a place to "switch off" from the world in peaceful surroundings. We didn't get to use the pool or the gym this time but they were extremely inviting. The whole complex is quiet & peaceful and with direct private access to the beach & café it's a "real little gem". The outlook across the causeway is incredible and I was completely spell bound by watching the waves and currents swish and swirl around. Even though our weekend was at the time of server gales & rain & even sleet, we were toasty, warm and comfortable. The café was really great to eat in as well. Our host was always available via messaging if we needed anything & the tv reception and Wifi was great. 100% we will return!

We had a lovely time in Newton Ferris. Our accommodation was gorgeous and just in the right place. It was very quiet and just right for two people. It was very near a fantastic cafe, pub and local supermarket. We loved it!

A superb and highly appointed apartment, with so many lovely touches, which made it a great place to stay and that’s before the stunning views from the bedroom and terrace! Pauline was a great host keeping in touch regularly with lots of useful information before and during our stay. We would have no hesitation in recommending and will definitely stay again for our next visit to Salcombe.

We have just returned from staying at this Airbnb and we had a wonderful stay. The property was immaculate, warm, comfortable and just as advertised. Absolutely loved our stay. The penthouse is fabulous, it’s better than the photos. Spotlessly clean & tidy. Easy to find, clear precise instructions. You don’t need to take anything except your own food everything else is all there for you. Stunning views Everything is within walking distance. Car ferry & passenger ferry 5 minute walk. Needed a break and that’s what we got. Had 2 fabulous meals (evening meal and Sunday roast) in the Steam Packet (down the road) and another in Kendrick’s in Dartmouth. Stunning views & we had the added bonus of a firework display from the Naval College across the river Dart (we were sitting on the sofa). We will be visiting again 100% recommend

We spent a really lovely and amazing time in Louise‘s location. The house is very well-equipped and nicely decorated. It is in a beautiful surroundings area. Just a few minutes walk from the town centre. The communication with Louise was really great and respectful. We enjoyed a really good time there. Thanks again for your hospitality.

Another great holiday at Goodrington Lodge. We've stayed numerous times in different apartments here over the last 10 years or so and we still come back every year. The location is great for us and is very dog friendly. Our 2 Jack Russell's love it. Apartment 7 is ideal for us and the dogs and was spotlessly clean on arrival. Adam is a great host, very friendly and quick to reply to messages. We will be back again for certain!

Great place. Second time staying here with my elderly father for Christmas. Was spotlessly clean with all the kitchen etc utensils needed. The scones, jam and clotted cream was a nice touch as we're the Christmas decorations. Arranged to check-in early at 4pm on Christmas eve. Is about a 15 minute walk from Exmouth station plus is on street parking (parking permit provided by host if needed). Very easy access to seafront/estuary mouth and small marina. Is also a pub opposite (not noisy) that does good food. Are a couple of mini-mart style shops about 400yards away. Exmouth centre a 15 minute walk. Would recommend

Fantastic stay in November 2024 for a long weekend away from work. Seriously impressive. Even though the weather was awful we had the best time, enjoying the beautifully decorated and spacious place. The photos don't do the house justice because it is just fantastic 🤩

Fabulous position. Great little flat. Tremendous views and everything within easy walking distance. Perfect for our three night getaway. Cannot fault the owners instructions, communication and general cleanliness of the flat.

We had a weekend getaway at Thomas’s apartment, really nice place, easy to find & access was simple. Beautifully decorated & extremely clean, extremely comfy mattress , lovely bed linen & a fantastic shower. The kitchen was well equipped & like everyone else on the reviews has said we found the oven & microwave a challenge to work out, the smart tv was great. The apartment itself is quiet in a pretty courtyard & a few minutes walk to the harbour & shops, restaurants cafes etc. We had a very good Sunday Roast in The Hole In The Wall pub which is a couple of mins from the apartment, the staff were very friendly & the food was great. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back & stay in this apartment. Great stay can highly recommend.

Really lovely apartment in a great location, a very short walk to the seafront/harbour and town. Lots of extras like a welcome pack, toiletries, books, DVDs and parking permit (needed and very appreciated, we were able to park close by all weekend). Clean and tidy throughout. Host gives plenty of information and also contacted us to check in early once the apartment was ready, couldn't ask for more. Highly recommended.

The place was great - really nice flat, well setup and tastefully decorated. The place was clean and well organised with everything you need and more. The location was perfect, everything is within walking distance. The layout of the flat is spacious and airy - so a very comfortable place to be when the weather is not playing along. Roz communicated proactively and is very friendly and accomodating. Greate find!

Just come back from 2 days away at Waves . It was lovely. Much bigger than the photos make it look . Immaculate in every way. Very clean and well presented. Loved the mince pies, cream and milk . Very thoughtful and much appreciated. Great location for the beach , town and train station. Would love to return in the summer.
