Such a special place to stay: as close to the beach as you could get in a breathtaking place, and when the weather was bad even the view from the cosy sitting room was exceptional. The campsite next door was busy for New Year, but there was absolutely no noise and people walking past the window to head to the beach really didn't intrude, plus the small shop in the campsite reception was very useful for snacks. House was perfectly set up with lots of space, all the equipment you could need and a comfortable living environment. A very wonderful place to spend time.

We had a fantastic week staying in The Cowshed! It was such a lovely glamping experience and was perfect for the two of us. The views outside every morning were incredible and we had lots of fun exploring the local sights, like Stoer Lighthouse, as well as the further away towns like Ullapool and Inverness! The Cowshed was just what we needed and we would happily stay there again! Seeing Mac was also an added bonus 🐶

We were here in the winter and it was incredibly beautiful. And Jacqui was incredibly helpful and thoughtful. This is definitely a great place to stay and in such a beautiful location.

What a wonderful week! I went to Culkein/Assynt for the express purpose of getting away from the overwhelming excesses of London life, and I succeeded, thanks in no small part to Karen and Iain’s pod. The pod is beautifully situated with an uninterrupted view of the coast, waves breaking over rocks, fields of sheep. The place is easy to locate, and Karen was proactive in providing easy-to-follow directions. The pod itself has everything you’d want or need and is extremely comfortable. Culkein is a great location if you’re looking to hike nearby Suilven, go on walks or just relax on the deck and stare out to the sea. I have nothing but high recommendations based on my experience, and I have every intention of returning to the region - it’s stunning.
