A lovely place to stay. Really good value. Superb location. Kitchen is very well equipped. No parking in front of the house but only short 50m walk to the car. High chair and cot and kids bowls in the kitchen make it helpful. 2 minute walk into town.

Four of us stayed here, sadly for a funeral, but the house lived up to expectations as per the listing. The neighbourhood was very quiet and the location was nice being so close to a park. We decided to walk the route back to the train station on leaving which was very do-able, even with an 88 year old!

Carrie's place is homely, clean and comfortable with nice little touches. She is very responsive and helpful and clear with messages. would highly recommend Carrie's place if anyone needed a place to stay.

We had a great stay here! The house is clean and cozy and in the perfect location for loads of walks with the pooch. The hosts were helpful and responsive and left a welcome card and a local guide :) great value for money, we will stay again :)

An excellent place to stay. Very helpful host, super comfortable bed, one of the best stocked kitchens we’ve had, very private but easy to get to other places. Being able to charge our car was a big plus. Our 6 year old also loved running around in the garden.

Michelle is an exceptional host —thoughtful, accommodating, and highly responsive. She has truly gone above and beyond, equipping the property with everything you could possibly need to feel at home. Judy and Brian’s cottage was so comfortable and cosy, we arrived late at night and as soon as we stepped into the cottage it was warm and so relaxing. A log fire was lit and we had everything we needed to immediately settle in for the night. The morning was so peaceful, surrounded by green fields and greeted by their beautiful puppy Willow! Brian also kindly helped us with taxi recommendations. I highly recommend this place, and we will be staying again if we are in the area again.

Brilliant little cottage. Perfect size for 2. Comfortable large bed. Well equipped kitchen. Being in the middle of the village meant easy walking to the pubs and food. Handy bakery over the road for filled rolls for packed lunch. Had a lovely meal at the Merchants Yard recommended by Marianne a short drive away. No need to use the car for the local hills and visitor attractions. With other hiking within short drives away. We'll definitely stay again as perfectly situated for us to use our circular walk guide books.

I’ve stayed at this property several times now as I needed to be back near my childhood home. Any issues are always sorted very promptly and it has been literally a home from home for me. Thank you so much. I’ve loved each time I’ve stayed at the Old Red King.

Myself and two friends had a great time at Heather's flat in Buxton. The location was superb just a five minute walk into the centre of Buxton where there were lots of shopping, bars and restaurants. The flat was very cozy, with lots of lamps and comfy sofas, which made for a lovely evening chilling out. The beds were very comfortable with nice quality bedding. All in all a great stay and I would highly recommend this property.

We had an amazing time at this place, it was peaceful and the view is absolutely amazing. The old post house is fully stocked, we felt like every detail was thought about and Mike was a lovely and responsive host. Highly recommend

We had a lovely long weekend based in Longnor. A comfortable, warm and surprisingly spacious apartment. Great location. We walked the spectacular 'dragons back' route from our front door. Longnor is a central, pretty, and very peaceful village. Sad to see the village pubs and cafe all shut down. The nearest pub was the Packhorse Inn, a 20 min walk which was nice. A fantastic place, great host - highly recommend for a quiet break exploring the Peaks.

Charlotte is a fantastic host - very welcoming and has a fabulous apartment with quality amenities. Had everything we needed for our stay and more. Castleton is a perfect location for exploring the Peak District. Highly recommended.

The photos of Diana's place do not do it justice. It's roomy, comfortable, clean and felt like home. The large open plan kitchen had everything you would need for preparing meals. The bed was very comfortable. Great views overlooking Holmfirth and only a five minute walk in to town. Had I known it was this good I would have booked a longer stay. Check in was easy and Diana gave us helpful tips regarding the town and then gave us complete privacy thereafter. Of all the Airbnb's we've stayed in this was easily the nicest. If we make a return visit to Holmfirth we will certainly book again. Thanks Diana
