Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Stockport

Linda's home is beautiful, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a 2 night stay to visit my daughter in Glossop. I want to return in the summer and have more time to explore the area.

The property was very convenient for Bramhall village and the relatives we were visiting. Immaculately clean throughout and all mod cons. Kevin was very welcoming online and responsive to any queries. Weather was not good whilst we were there so it was nice to come back to a cosy place. Quiet neighbourhood too.

Lovely welcoming place to stay. Easy to walk around the town and lovely for waking in general. I’d definitely like to return.

Me, my girlfriend and our dog stayed at Lisas place just last weekend and we had a great time. The place is exactly as described, easy to find & access, clear check-in instructions and no issues at all with the facilities. It is well situated for walks in the north of the Peak District, the Below Kinder Scout Circular you can actually do directly from the door (although its hiller than we thought!). The only negative in terms of location was that the cafes in the village are now closed, as well as one of the pubs, but The Pack Horse and the Sportsman Inn are both well worth visiting for lunch / dinner.

We have just had a perfect retreat at Michelle’s stunning home. It is a 10 minute walk into the lovely town of Marsden with several good pubs and restaurants and a fantastic gastropub that we visited twice, The Riverhead Brewery Tap. After an exciting time in town at a friends wedding we went back to peace and quiet a very short walk away. The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable and the room was quiet. The kitchen is very well equipped and the house was spotless. There is a handy parking ramp adjacent to the house with a gate, if you are precious about your wheels, and a private garden out the back which is a perfect sun-trap if you need some fresh air after a long drive. Also, there is a very good, powerful shower on the first floor which was perfect to revive ourselves before a night on the town. We arrived to find milk in the fridge for much needed cups of tea and crumpets, butter and jam for breakfast which felt like a treat. We will happily return.

Lovely property and really helpful owner makes for a cracking stay .Micheala was just great to deal with and her house is superb. Lovely stay!!!

Absolutely Love this cottage. Like a fairytale cottage amongst the most beautiful grounds. Brian and Judy are lovely and even left more fire logs for us on our return from a day out at chester, most appreciated as we love the open fire. Thank you so much for letting us stay, so peaceful. It was much needed , many many thanks Karen and Paul and of course George loved it.

We had a lovely weekend at Apricot Cottage. A beautiful cottage with amazing amenities. The Christmas tree was a lovely touch and we all enjoyed roasting the complimentary marshmallows over the log fire. Lovely cake and hot chocolate treats too. The beds were so comfortable and the house and whole area so peaceful. Very family friendly. We’d love to stay again in the future and would highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic stay - just a stunning beautiful cosy cottage with beautiful furniture, kitchen , bathroom and bedroom. Attention to detail is incredible- Marieanne’s a wonderful host and couldn’t have been more helpful- nothing to much trouble. Parked the car safely outside the property and walked into Castleton with all the great amenities. Thankyou Marieanne

Winston's accommodation was perfect for what we wanted. 5 min walk to tram to get to Manchester City. The apartment was a lovely bigger than expected, with everything we need and the added bonus of a breakfast hamper. We will definitely be back and we have recommended to family for future visits.

This is one of the nicest Airbnb places I have stayed in: a friendly and responsive host, excellent location and very cosy and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable and we felt at home. I will definitely be adding this to my list of favourites and returning next year.

This is the second time we have stayed at The Old Post Office which is ideally located for us to meet up with relatives and friends. On this visit, it was for a family occasion. The cottage has all the facilities you could wish for, it is cosy and in a quiet ideal position. It is also opposite Bolster Moor Farm Shop and Cafe which is great for meals and any supplies you may need. Mike is a helpful host should you need any advice, or anything.

Stayed for a weekend and had an amazing time, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and couldn’t thank Chrissy enough for being so responsive and friendly. Brilliant lodge and brilliant host. Will definitely be returning and I would highly recommend! Thanks :)

We had a lovely long weekend based in Longnor. A comfortable, warm and surprisingly spacious apartment. Great location. We walked the spectacular 'dragons back' route from our front door. Longnor is a central, pretty, and very peaceful village. Sad to see the village pubs and cafe all shut down. The nearest pub was the Packhorse Inn, a 20 min walk which was nice. A fantastic place, great host - highly recommend for a quiet break exploring the Peaks.

Charlotte is a fantastic host - very welcoming and has a fabulous apartment with quality amenities. Had everything we needed for our stay and more. Castleton is a perfect location for exploring the Peak District. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay at Diane’s bunker . It was very spacious, nice decor, great location but I would say it is up a very steep hill so would be better for more mobile people. Parking on site , lovely & peaceful location . Very responsive & communication with Diane too . Would definitely recommend the bunker & stay here again .
