Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Staffordshire Moorlands District

We had a lovely pre Christmas get together. Sadly storm Darragh hit us but that didn't matter as we had the log burner, jigsaw puzzle and red wine! The cottage was beautiful and well equipped (a few smaller sauce pans would be great). Overall a great stay. We had an issue with the heating - fine downstairs but cold upstairs - but this was rectified quickly with Dave and Katie. we will definitely return and we have recommended it to friends too. Thank you both very much.

We really enjoyed staying at Jim's house. The house itself was a good size for us (3 people, 1 dog) and had pretty much everything we needed though, being late October, we didn't make much use of the garden. The walk into Bakewell was perfectly manageable, both down and back up, and Bakewell itself is a lovely town - our stay coincided with the monthly farmers' market and we did a couple of walks around the area. It was a perfect base for a short break and we're well aware we barely began to do everything there is to do, so there's every chance we'll be back.

We had an absolutely great few days here. We booked with some friends and we all really enjoyed it. The day before we arrived it had snowed so everything looked amazing. Having the log fire to use was really nice and got the house really cosy. I would definitely stay here again

We were looking for somewhere close to where we needed to be, and would allow us to bring our 2 well behaved dogs. So glad we did. The house is beautifully presented, the attention to detail was outstanding. There were many thoughtful touches including the flowers, chocolates and donut dog biscuits. The log burner was lovely and the supply of wood much appreciated. Very comfortable bed and quality bed linen was again much appreciated. And the overall huge tick in the box for us was the house top to bottom is spotlessly clean. Highly recommend and we will be back.

Great place to stay in Peaks and explore the surroundings. Nice breakfast place round the corner and villages around. Easy and fast to get to the main peak attractions.

This is one of the nicest Airbnb places I have stayed in: a friendly and responsive host, excellent location and very cosy and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable and we felt at home. I will definitely be adding this to my list of favourites and returning next year.

This apartment is spot on! Highly recommend staying here! Really cosy, spacious, brilliant location (so central) and great for exploring the area. Perfect for 2 couples or a family of 4 staying for 3 nights. Our boys loved the comfy sofa and double beds! The master bedroom is spacious, light and airy. Clean, modern kitchen and new bathroom. Sally recommended 2 brilliant, local restaurants and we loved both! Thornebridge Tap Room and Woodyard. Great for families. A great stay and will definitely recommend it to friends and family! Charlotte is a fantastic host - very welcoming and has a fabulous apartment with quality amenities. Had everything we needed for our stay and more. Castleton is a perfect location for exploring the Peak District. Highly recommended.

This is one of the two best Airbnb properties I have ever stayed in (the other was in France). I was staying in the area for work, and the property was not only ideally located, it gave me a genuine feeling of 'coming home' from work every evening. Great stay in a peaceful location. Was perfect for what we wanted. Nice cosy place and great to unwind and chill out after a few days long waking in the peaks. Place was well stocked with everything you would need. I would recommend this property
