I love staying at the Rest! John is a great host. The place is perfect for my needs as a solo traveller on occasional visits to Rochester. Its so close to everything downtown, arts district, museums, food, coffee, nightlife. The place is always clean, tidy, with modern ammenities and conveniences! I will definitely be back. This was the most perfect place for us to stay to visit family in the area over Easter weekend. The host(s) were very friendly and responsive, giving detailed instructions before and during our stay! I've been coming to East Aurora for work for several years, but I didn't know about the Lofts until late last year. I kind of didn't want to say good things because I didn't want to have to stay at the Hampton again after having stayed here twice. 42 North is a really good brewery with fantastic staff. The Borderlands room has a great vibe and is really comfortable. The one thing to know is that one window looks right at a street light, and the shade isn't super effective, so I brought a sleep mask which made it better for a light sensitive person like me.

Enjoyed a two-night stay at this unique 70’s era style motel located in a peaceful, forested, Queenston residential area. Our cozy queen room suited our needs perfectly. It was spotlessly clean, bed was very comfortable and linens were high quality. Loved that restaurants, wineries, hiking trails and other attractions were all nearby. Check-in/check-out went smoothly and communication with owners was excellent. Overall, a pleasant experience!

we originally booked a 1 day stay which turned to a 2 day stay. the space was exactly as described. it was amazing. the one and only downfall was that an alarm in the room next door was going off at 5am for over 45 minutes before a staff member went and shut it off. You could hear alot going on in halls and in other rooms. conviently close to the strip but put of the way of all the traffic. I would plan another stay here again.

We used this location as a little getaway for our 10 year anniversary. It was so nice to be a walking distance from the Drake restaurant, Midtown Brewery and have the Creekside Cafe right underneath. No need to use our car! The beach is a 15 walk with some beautiful views. A perfect spot.

The property was fantastic, exactly as described. It was very spacious with everything we needed for our short getaway. It was easy to walk to the main street in Port Hope, close to restaurants and the shops. The communication ahead of our stay was excellent meaning there was no hassle with our arrival or departure. I would certainly recommend this property to others.

I have to say that we Air BnB A LOT!!! We are from Buffalo and now live in the suburbs but had a wedding in the city; so we got the Plum Room for the night. I was worried because I am a super light sleeper (I brought my white noise machine and didn't even need it) Although this hotel sits on a busy road, you do not hear any road noise; additionally the hotel sound proof!!! I was so happy that I didn't hear neighbors in their rooms at all! The room has darkening shades and it was pitch black in there, so good sleep was had!! I would TOTALLY go back and stay here, it was a FRACTION of the cost of the high end hotel near the wedding venue (and where everyone else stayed) but we paid less than half the cost of one night's stay there! It is sweet and ever so pretty! (It could use another blanket on the bed, but I brought mine and was super comfy!!)

The rooms are located in an historic hotel located in the village of Hamburg. The building has retained its older and somewhat dated feeling with lots of dark wood on the first floor. The rooms upstairs have been renovated and are quite nice. Among the best attributes are the hotel's restaurant and bar, which features well prepared local Buffalo fare and fun staff. We had live entertainment both Friday and Saturday nights. It's also a short, walkable distance from Hamburg's small but quaint village park and downtown. It's convenient to the Erie County Fairgrounds and the Bills' stadium. I've stayed there before and will again.

This was my very first Airbnb stay, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The host was absolutely wonderful—so kind and welcoming. They live on the property, which added a personal touch, and they gave us great recommendations for the area. Their attention to detail really stood out, and the space was thoughtfully designed with fantastic amenities that made us feel right at home. The neighborhood was incredibly walkable, which we loved! We explored the local spots and had an amazing meal at Rizzo’s House of Parm—highly recommend it if you’re in the area. Overall, this was an exceptional introduction to Airbnb. I can’t thank the host enough for making my first stay so memorable. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone!

For the location, comfort, walkability, availability, utility and John's responsiveness, safe-accommodations and value/price...almost unbelievable & unbeatable! If you need a place to crash or you need to stay comfortably for some time (i.e. weeks) in Rochester, this is going to be one of, if not, your top option. For multiple people (more than two), it would be a little close quarters to stay more than a few days--like if you will have any others over or stopping by. For my purposes, being in town for two nights for a sporting event, John's place was 100% perfect! Gave me the feeling that my college dorm room (which I loved and re-requested multiple years) had been upgraded to a way better adult format! And with a very nice, immaculate bathroom, retro-design little refrigerator and everything I needed/wanted. Side note: Walk to Ugly Duck Coffee for the best in-town experience!! (Though there is good coffee & maker in the room.)

We were in town for my daughter’s wedding. We rented the entire Inn and had plenty of room for our large family to spend time together. Had everything we needed to prepare meals while we were there. I would not hesitate to stay here again. We really appreciated being able to check in a little early too.

This was a great place to stay for our getaway. We visited the Badlands and Belfountain Conservation area both of which were close by. We wished we had planned to stay for longer as there are more beautiful conservation areas to see and also a sunflower farm. The Room (Badlands Suite) is on top of the General Store. It is a beautiful historic building. There was a window air conditioner in our room so we were very comfortable. The bed was great. The woman running the store downstairs was super friendly and helpful. There is a nice patio out back and chairs by the river for relaxing. We will come again for sure. Thank you Glen!

The Big Tree Inn is such a gem and I’m so glad we found it on our way to Letchworth State Park. April was a great and helpful host. The Inn is charming, the room was pristine, cozy, and clean. Loved the decor! Also, the neighborhood was super cute and lots of fun local finds within walking distance. Would highly recommend!

We had a fantastic 2 night stay at this beautiful b'n'b! From booking to the last day, Stu and his partner were so lovely, quick to respond, provided tons of local recommendations and hospitality was amazing! Everything is true to the pictures and the place is STUNNING. The room was great with AC unit & ceiling fan, lovely common areas, & a beautiful deck & garden with views out over the lake. We used the kayaks, peddle boat and paddleboard, we didnt need the bikes. Lounged dock-side & basically chilled the entire weekend which coming from DT Toronto was what the soul needed. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty - eggs, peameal bacon, croissants, fruit & yoghurt, juices and Tea, Starbucks coffee pods. We used the food delivery service Stu told us about, and Uber is subsidized by the city. Super easy & cheap to get to without a car & we enjoyed walking around the neighborhood/beaches. Bring some wine, watch the sunset and sunrise, and play on the lake. Honestly, we will 100% be back!
