We will meet at a downtown park.
You will learn:
- the meaning
- the origins and
- the 3 main schools of Tai Chi
We will start with warm up exercises called Qi Gong
- balance on one leg, "fox worships the moon".
You will learn the fundamentals of Tai Chi postures
- turning
- shifting and
- holding the Tai Chi ball
And explore different stances: "Void", "Horse", and "Bow".
You will practice partner work - "push hands"
You will learn the Tai Chi "walk".
There will be a package to take home.
The park is close to Chinatown. After the session, there is an option to take a little walk and I can show you some great Dim Sum restaurants. Traditionally, Dim Sum follows the morning Tai Chi in China.
NOTE if it is raining, rain date is the next day.
