This is a nice inexpensive place for a person visiting a college student in Cullowhee. It is adequate. Bathrooms are tiny and down the hall. The place is cool in the winter. The living room is gorgeous, but I don't think anyone uses it. I really like Josephine. She is a very good host. It is all I needed to spend a few nights near WCU.

The only issue was the kitchen’s back door….or lack of door, it was really cold our last night and weren’t able to use it, warmed our food and had to take it back to the room. Peculiar Nest was an absolute beautiful oasis. No detail was left out. The Hosts were very down to earth and nice - we sat outside for about an hour and talked about life and all the wonderful things about McAllen. We will definitely stay here again on another trip.

My family had a wonderful time in Medicine Park. The Wichita Mod Lodge was perfectly situated, close to both activities and restaurants. We loved the indoor and outdoor spaces. Marilyn was incredibly welcoming and had thought of every detail to make our overnight stay comfortable!

the hospitality and kindness towards me and my gf was amazing. everyone’s demeanor was so lovely and speaking with them was very wholesome. the rooms were very clean and cozy and the atmosphere around the campground was out of this world. i couldn’t recommend any other place!

Dreamer - Hiwassee River Access

Our stay was perfect. We had two of our young grandchildren staying with us and there was always something to do to keep them busy. Helping Kathi feed the farm animals in the evenings was definitely a highlight for the kids. It was great to have lots of room for running and we even had a campfire by the pond to roast hotdogs and marshmallows. Swinging on the crazy swing by the pond was a daily requirement. For the adults the hiking trails on the property were well marked and enjoyable. We didn’t get around to kayaking but maybe next time.

Check in was super easy. There is lots of space for family to spread out. Beach towels provided for the hot tub. The little farm next door was great! Horses, cats, pups. The host was really very accommodating for our last minute booking. Definitely recommend this spot.

We took a last minute trip to the mountains and we were able to quickly and effortlessly book the eco retreat. Awesome place! A little wild finding it in the dark but the directions were clear (use Waze app) and the host responded to us in under one minute even at 10pm! Beautiful little resort with awesome cozy amenities and tranquil “escape from it all” vibes. Delicious coffee and a neat little store in the lodge. We played checkers and listened to music late into the night at the main lodge. Like many other reviewers my only complaint is that we arrived so late and that we couldn’t spend more time there! I would also note that it’s A little on the pricey side, could be a little more affordable. All in all we were very pleased and I’m sure we will be back. Next time we will def arrive earlier and stay longer. Thanks!

This was our 5th stay at Providence Lodge and it never disappoints. We bring our entire collegiate team down. The atmosphere at the lodge and lake as well as the ability to cook our own meals makes the Providence Lodge one of the best places we have ever stayed. I dealt with Anne for years and now Jason. Both are wonderful to work with and will make sure you have a pleasant stay!

My experience at the Light Center was nothing short of amazing. It is a place of pure peace and serenity. The grounds are beautiful - you will be surrounded by pure nature. The walking trails were really peaceful offering rich experiences in the oneness. Sunshine, plus the sounds of nature (water, birds, and insect life) is great for the nervous system. The geodesic dome was breathtakingly beautiful and all the volunteers are super special stewards of the land and its offerings. If I had one word to describe the vibration of the land, it would be reverence. It felt as if time slowed down so that I could enjoy my time there more. Perhaps it simply allows us to be more present, without any resistance or distraction. There was no desire on my part to do anything other than appreciate and enjoy the stillness. I loved every minute of my stay. It was homey, cozy, comforting, peaceful and perfect. I look forward to returning soon 🥰. In love, light and an abundance of gratitude/Stephani

My family and I had such a good time! We chose to celebrate our recent engagement there, and hope to have our wedding there as well. It was easy to access, clean, very quiet, and peaceful. Our daughter LOVED waking up to the Camel across from our lodge. Our Safari guid, John, was fantastic and very informative! Most definitely worth the trip.

We loved our stay and would definitely recommend to others. The cabin was extremely clean and had many modern updates. It had plenty of room for our group of 5 adults, 4 kids, 1 teenager, and 1 infant. The two pools and hot tub were fantastic! We also enjoyed the fishing pond and caught quite a few fish. We loved the movie room! And of course we utilized the fire pit to make s’mores. There was so much to do at the cabin that we were content spending most of our time there. We did notice a natural gas smell coming from the direction of the pond that was especially strong when there was a breeze coming from that direction. There is also a very steep gravel driveway up to the house, which was a little scary to drive up and our cars almost didn’t make it (but luckily they did 😆).

a glitch with Airbnb caused double-booking of the listing I booked. the Robokiller app on my phone blocked Vicky's attempts to let me know the the listing was already booked and not available. She and Micky went out of their way to make a place for me to stay and upgraded me to a lovely cabin the next day. They are very hospitable hosts and have a lovely, peaceful place.

Loved our stay at the Graham Ordinary! The location was great, very peaceful and close to many trails for hiking and not to far from the downtown area for food and drinks. Our hosts were very friendly and gave us recommendations for nature activities and local spots to grab a bite! They also gave us the pleasure of sampling quite a few of their delicous Meads that they make themselves! 10/10...highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay here again if we are in the area :)

Wow this place was amazing. We stoped in on our way back to Detroit from Florida and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The place has amazing ambiance and views. We enjoyed the ride up the mountain at night it was so beautiful. The stars were amazing that night . Also Lisa let us check out at our own leisure and time she really was a great host. Terry was helpful. She showed up right away when we arrived to help us check in. The space was very clean and worked perfectly for our 3 (partial) families. We did have blizzard-like conditions while there so it was perfect to have a cozy place to relax during the wild weather. We did use the whole house and each space was well-appointed and very clean. Itching on isolation, we were looking for a halfway point between cities to meet and safely visit with kids in tow, and Mill Creek Ranch Resort delivered beyond our expectations. Cozy, cute, well-appointed cabins allowed light packing and made us feel right at home. We were so comfortable, and our youngest two loved their loft room! The resort staff were exceptionally present, responsive, courteous, and attuned to coronavirus safety measures. Tons of outdoor activities to keep the kids happy, and beautiful scenery. Blows a hotel room out of the water for just a little bit more, and I imagine five times better when there's no pandemic. We would love to go back. And their cabins for sale are more than tempting!
