Perfect location to stay so that we could meet our relatives in The Pickled Pheasant for drinks and dinner. Jeff couldn’t have been more helpful and provided tea, coffee, milk and cereals for breakfast, which was much appreciated

Simon is a great host. Usually responds within 5-10 minutes with messaging. He is very knowledgeable and Friendly. The surrounding areas are farmland and hills with sheep, horses, and cattle. It is all very beautiful, including a very close-by footpath that overlooks a good bit of it. The area is very quiet also. Walking into town has some really nice views along the way and is approximately 20 minutes. The nearby town is holmfirth which has cafes all over, restaurants, bakeries, and large and small food shops. The drive in is very short and finding parking is only a challenge at busier times of day. Loved it. The flat has everything you’d need in it. It has a big comfortable bed. The views from the flat are exceptional and it is so restfully quiet inside. There was rarely much noise at all from outside unless a bird was perched really close by. There is no microwave in the kitchen but Simon let me borrow his because as i need one to live. Highly recommend.

Well appointed cottages in a great location on the edge of the village. Lovely and quiet but only a short walk into the village, the caverns and great for longer walks to the tor and beyond. We stayed in The Stables which are lovely, spacious and roomy for 6 people and spotlessly clean. Parking directly outside. John and Helen were very welcoming and helpful and provided lots of useful information. This was our second stay here and would happily come again. Highly recommended.

A fantastic location in the heart of the Peak District. Perfect for a large family get together, warm and comfortable, safe for children. Lots of comfy sofas, big dining room table, full of character, great bedrooms. Attached to a lovely pub, great breakfasts and Sunday lunches. Even a small honesty shop in the pub carpark, selling local produce and essentials. The host, Fiona, couldn’t have been any more hospitable and obliging, nothing overlooked. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we’ll be back!

We had a lovely 4 nights stay at the cottage with our two dogs. The cottage was clean and we had everything we would need for our stay, including wood for the log burner. The enclosed garden was a nice place to sit and enjoy wonderful views and to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. Castleton is only a 15min walk along a footpath from the rear of the cottage and there are plenty of places to eat and drink in the village. We will definitely be back soon. Highly recommended 👌

Great property and owners. We stayed as 4 couples and 2 children and the house was plenty big enough with excellent facilities. The hosts were great , helpful and informative and we ate where they recommended - the Wortley arms - and it was great. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this house and we will hopefully be back soon.

Birch Cottage was beautifully presented and perfect for a family get together. There was plenty of space, definitely did not feel cramped or on top of each other. The bathrooms were clean and modern, presented with complimentary toiletries. The bedrooms were a good size with adequate storage. The beds were comfortable and the bed linen was pristine. The location of the cottage is stunning, halfway up a hillside with plenty of challenging walks literally on the doorstep. The pool area exceeded expectations. It was modern, clean and warm. Sophie pre-arranged with me the times that the occupants on our cottage would use it and that worked out fine. I would have no hesitation in recommending Birch Cottage and hope to visit again some day.

We had a lovely stay. Great views. Lovely cottage which had everything we needed for us and our two young kids. The kids loved feeding the animals. Nice walk to the reservoir nearby. Some lovely additional touches like cute little toys left out for our little one!

Jayne's place was beautiful, in a perfect spot if you were getting in by train. We personally drove but would be easy to find either way. It is minutes drive from the centre of town and Jayne includes a list of walk recommendations and food aswell. The room was stocked with everything needed and she even included some free fresh pastries for us. The bed was one of the comfiest sleeps I have had in a long time. Couldn't recommend more!!!!!

We had a lovely and very comfortable stay of 3 nights. I wish we could have stayed longer. It was really enjoyable spending time in such a spacious, tranquille space, in excellent condition, thoughtfully decorated, so well furnished and equipped, and needless to say spotlessly clean. It was a fantastic first experience also for my son to feed the checking, and collect and eat their eggs. Thank you for welcoming us.

Check the app for destination. Waze took me close, but had to use the airbnb app to actually find the place. lovely location, lovely brunch basket (catering for those that don't eat meat too). just wish we could have stayed longer. a short drive to many lovely picturesque walks up hillsides or through ravines, and a lovely run into the middle of nowhere via country roads with amazing views if that's what takes you (saw literally nobody for half of the run but a few small animals).

What a wonderful overnight stay- we all loved it! The accommodation had everything we needed and was perfectly located! We went on some lovely local walks with the dogs and our son loved the opportunity to be able to fish on the lakes! The tea rooms were amazing and we enjoyed a lovely lunch and breakfast before we left. We absolutely recommend.

Really enjoyed our stay at the cartshed for my partners birthday. The cleaniness of the accomadation was second to none and equally everything was considered in terms of ensuring our stay was perfect. The considerate touches like, home made cakes and prosecco that Helen kindly left for us on arrival was really thoughtful and made our stay even more enjoyable. In addition, bread, milk, butter, teas and coffees were all provided, which was again a nice touch. Overall I would highly recommend the cartshed and we will defenetietly be back. 10 out of 10 in my opinion!! Sadie & Andy

Headed to the little cottage as a last minute trip looking for a quiet place away from fireworks for our dog. This delivered exactly what we needed. Really nice location in peaceful surroundings. Lovely walks close by and the cottage had all the essentials I needed to cook.

Lisa was very proactive with communications and even provided milk as we couldn’t get any on route. Beautiful surroundings albeit maybe a little remote for some. Worked well for us as we chose this and only 10 mins to Middlewood Tram P & R

13 of us had a lovely couple of nights. Most definitely big enough for all of us comfortably and some lovely walks nearby. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. An addition of a coffee pod machine would be nice. Other than that the only qualm was lack of batteries for the TV remote (Six Nations weekend!) but we managed to find some elsewhere. We would definitely recommend to other people considering as the accommodation was lovely and the hosts very helpful, especially when requesting a late check out.

Great place. Comfortable, warm and a great location. Very peaceful. We loved every minute of our extended stay. And Katie was really helpful throughout.

This property is beautiful you could not expect for anything more this property is kitted out with everything and to the highest standard shame every Air B&B isn’t the same standard.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, our first time "glamping" we were a little dubious at first, but I'd do it all again 100%, really enjoyed our stay, Steven was incredibly helpful with any queries we had(not many albeit due to the thorough details we were sent). Really really clean place, honestly cannot fault anything about our weekend thoroughly enjoyed every moment, we will definitely look to book again. thanks again!

Nice house quiet area good location to get to different tourist destinations.

Sheila's cottage was extremely cosy, and a step away from beautiful hikes in the Peak District. The check-in and out were as easy as can be. After our hikes, we had a great time relaxing by the fireplace. We would definitely come again!

Our stay at Diana's was magnificent! The apartment has everything you need to be comfortable during summer or winter, and the location is perfect! (Keep in mind that it's on a slight hill if you have limited mobility.) Diana is very communicative, check-in and check-out were extremely simple, and the apartment has a lot of useful information about the area. We will definitely stay at Diana's again when we're in the area.
