I had a great accommodation at Kadek’s traditional Balinese home. It was reasonably worth it. Their family had been warm and friendly to me. They served me good breakfast and I was given the opportunity to try a usual Balinese breakfast. The place was exactly as described and It’s near Ubud’s city center. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

Very accommodating man! We had issues with our ferry (take note the last ferry to the island is at 5 pm 😭, do plan accordingly) we missed our first night, but he refunded us the night🙏🏼 no problems what so ever. Pick us up in car to and fro from yellow bridge. (Further your ferry will take you) Rented us scooter (a must to get around the island) made everything so convenient! Place is cleaned and sheets and towel fresh, though I recommend bringing your own soaps. Only issues we had were the lack of hot water, and a crack floor on the outside. There are definitely much nicer villa/hotel especially those with the ocean view. But you will not get a nicer one at this price! The stay is very very worth the money, highly recommend (a must stay if you are traveling on budget) They also know the locals, helped a lot when we had issues on the island. While the pool is nice and clean, I would say just go to the beach man it’s amazing, clean beautiful ocean! Thank you so much :)

Great Value for money! The room got cleaned daily, communication was too notch and in house laundry service was fast and easy! We will definitely stay here again when coming back to Ubud!

Off the beaten path but within scooter distance to restaurants and night life. Photos don’t don’t do it justice

This place was just about as good as you can ask for on a trip to Ubud. It had modern elements fused with some rustic elements. Comfortable bed, hot&cold water, internet, cable tv...and nice pools and public sitting areas for all your relaxing needs. For an honest review you should be well aware that you are living with the "jungle" creatures most anywhere you go in Bali. So be prepared for the geckos, marching ants, and the occasional spider. The staff is more than willing and experienced to help if any of these things becomes a dramatic issue. The location is not "in the center of things/Ubud", but honestly its not supposed to be. There are various transport options which are reasonably priced to get you too and from town which is typically a 5-7 minute drive away. The Area is being developed and does need some improvement on road infrastructure but dont let that detract you from choosing this property. The staff do a wonderful job of seeing to your every need and request. The breakfast is good and the restaurant menu options were being updated while we were there which should only add to its improvement. Overall if you want to spend time in Ubud and surrounding areas and you are looking for a relaxing place to begin and end your days, the Monday Villa (or any of the other villas on the property) will easily be a great option.

Incredible little place tucked away in the ride fields next to Ubud. I was worried about getting to the place but they picked me up on a scooter at the fitness centre and took me down the little path with my bags. The path is actually easily walkable in 10 minutes and offers a unique walking experience at night where you see the fireflies! I think the staff will take you by scooter to the fitness centre on request if you don’t fancy walking. The room was really nice and well described, and showering outside with the critters took me some getting used to but it’s an amazing experience (and I’m not a bug fan)! The breakfast and food and common area are so relaxed and gorgeous, and the cats make a great addition!! Staff are friendly and overall I had an amazing experience here, definitely recommended.

It was so wonderful to return after 5 years to discover that Mossca Mooi is still such a great place to stay. The hospitality was superb. The "value for money" is great. The location is just enough off the beaten track to ensure privacy and lack of noise. We thoroughly recommend this place to all.

The visit was magical. Airport pickup worked and I was wonderfully welcomed by the family. Dewu was helpful and very accommodating. The little house was beautiful and paradisiacal. I had the Garden Room and the view from my cottage was really breathtaking. Every morning there was homemade Balinese breakfast served in the room. The food was very delicious. The excursions I went with Dewu were beautiful. Since I'm traveling alone, it was good to have a guide by his side to explain everything. He also made beautiful videos and photos of me. Since this place is more rural and not directly at the center, you can relax and come down there. There is a pool where you can cool off. I am super happy with my stay. There was also always the possibility to get dinner in the room. The price-performance ratio is great.

These villas are a wonderful deal, and everyone there is very kind and helpful. Room was very clean and has all the amenities you need. They are a 6-8 minute walk down to Mushroom Bay Beach. We will definitely stay here again!

Absolute perfection. Such a gorgeous, secluded location close to town but away from the bustle and very generous staff. They helped accommodate rides and were so kind and friendly. All of the animals around the farm are adorable and it was very easy to scooter to and from the joglo. Would definitely stay here again next time in Ubud!

I would definitely recommend the place. Everything was clean and in the best order. Service was also of the highest standard. And thanks to the location, many attractions can be reached quickly. Many thanks again to Agus and his wife who brought us to the harbor for a good course on the day of departure.

What can we say, this place is special. If you want the perfect place to come back from your (sometimes intense) adventures, this is definitely it. Incredibly gracious staff, exquisite views, a beautifully designed property and rooms, and excellent food. It’s really quite impressive what they’ve been able to create at Maua. Don’t even think twice, the price is completely worth it. PS we left our passports and cash in the safe on our last day and it wasn’t until we were nearly at the harbor to catch our boat back to Bali that we realized. We contacted the team at Maua and they went out of their way to meet us at the harbor with our important docs - with a big smile no less! 🙏🙏🙏

amazing host such a nice hidden gem i absolutely loved every part of it

It was a peaceful and amazing. Be prepared to hear some noise since the rooms are made out of wood. Nothing too bad but something to consider. There was a restaurant with decent food, recommendations and full tours available. The host provided drivers for us, which was also really great. Overall a really nice experience. We truly loved the surroundings and the views of the mountains, trees and various plants. Would 100% recommend this to other people.

When we came to the island, we were startled by the pollution but once we arrived at the destination we ended up in a paradise..what a nice view of the sea, greenery and for us also the swimming pool. We have consciously chosen for small-scale. The location is a bit remote and you can arrive for 200k by taxi that Lina arranges for you. Showering outside is wonderful. In Bali, not had extensive sun and tasty breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is in between the rice fields, about 15 minutes drive from the center. The cabin and bathroom outside were very nice. Breakfast was brought to the veranda every morning. There were a lot of breakfast options. The swimming pool was also nice. If we had to mention a downside, the somewhat dirty pillows on the sunbeds by the pool would be. All in all we would definitely recommend this place!

We loved our stay at Nengah’s Airbnb. Nengah and his girlfriend were very friendly, responsive and helpful with directions and recommendations. Ayu was also very kind and served a delicious breakfast, portion size was more than expected as well with fresh fruit, pancake, toast, scrambled egg and tea/coffee! The kitchen was also a shared kitchen, fully equipped with what you need to cook and free double-filtered drinking water. The room was cosy, with a nice outdoor bathroom attached to it. Ear plugs will come in handy as the wildlife and chickens start to sing in the early hours. No A/C but room had two fans that created a nice breeze and was good enough for us. It was such a beautiful and cosy stay, thank you for having us ☺️

Absolutely beautiful bamboo house. Very remote and away from the hustle and bustle of the really touristy areas. The team were fabulous and so responsive, helping us arrange a driver when needed to the Water Temple. The food from the onsite kitchen was DELICIOUS. Every single dish we tried we loved. It is important to know that you can not order food in and the area is very remote, so eating from the onsite kitchen is really the only option. The house was spotlessly clean and we loved the projector where you can watch Youtube.

Very happy stay at Song Broek Jungle Resort. The welcome is professional, the place is quiet and surrounded by nature! The room is well equipped and the pool is superb. The restaurant offers a few choices for lunch and dinner and breakfast is served on a buffet, at the top. We tried the massages and relaxed. Thank you!
