I stayed 3 nights at Mahaloka Valley and I absolutely loved it! It’s a 10 minute walk to Crystal Bay Beach (great for snorkeling) and the walk is so sweet because you get to walk through the near by village and greet the locals. It’s close to a few great restaurants just a few minutes on scooter. Nyoman had scooters available to rent so it was very convenient. The food was yummy, everyone was so kind, and the location is very peaceful. I would definitely book here again. :)

We had a lovely time at the Ravine Suite. They coordinated pick up down by the main road and took our luggage. It's a bit of a trek to get there, but it was worth it to be out in the rice fields. There are animals at the farm, and it felt a little like a petting zoo, oddly. The restaurant was very convenient and served healthy, fresh foods. Beware, it closes for a few hours if there is a cooking class that day. The jungle bath was amazing, bed was comfy. The only down sides for this particular suite is that the wifi was terrible the whole time. We moved next door midway in our stay at the Joglo (only because we wanted to extend our stay) and the wifi improved greatly. Also, there was no kettle. It would have been really nice to make coffee early in the morning and enjoy the view. There is hot water available in the restaurant. There is only a fridge and water glasses/pitcher in the suite. Overall, it was a beautiful place to unwind and the area is just gorgeous. Great for families.

The most minimalist and beautiful room i have stayed in Ubud. Loved the glass window, I got to spend silent day (Nyepi) without planning and I am do grateful I did. Comfy bed, beautiful view, peaceful, close to the center and great shower. The water seems to be filtered, didn’t destroy my hair. Feeling very grateful. Very responsive hosts and kind staff. DEFINITELY coming back! Thank you so much 🙏🏻🌹

Wonderful local experience at Swarma Villas. Made is a great host along with all the staff who were present. The place is a hidden gem for those who wish to feel the nature. As a result, it is little far from central Ubud but that was the idea. It was not a problem for us since Made took us everywhere for the 4 days we there. We stayed in Dome, and yes the bathroom and the shower are accessible through a hatch and stairs which are a bit unusual, but we didn’t mind much especially with the charm that came with it. It was such a great experience to sleep in the Dome with no windows in the rain. To my surprise, there were no bugs and little mosquitoes. There is an active fast river just below, maybe it helps with the mosquitoes?? Overall, wonderful time we had at Swarma Villas and I recommend to everyone who wishes to experience something unusual and unforgettable

A very nice and relaxing stay. The location is very clean and you feel very comfortable in the private atmosphere. The pool was warm. In addition, drinking water was always provided, so you did not have to buy it yourself. You have to consider that the place is not very centrally located so there are no restaurants/shops within walking distance. However, there is the possibility to rent a scooter directly. In addition, a rooster crows every morning, which can affect the quality of sleep and earplugs are recommended. Above all, the exceptional hospitality and helpfulness of the staff should be emphasized. All in all a very good stay!

Really incredible place, the pictures can't show how beautiful it actually is there. The place is really big and spacious, the garden area feels like a garden Eden. We felt so comfortable. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, the food is incredibly delicious, and was always ready for us within a very short time. Communication via Whats app works very well and quickly (also very good Wi-Fi, and Smart TV). All our wishes were immediately fulfilled (floating breakfast, room service all no problem). By the way, it's only a few meters to the beach. You also have the opportunity to use bicycles on site. But since we loved the place, we didn't want to leave it at all🫶😅.

We loved Bagus! Such warm hearted vibes from all the staff. Jono was fastidious with the house keeping, Julie cooked amazing food, including gluten free adaptations for all meals for me! Bidet was a kind and welcoming host. We had some great jam sessions with the locals who play and sing some great Mentawai music! Note that power is only available at night as the generator is only run from sundown to sunrise which powers the lights and fans in the bungalows. Unfortunately surf guide Guntur got sick and went to hospital, but we had a great local boat driver Jusen who was showed his true seamanship with the long boat in the high seas!! The only think I would say is that it would be a good idea to confirm your desire for hiring a boat prior to arrival as we discovered that the surf camp boat had been hired out by some other spear fisherman for the first two days upon our arrival. We managed to organise another work around, but having this all locked in beforehand would have made the experience less hassle free! Overall the experience was top notch.

Jihan and her family were very welcoming since the beginning, they helped us a lot in deciding what to see around the area and let us know many “local” alternatives to the most touristic spots ( which are still a must). The place is wonderful, huge garden with fruit trees all surrounded by tropical rain forest and the sea is also on the view. As a plus, they have a natural swimming pool that can be used. PS the breakfast is incredible, hope will not change for future guests;)

Can highly recommend the accomidation, me and my boyfriend spent a week in the cabin and I am really glad we did! At first it was a bit of a culture shook coming there and being the only europian foreigners, but all the people were very kind and eventhough it was a bit difficult with english sometimes everyone made an afford to help with anything! I would definetly recommend renting a bike to get around, wou can also explore the hills with the rice fields. Thorbin was also very helpfull with tipps and connected us with Bob who helped us plan our activities like snorkeling and exploring the Island Butik Begal. The cabin is right next to the water and you have an easy excess to the beach, the house is rather simple but with that view and the garden it is very beautiful and definetly worth it.

Had a lovely stay here! Staff were incredibly nice and welcoming. The room was even better than I thought and perfect location-wise to do the hike. We only came here for the hike and I’m glad because the village is quite empty, not many food options and it felt a bit hostile. The accommodation totally made up for it though and felt like an oasis. Bonus: the pool! We loved it.

This airbnb is definitely an experience! Sleeping outside with all the animals and insects was interesting and of course totally expected since the place is open. The team prepared for us sprays and asked about meal options daily. Food was delicious too. I will never forget my time there. Massage was fantastic too and floating basket was such a dream. This was my second stay at Pondok Apsari with Ji! I first visited in 2016 and it was amazing to return to this magical spot. The home is very rustic and we feel very lucky to have stayed here twice as it truly is a magical spot and our favourite part of Bali. Ji has ensured that both stays were amazing and we felt lucky to meet with Ji again on our holiday so many years later as he is always amazingly accomodating and a great Balinese guide if you should need!!! We slept on the middle level and could see all the way to the ocean in the morning when we woke and fell asleep to the sparkling city lights of singaraja. We hope we will get to visit this little slice of heaven again!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The location was perfect! Nice and quiet but still very central. There were so many nice restaurants near us and supermarkets. You only have to walk maybe 2 minutes from the main road with your bags so that wasn’t an issue at all. 10/10 will recommend to our friends.

The visit was magical. Airport pickup worked and I was wonderfully welcomed by the family. Dewu was helpful and very accommodating. The little house was beautiful and paradisiacal. I had the Garden Room and the view from my cottage was really breathtaking. Every morning there was homemade Balinese breakfast served in the room. The food was very delicious. The excursions I went with Dewu were beautiful. Since I'm traveling alone, it was good to have a guide by his side to explain everything. He also made beautiful videos and photos of me. Since this place is more rural and not directly at the center, you can relax and come down there. There is a pool where you can cool off. I am super happy with my stay. There was also always the possibility to get dinner in the room. The price-performance ratio is great.
