Cottage vacation rentals in Solvang

This is one of the best stay we experienced with Airbnb. Jim & Kristin welcomed us and gave us a quick tour of the cottage. They also gave us many recommendations for bike rides, groceries, restaurants etc Their place is impeccable and very comfortable. It has everything needed to enjoy cosy days and nights for those who prefer to stay in. We highly recommend!

Great place and location. Loved the house - perfect for a small group (4 in our case). Everyone slept very well - an important check mark in our book. The deck is huge with great views. Very walkable area with a few nice shops / venues literally just around the corner and just a few more steps to get to the ocean. We enjoyed the views, the little wine store, coffee shop, and more. Side trip to Solvang (45-min drive) to see the Julefest activities and some fun outings into Santa Barbara. Lot of possibilities to stay in or explore - you choose the best fit for your taste. Definitely recommend Jen's place and we would stay here again.

This is the perfect place to stay with young kids, they have truly thought of everything to make your stay easy and comfortable. We traveled with a 2 and 5 year old and they absolutely loved the plentiful amount of toys and ride-able cars. We were very busy during our trip but they kept asking to come back and ride in the cars at the "hotel"! They were able to set up a crib for my younger daughter, and all of the beds were very comfortable and clean. They even stocked the fridge with nice goodies like milk, eggs and lemonade which is so nice when you have little ones and can't make it to the store right away. My husband forgot his toothbrush, and they had those too! Which is rare to find at an airbnb. I would definitely recommend this listing to any young families out there.

Elizabeth was a wonderful host and human being. The space was great, exactly as pictured. It was incredibly clean, with lovely details and no scents. She obviously takes pride as a host and left a lovely note and welcome snacks. Whenever I had a question or a minor request, she was easily reachable. Furthermore, the space is so quiet yet walkable to everything you'd need. I adored the running fountain, roses and grassy area outside the unit. I also loved that I had a dedicated, safe space to park in. I highly recommended this space to fellow artists who write and require peace, calm and great vibes. Thanks Elizabeth!

What a wonderful beautifully designed space. Looks just like the photos. The garden is extra large and so well laid out, so many sweet spots to sit outside and lounge, eat outdoors or star gaze. We had a great time and would return again in a heartbeat

Absolutely perfect for family and close friends. Walkable to restaurant, bars and right around the corner from the Farmer's Market. We thoughrowly enjoyed our stay and will be rebooking next time!

Michelle was a great host. She was responsive, Check-in was easy, the house was clean, and beds were very comfortable! We enjoyed playing the NES and the different backyard games. The house is extremely close to the water and walking distance from a lot of good food/bars. Would definitely stay here again!

First of all, John’s house is even more magnificent than we could have imagined. The setting is so tranquil and beautiful, the space is luxurious and comfortable, and the best of Montecito and Santa Barbara is a stones throw away. But what made our weekend stay particularly special was John himself, who was the consummate host and a really great person. We look forward to staying at John’s place again soon!

We had a great time here. Very comfy bed, very nice interior decoration, very cosy. We loved the cold dips in the pool and running to the hot tub. It felt like we were alone with the wildlife: deers, squirrels, a skunk and many many birds. The short flat trail on the property is nice. Highly recommended

Jennifer was incredibly responsive and compassionate to our needs trying to get out of LA due to the air quality from the fires. The space was absolutely gorgeous. The cabin was a dream and the outdoor shower was an amazing experience. Everythjng was incredibly clean, even the coop with all the beautiful happy chickens. We would 100% go under better circumstances just to unwind and enjoy the beauty.

We had a great time here! The location is perfect, in a pretty quiet, safe neighborhood, within walking distance of a ton of shopping and restaurants on State St. We loved the little yard with the grill, fire table, and hot tub! It was great having the kitchen, which was pretty well stocked with essentials. Just walked over to Ralph's for food and we were good. We were a little worried about the sleeping arrangements, because we had 3 adults and 2 teens, but Alan had two twin air mattresses for us, which worked great for the teens. It was cozy, but we enjoyed that aspect. Overall, a great experience! We hope it's open the next time we're in town.

A very sweet, quirky space that kind of makes you feel like you're on a boat. Beautiful eucalyptus trees all around the house. Extremely comfortable beds in the two bedrooms. The trundle beds in the living room worked for two teen boys, but may not be the most comfortable for older people. Very well stocked and outfitted kitchen in terms of dishware and cooking tools and utensils! But do bring your own cooking oil, spices, etc. We cooked and grilled every night and it was easy and fun to use the kitchen. This place has tons of character and is great for folks looking to have a homey and unique stay- definitely not your cookie-cutter airbnb. Angie was helpful and responsive.

What a peaceful place tucked in a quiet hilltop full of nature surroundings. Absolutely no traffic/people noise and lots darkness with an incredible view when the fog rolls away. It blew our minds! A perfect base of operations for a week stay with all we needed and the host right next door (over a private gate) which was helpful when we had a few needs that he responded quickly and kindly. We were impressed how close we were to things even though it felt like we were far, far away. We cannot wait to stay there again! Note to those that drive a Tesla, do NOT use the car gps/maps. It won’t get you there in a direct route. Use Google maps. Plan at least one evening to enjoy the night sky from the hot tub and deck with fire table and grill. It’s not to be missed.

Great property in beautiful surroundings. My pup and I felt right at home. Jonah is a great host. And I loved the luxurious yoga studio on site - What a bliss!

We loved our stay at the Avo Cottage. It had everything we needed. Our toddler enjoyed playing on the yard and his favorite part was definitely the goats. We happened to go visit the goats when the farm hands were there feeding them and were kind enough to allow us to feed them. The cottage was nearby the beach and restaurants, short drive to Santa Barbara. We enjoyed winding down in the hot tub. Something to note that I missed, the bedroom and bathroom are separated from the kitchen and living space. Short steps away but worth noting when putting your kiddo down. Overall great stay. Definitely recommend.

Dawn’s place is wonderful! The house is in a great location, walking distance to lots of shops, cafés and restaurants and has a sweet and charming vibe. The backyard and fire pit is lovely, my parents and I had the best time here, we wish we could have stayed longer!! I also found the beds to be so comfortable which can be rare in short term rentals and the kitchen was also particularly well stocked. Dawn was so accommodating and helpful with parking and check in, I would highly reccomend staying here!

Awesome and private spot tucked behind arguably the best restaurant in Los Alamos, Pico. The cottage is private, quiet (we went for New Years), charming, and very easy to get to. Perfect spot for my girlfriend and I, with a solid kitchen, nice bathroom, and comfy bedroom. The location is also superb, within walking distance to just about everything in Los Alamos. Book reservations ahead of time for Pico, as it’s worth it! Get the mushroom agnolotti!!

This is our third visit to Jesse's place. Each visit we stay a little longer because we love it so much and always hate leaving. It's a home away from home next to the beach. Fully equipped with everything we needed. Close to everything. A 2 minute walk to the beach, which in early mornings are quiet and perfect place to walk your dog. In the evenings, the beach is much busier (its the dunes area, so lots of vehicles on the beach) and a great place to kick back, build a fire, and enjoy the sunsets. But our favorite part is the deck. Beautiful views, private, and a great place to enjoy the sun. Always a five-star stay here, and we can't wait to be back!

We felt welcomed and at home from the moment we arrived. The cottage was warm and inviting inside and out. This was the opposite of some bnbs…you feel trusted to enjoy the nice decor, Aaron’s pottery works, all the “stuff” inside. We stayed two weeks and the weather was amazing. Enjoying the deck was a bonus. Thanks, Aaron. Next year we want to come stay for a month!

Beautiful home and perfect location near the ocean, the Oxnard Beach Park, and Marina. We loved the area and went for walks everyday. Also, the host is very responsive.

This is a beautiful sanctuary! I enjoyed my stay here very much., A two minute walk to the beach, beautiful gardens to enjoy, fresh jasmine in the bathroom, the Buddha fountain, wind chimes, comfy bed. A wonderful place to stay for your Santa Barbara getaway. Jim and Nancy are a delight. Thank you for having me.

Quiet, clean space. Lots of outdoor space with nice tables & chairs and a barbecue. Walk to the beach is about 10, 15 mins. The beach is gorgeous. One can walk on the sand for miles & miles. The only issue was that there is no ocean view. There are old train cars parked that block the ocean view. Thank you, Jennifer.
