Family-friendly vacation rentals in Solvang

This was probably the best Airbnb that my girlfriend and I have stayed at. The cabin is very nice and we loved these four things: 1) The living room: Big flat screen TV and a super comfy couch 2) The kitchen: Had everything that we needed to cook delicious meals 3) The views: The two decks give you excellent views of the mountains during the day and the starry sky at night. 4) Privacy: You get the entire cabin to yourself and the only noises you ever hear are the critters that call PMC home. It’s so peaceful. However, I would make the following advisories to anyone who wants to book this Airbnb: 1) Sleeps 2 people easily, but 6 is definitely a stretch. Unless people are okay with sharing rooms and sleeping on futons, I wouldn’t book this place for 6 people. 2) The dishwasher was broken and there was no out of order sticker on it. 3) I’d suggest bringing groceries from out of town. The general store doesn’t have much and the restaurants in town have sporadic availability.

Stayed here for a few nights and the house is really wonderful! Had everything we needed and a personal touch.

I had an amazing stay at Whitney's home! The space was beautifully decorated, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The location was perfect - a short drive to the stunning coastline I loved relaxing in the backyard, which was a peaceful oasis. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking to explore San Luis Obispo.

WOW!!! We LOVED our stay at Liz & Robins’ Haven! They made me & my family feel right at home! We loved every. single. second. and did NOT want to leave this paradise. Liz was very attentive to us & even picked us some plums from her garden which were so yummy!! I recommend this place to everyone (especially those traveling alone) as it is a VERY safe & secluded area. We will be back for sure!

Toni’s cabin is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy PMC. Quiet location, great deck and right next to the snowflake trail. Toni has great information on all the hikes and places to see in the area and is easy to communicate with. Always our favorite place to stay.

Hillary’s place was absolutely beautiful—peaceful, cozy, and surrounded by incredible scenery. There were so many amazing wineries nearby, which made the whole experience even better. We had such a great time and can’t wait to come back again soon!

Jennifer is an extremely hospitable and generous host! She was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay and always with a friendly demeanor. We had a fantastic time at the Fantastical Cottage! Jennifer's place is truly magical and my wife was constantly thinking she was in a wonderland! Very much looking forward to returning some time very soon.

Great place! Perfect for large groups! Beautiful location to really relax and enjoy! 15 mins from Ojai! Host was super helpful and responsive with great recommendations for local spots in the area! Highly recommend this incredible location! Truly look no further!

I just can't say enough good things about our stay. The location was amazing! We loved walking around and seeing all the birds and plant life. We loved that Morro Bay State Park was just a short drive away and we enjoyed the Bay & the sea otters that live there were very entertaining. It was lovely to come back and soak in the spa and enjoy the beautiful back yard after spending the day exploring the area. I would love to stay a gain in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Rachael's place. Everything from reservations to check in to check out was easy and smooth. The location was convenient to many great restaurants, eateries, shopping, and the beach. Rachael made us feel welcome with a nice bottle of wine and fresh flowers when we arrived. Everything was thoroughly cleaned and just as described. Rachael made some excellent recommendations for dinner that we adored. We had a little hiccup with the HVAC system, but there was great communication and it was resolved in a timely manner. We wouldn't hesitate to reserve this home again in the future! We had a great stay at the Cutest Cottage. We were there for my daughter’s tournament at Cal Poly (an easy 20 minute drive) and Dina was extremely helpful at letting us get in a little bit early so my elderly grandmother could lay down between games. We were able to make breakfast both mornings and dinner one night and although we came prepared with all our seasonings and such, the home was fully stocked in the kitchen. The view is amazing from the upstairs balcony and we used the hot tub one evening. The space worked out perfectly for us because there was so much downstairs space and a perfect bedroom downstairs for my grandmother to be able to get around. The only thing we just didn’t have time to take advantage of was the fire pit and seating area in the beautiful front yard. The plants and flowers all around the house are gorgeous. It was a perfect house for the 7 of us who stayed the weekend.

We had a fantastic stay—our kids absolutely loved it and begged to stay longer every single day. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach, with gorgeous morning strolls and stunning evening sunsets. We especially appreciated that it was dog-friendly—the built-in dog door in the bedroom was such a thoughtful detail, letting our pup come and go without waking us. After full days of kayaking around the Channel Islands, relaxing in the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind. The kitchen was fully stocked for home-cooked meals, and the welcome snacks were a lovely touch. We also loved not having to pack beach gear—the hosts had everything covered: toys, canopy, towels, you name it. Everything was spotless and well maintained, and the host’s kindness in offering us a late checkout made our departure so much smoother. We’d come back in a heartbeat.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Todd and Jodi’s Airbnb in Solvang! Their home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The location was perfect—just a short drive to all the charming shops, bakeries, and wine tasting! Todd and Jodi were fantastic hosts, providing clear communication and thoughtful touches that made the stay even more special. The bed was super comfortable, and I especially appreciated the hot tub!! If you’re looking for a peaceful and inviting place to stay in Solvang, I highly recommend this Airbnb. I would definitely love to return!

Very accommodating - listed for three nights we asked for two nights and Robert and Arlina made it happen.

I brought my mother and 6 year old to stay for a short weekend and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the home and hosts. The home is a lot bigger than I had expected and my daughter was over the moon with the huge selection of toys, including a little electric jeep that she could ride down the street. It is a wonderful family spot and the hosts gave us the best recommendations and were so friendly and welcoming. We made a lovely new friend, Edna the chicken, who followed us up and down the driveway which my kiddo loved. I highly recommend, especially if traveling with little ones!

We had a great stay at the Ohana Cottage! It was very peaceful and we enjoyed feeding the farm animals with Chris. If you want to spend time in the Santa Ynez or Los Olivos areas this is the place to go as you feel far enough to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, but close enough to all the towns to enjoy everything. Melani was very responsive and helpful host, can’t wait to come back again soon :)

Gaurav’s place was clean, accessible easily and as described in the photos. We had a little snafu while checking in but Gaurav was quick to respond even though it was past 11 PM. Recommend.

Great place to stay

Sean and Alana, the hosts, were wonderful with everything. They have a fully stocked and cute kitchen and a surplus of linens and supplies for a great stay. We loved the close proximity to Morro Bay and Morro Rock (you could see it right out the front porch!). Excellent location with short drive to nice restaurants. Not to mention the ability to charge your EV right at the designated parking spot within the property. Cozy, almost 100 year old Spanish home made for a memorable stay. We would love to be back in the future!
