House vacation rentals in Snowshoe

Moose Lodge was incredible from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the hot tub in the back, which quickly became our post-run hangout spot. It offered an excellent view of the valley below, accompanied by the calming sounds of a rushing waterfall, all under a breathtaking view of the galaxy above. The living area was the perfect blend of vintage charm and cozy warmth, providing an open space for the group to gather without feeling cramped. The kitchen was spacious enough to cook every breakfast and dinner in the lodge, saving us a ton of money. The location was conveniently just 17 minutes from Snowshoe, West Virginia, and even closer to Silver Creek. If booking in the winter, it may be wise to have chains on your tires, but we had no issues, even after snowfall. I usually like to explore different Airbnb options when visiting the same vacation spot, but I can confidently say that the next time I’m in Snowshoe, I will be booking with James again.

This is a cozy cabin on beautiful property with hiking trails right out the door, a small stocked pond, and great sledding hills. The road to the cabin was rougher than expected but we also arrived after lots of rain. I would not advise arriving after dark. The main floor is spacious with lots of seating and a large smart TV. The woodstove is awesome and puts out an incredible amount of heat. The mattresses are all medium-firm. No plush pillowtops here. But we knew this ahead of time and brought mattress toppers for those who needed them. Lots of warm blankets and comforters. We loved that the house uses solar and hydroelectric. This did mean monitoring the house’s power and several power outages, but it was always easy to get back online. And the house has a generator if needed. As a host, John‘s service and welcoming feel are unparalleled, and it felt like we were staying at the house of friends while they were out of town. He truly wants his guests to have a great experience.

This cabin was cute and in a great location. We really enjoyed our time and it was located near Snowshoe ski resort. The hot tub was wonderful little addition to have on the cold nights! We had a blast and would recommend!

It was great stayy, we loved how cozyy and comfortable the cabin was. The house was arranged and stocked very thoughtfully. Has everything we need and both Taft and Deedee are really helpful! The hotub with the view is one of the best parts! Highly highly recommend this property!

We had a wonderful time at the Cerulean House! The house is in a great location near Top of the World/Soaring Eagle inside “The Sanctuary” neighborhood. Very clear instructions, easy check in, and everything was as-described. The interior is well designed with lots of thoughtful touches. The hot tub was on and waiting for us. This is one of my favorite airbnbs I’ve stayed in recently and I would definitely rent again!

We had a fantastic stay at The Evergreen at The Timbers in Snowshoe, WV, hosted by Josh & Co in February 2024. The location was perfect, right at the top of the Soaring Eagle Lift and Widowmaker Slope. Garage parking was a huge bonus! Home was spotless, well-maintained, and stocked with everything we needed. Would comfortably fit a group of 6 adults and 4 kids. The adult rooms had king-size beds, while the kids loved the double bunk beds in their own room. The full kitchen, cozy fireplace, and spacious dining areas were a big hit. The views from both decks were beautiful, and the tall ceilings made the space feel open and inviting. After a 12-inch snowfall, the roads were quickly plowed. This home truly sets the bar for vacation rentals at Snowshoe. Highly recommend!

Wonderful home for our large group and kids had own area downstairs. Hot tub was perfect way to end day after skiing. Snow Shoe Resort short drive away. Would rent again if we can back to Snow Shoe.

This property was very beautiful and convenient for our group of 10. Clear check-in instructions and Mary was very quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend for a nice weekend!

Very cozy and clean. Awesome that she allowed dogs as not many places do on the mountain. Short walk to the slopes and not a far walk to the village either of course there is a shuttle stop at the front of the neighborhood too. Definitely recommend and will be back the next time I visit snowshoe

We stayed here for a family vacation and had a wonderful time. The house is rambling in a wonderful, old-house sort of way. The kitchen and bathrooms are newly remodeled and gorgeous. The back yard is a big open flat space with a creek at the far end. We loved playing games in the yard, relaxing with chairs under the trees by the creek and chatting on the back deck that overlooks the yard. We were within walking distance of a small 'downtown' that had an art gallery, cafe and restaurant. The swimming ares of Lake Moomaw are either a 30 or 40 minute drive. One thing to note is that the driveway in and out of the house is quite steep and if your car sits lower to the ground, you will only be able to use the entrance closest to the Jefferson Baths.

We had a nice stay on our ski trip. Overall, cozy space to relax after a long day of skiing. Slopes were very close by, just had to walk down a set of stairs to the start of the slopes. Only downside is that the back porch was covered in snow and unusable when we arrived.

The Tannery is such a charming home with a combination of antique and modern furnishings and art work. The location is outstanding. There is a big back yard that leads to a river with a private dipping pool. You can easily walk to the village and eat at the excellent Waterwheel restaurant . The Warm Springs baths are also very close and are very enjoyable. The bed at the Tannery is very comfortable, the shower water is plenty hot, and the kitchen well equipped. The internet is awesome. We would definitely like to return in the Spring or Summer.

Cozy place to stay, went up to WV to go to snowshoe and the drive from David’s place to snowshoe was a not too far. David was a good host and provided everything we needed for the weekend!

Such a beautiful setting. The home was clean and not cluttered with trinkets. It was only a short 20 minute drive to snowshoe but the peacefulness of the location was really nice. Fields all around and lots of wildlife and horses was great to see. We arrived late and host had left lights on for us which was very kind. Host was also very workable when we had a booking issue. I did miss the part about the water having a sulfur smell but later saw it was listed in the description. A 5 gallon jug of filtered water for drinking would be a nice touch as we arrived too late to get to the store for water. Our only issue (and this seems to be a WVA thing as we have stayed other places that had them) is all the lady bugs trying to and finding ways to get inside. We loved the layout and our kids loved getting to have their own room on vacation!

This house was absolutely perfect for us! Both Minette and Adriane were incredibly responsive. We needed a place to stay while our house was under construction and they responded ASAP to let us know we could start our stay that night. They were also very accommodating in letting us extend our stay. They were a joy to work with and I am very appreciative towards them! Our hectic week was made a lot less stressful by this beautiful and peaceful home! Thank you to both Minette and Adriane!!

One of our best and most enjoyed Airbnb stays. The cottage renovation is tasteful and charming. There's everything you need to cook in well. The beds are very comfortable. The heating/cooling system worked quietly and perfectly. The bathtub is to die for. The setting is incredible and historical. Each window's view is restful and pastoral. We laid in bed with our coffee each morning and watched the deer come down the hill behind the cottage, soaked every day in the Warm Springs pools, and sauna'd and hot tubbed in the the community spa at The Old Dairy's facilities. Very restful and lovely time. Deserving of a 5 star review.

great place for a large family gathering. right by the slopes!

Shannon’s place was great for 3 families, including 3 teenage boys who had the triple bunk and private bathroom. We loved that it was ski in, ski out! The front room for skis, boots and coats was great. Shannon provided great instructions on how to find the place in the dark and the information book was very helpful with all the needed information and recommendations. The place was cozy, just what we needed for a fun ski weekend! Thank you Shannon.

Great Host and Great Place. The unit was Plush and the mattress was super comfy with great linens !!! All in All a cozy property and easy access especially for skiing !!!
