Beautiful area - the most peaceful place I’ve ever been to and fantastic quiet walks straight from the cottage. Access to the coast in about 30-40 minutes and a thriving and friendly community shop five minutes drive away in Churchinford if you run out of essentials. Friendly hosts and really interesting to learn a bit more about farming.

Booked fairly late but were so pleased we did. Perfect location for what we were doing and so close to lovely beaches in the area. Property was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Would definitely recommend and return in the future.

We had a lovely stay and Anne welcomed us and gave us all the information we needed. The premesis were spotlessly clean and very well equipped with more than we needed. It was easily located despite being in a wonderful location in the Devon countryside with tremendous views. Anne kindly provided some provisions and her homemade bread and cake were superb. We recommend this location and would certainly return.

We enjoyed our stay at The Chicken House from start to finish. The house is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed, as well as some really sweet little touches. George was brilliant at communicating with me before and during our stay. I would love to stay here again
