Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Skye

What a magical place! We absolutely loved our stay here and already dream of coming back. The inside is soooo beautiful and comfortable that we didn’t mind staying in on rainy days. We could never get sick of watching the sheep roaming the hillsides or the ever changing coast from the fabulous sunroom. The only downside is we were unaware of the time involved to bring the wood-fired hot tub up to temp. It takes an hour to fill with water and “up to 3.5 hours to heat in the winter”. Since we can’t leave the fire unattended, we weren’t able to enjoy it until our third night since we arrived home so late on the previous nights. It is also very hard to find in the dark and the pin led us to the wrong spot. Google Mapsing the house name took us to the right spot, but we arrived in the dark and were unable to see the sign to the bottom right of the gate. Everything else was completely perfect and we highly recommend staying in this lovely place.

We had a lovely stay at the Beach House over the weekend. The house was huge and the view of the water was stunning. All the little details had been thought of and the place was spotless. A great quiet and peaceful location to base yourself when exploring Skye with supermarkets and great cafes nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back again in a heartbeat.

Lovely house. Very clean & warm Beds comfy Would recommend Just be very careful as the road to the house is full of very large potholes.

Great location, can walk to the centre of town. Perfect place to explore the surrounding outdoors. Great sized kitchen and living room for cooking and chilling in the evening after a long day out on the hill. Very practical, everything you need. Would stay again.

Beautiful home and furnishings, we had a wonderful stay. We had lovely fresh eggs when we arrived and enjoyed all the little touches Anna set up for our son, from toys, to books and his own little table setting. Anna was friendly, kind and very approachable during our stay if needed. Highly recommend this lovely place.

We had a wonderful time at Blossom Cottage. Such a peaceful place and such a beautiful cottage with everything you could need. Kati was brilliant, great communication with loads of great local recommendations and even let us check in a few hours early as the cottage had been all cleaned for us! Would 100% recommend as a base to explore the island!

Fiona was always proactive and very quick to respond to queries. The place was very welcoming. There was an open fire in the living room which made it feel cosy. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. There were 3 kinds of coffee maker including a mocha pot. We found everything we wanted. It was also handy to have a washing machine and dryer. The beds were very comfortable.

This was our fifth time staying at the property and once again we had a enjoyable and relaxing stay. The property has a great location in Fort William with the high street and the railway station an easy walk away, along with the buses to local destinations. The property itself well deserves the description given.

very quiet accommodation with parking space, we liked the interior and it is a 5 min walk to the city center with lots of shops and restaurants. The sea is also 2 steps away, really good.

The house was so charming and comfortable! Kids and parents loved the stay.

Amazing location. So incredibly peaceful and quiet with beautiful scenery nearby. Loved driving around the Highland cows on the road in particular every day. Beautiful clean flat that was super comfortable to stay in. Highly recommend.

Fantastic cottage in an amazing location. So much to do in the area as well as further afield. The accommodation is cozy and extremely welcoming. A delightful place to spend a holiday.

keylock instructions could have been a bit clearer but once inside the accommodation the apartment did not disappoint. Tastefully furnished spacious and surrounded by stunning views. We loved staying at a working station and although there were only a very few trains a day (about 5) it was exciting to see them pull up outside your window!!Would definitely book again - a very unique place to stay.

I had a great time and would come back anytime! Linda was very friendly and always responsive. I felt right at home and loved the cozy bedroom and the amazing views. The flat has everything you need and is perfectly located to explore the surrounding areas.

This is an excellent house to stay if you’re exploring Skye and honestly you could just stay in the house and relax even without exploring if you wanted to. The house is great! It’s in a great location with a quick 5 min walk into the heart of Portree while also feeling private and providing awesome views. The management team was great and very responsive. They helped us look for an item that was thought to be left behind and even looked through the trash for us. The only negative is the driveway. It’s a very tight entrance at the road that goes uphill. It is pretty tricky to get up so be careful. Everything else about the house is awesome though.

this was our second time staying at Ardvuilin and we had a brilliant time. As a group of 7 adults and 7 kids (ages 5-8) we find the house ideal with so much to keep the kids busy. The kitchen is really well equipped and the surrounding area is stunning. our only slight issue was that the woodwork in our room had recently been painted and was giving off very strong fumes but other than that everything was great.

Beautiful house with spectacular views & great walking & hiking. The house is unpretentious, warm & comfortable offering old world charm & comfort. Our party ranged from 3-63 and everyone found a corner of the house that suited them with loads of board games, table tennis & the billiard room was a great hit with everyone. The kitchen is well equipped & has everything you need for feeding a large party of people. I would definitely recommend this property & would love to return in the future.

Beautiful property in amazing surroundings. Anything you could wish for this property has covered. All the small details have been thought of and more. If you wanted a dream home looking upon the mountains in the UK this would be it. Highly recommended.

Amazing stay. Our family of 9 had plenty of space and enjoyed everything about the place. We wished we’d stayed longer! The home is beautiful, clean, and spacious. The surrounding area is even more spectacular though. Views of the mountain and fields around made it easy to forget about the outside world and relax. Would definitely stay here again

We stayed two nights at Moulin, lovely peaceful location, stunning views. House large and roomey but still homely, beds comfortable and fresh. Pete went out of his way to allow us entry as promptly as possible of the first night, great stay, super host. Many thanks!!

Very nice house, a short walk to the waterfront but not too close to be in amongst the visitors. Quite and very handy for the Wester Ross walks and climbs. Safe garden that our dog could roam around freely. House was clean and well equipped. We had fabulous weather but it would also have worked in more traditional/wet weather with plenty of space for outdoor kit.
