Monthly Rentals in Skipanes

Four of us, all photographers, stayed at this traditional Faroese property and found it to be an excellent base for our trip. Although we didn’t have time to explore all the amenities, as we were out photographing most of the time, the property served our needs perfectly for eating and sleeping. One of the bedrooms was a bit small, but this wasn’t an issue for us. The village itself is very central, making it easy for us to access various photo locations. The area is picturesque and quiet, which added to the overall charm. We would definitely stay here again. The only minor downside was the narrow road leading into the village. While this may not be a problem for most, we had the largest hire car available, so it took some getting used to. However, it looks like the road is in the process of being upgraded, so this may not be an issue for much longer and if your hiring a smaller hire car its not an issue anyway. In summary, this is a wonderful traditional place to stay.

Amazing house and very nice hosts. Close distance to Torshavn. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Checkin without issues, lots of rooms. Clean and cozy. Would rent again without hesitation.

The information, the arrival and how to get into the accommodation was very easy and clear. Communication was short and informative, so just right to easily arrive and switch off. It was very clean and simple. The location is perfect to travel the 3 islands of Vágar, Streymoy and Eysturoy. Tórshavn, Saksun, Eiði or Lake Leitisvatn are all a maximum of 30 minutes away. Can only recommend it!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kirsten’s place. It was extensively equipped, everything was pristine and orderly, nicely decorated and felt warm, welcoming and like home. Kirsten and her husband were such gracious hosts and shared with us homemade dried cod and whale. Kirsten was very helpful providing us with recommendations for places to visit. We will surely stay with her again on a return visit to the Faroe Islands and will highly recommend her to others.
