Vacation rentals in Shawano Lake

The house itself was the best-equipped rental we’ve ever experienced. Starting with the kitchen: no cheap utensils, no flimsy dishes—they didn’t cut corners. Everything felt like it was stocked by someone who actually cooks. Every little tool or item you’d expect in your own home was there. As for cleanliness—impeccable. This may have been the cleanest short-term rental we've ever stayed in. Spotless, organized, and not a single hair out of place. The location was fantastic: walking distance to downtown Menasha with its charming restaurants and shops, yet peaceful and right on the water. The hot tub was actually the reason we booked, and it absolutely delivered. High-quality Adirondack chairs added a nice touch and made it feel like home. We’re already talking about coming back—especially to try out the pontoon boat next time. Everything about this rental exceeded our (very high) standards. We own beautiful homes ourselves and expect a lot when we travel. This place lived up!

great place definitely worth the money, only thing that really stuck out to me was that there are doors into the other two units right in the main hallway of this one, was slightly uncomfortable I'm sure there is sometheing in place to make it safe, it was just a little weird.

Excellent stay and time spent with family. This served our purposes. The house had many extras including the use of a grill, a fully stocked kitchen, extra t-p & paper towels and clean bedding and towels. We enjoyed the view (on the non-foggy days), and wished that it wasn’t winter, so that we could have gone out on the canoes/kayaks. Luke and Giza’s place is a great location, and nice and comfy. We felt right at home and if the opportunity arose we’d stay here again!

We had a great time at Nicholas’ house. The size was perfect for the three of us. The view of the lake was beautiful, we could see the sunrise every morning from the window. Our dog enjoyed playing outside and running down from the house to the lake. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook. The beds were comfy and we also used the pull out sofa/bed. We also had a bonfire our last night there. It was a very peaceful and relaxing time we spent there.

I needed a quiet peaceful place for my family to decompress and breathe while spending time with my grandchildren. We just lost my Son a few months ago and we haven't had much time to just be a family. This little cottage gave us the first happy, beautiful weekend since our loss. It was cozy, clean, private and had everything one would need. Waking up to the sun rising over the lake was tranquil. It was the perfect place for stargazing at night too. It was close enough to town and very close to the park. Everything about it was perfect. We will definitely be booking again.

The place was just right for our girls getaway. It had a great location right on the lake. Since it was late fall it was very quiet. Would love to come back when it is warm to enjoy the water. The place itself was wonderful, the picturea didn't deceive.

Good location with ample sleeping room. We pretty much hung out on the deck. Great communication from the host. Everything was exactly as described. They had bands playing music across the river so we even got free entertainment. We rented pontoons from the place across the river. The fishing was extremely tough. We definitely plan on going back and next time we're going to try and time it with the white bass run. We will be back. We had 13 guest and we all throughly enjoyed our stay. Most importantly it was great just getting together. Thanks Lana!

This is a GREAT place to call home for a week on the chain of lakes. Beautiful space, super comfortable and 1,000% more livable than a hotel. Highly recommend.
