Beautiful handcrafted and fully lined with wood burner and oil fired heater. stylish, romantic and well equipped space with it's own en suite. Comfy bed bedding and towels provided. Sitting in the most stunning totally unspoiled and hidden countryside on a 3 acre sight with a small lake and boat ( think Swallows and Amazons in miniature ). 2 very cheeky resident red deer nearby prove popular with all guests. Eden valley and Hadrian’s Wall on the door step, North Lakes 40 drive. Great pubs!.

Experience nature and adventure in our shepherd's huts situated in 16 acres of woodland at Mondhuie near Nethy Bridge. We accept well behaved dogs and the hut only has room for 1 large dog or 2 small dogs. We have to charge for this and the cost is £20 per dog per stay. Please leave cash on departure.

It is ideal for one or two people and comes equipped with a comfortable double bed, a folding table, a small kitchen area with a microwave, kettle and toaster and a tiny private bathroom, with a hot shower. Outside, the decking provides a space to relax. The BBQ provides an option for dinner. Drinking water is from a tap on the side of the hut.

Lovely hut in beautiful surroundings. Attention to detail and some thoughtful little extras made us feel welcome, warm and cosy (despite the freezing weather!), very much home from home. Perfect location for walking and exploring the countryside. Unfortunately it was too cloudy for star gazing but we'd love to come back!

We had a fantastic stay at the Shepherds hut, communication and information was perfect, there were no questions left unanswered! The hut itself was gorgeous, perfect condition, and just as the pictures show! The location is so convenient for accessing lots of lovely walks or more activities like the safari park, but when you're in the hut it still feels far enough away from any noise of the roads etc. a 10/10 from 3 northumbrians 😁

We had an absolutely lovely weekend at the Shepherd’s Hut. Such a lovely peaceful part of the world and a perfect place to unwind. The hut is cosy and has everything you need to have a comfortable stay and the hosts go the extra mile to make sure you have the best experience. It was lovely to be around the resident farm animals – the fresh eggs were delicious!

Second time visiting this lovely shepherds hut, got back last time and rebooked straight away as it was the perfect weekend away with the dogs. There are loads of walks from Newcastleton to get out for the day - not that the dogs could be bothered after running in the field all morning🤣Any questions were responded to within minutes and grace was really helpful when we couldn’t work the shower. Will definitely be back, thank you so much x
