Beautiful cottage in the heart of Northumberland

RosieRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Had such a lovely first family holiday here, Tracy and Roland were so friendly and we were shown around when we first arrived. Cottage is a really great space and had everything we needed for us and our baby. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet cottage in beautiful countryside in driving distance of great places to go to such as Alnwick and Bamburgh.

Cosy farm cottage 30 minutes drive from Edinburgh

SamanthaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The cottage was a lot bigger than I thought it would be! You come in up a small hill where there was space for both our cars. It felt very private. There is a cottage next door, but the people inside were incredibly quite. The area was very quite in general. The cottage was warm and cosy and the decor fit in with the cottage, country feel. Both rooms were a good size and had their on ensuites, which came in handy with getting ready to head out for the day. They also both had somewhere to do your hair and makeup, which was nice. Storage was big, with the main bedroom having a big wardrobe with hangers. Edinburgh is a 30/40 minute drive, which was easy to navigate. As all the other reviews say, those dreaded pot holes 😂 Once we had gone through a few times, it became easier to avoid the worst of it, just be carefule with the one before the hill up and stick to the left to prevent scraping the bottom of your car!

Stunning Barn Conversion

StevenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
10/10 in all aspects! Came in to the AirBNB with the fire on and home nice and comfortable, nice touches and treats (homemade cupcakes were divine!) and lovely Christmas decorations also, it was really nice to spend time around Christmas at an Airbnb with a Christmas tree! The house was scrupulously clean!! Easily the best airbnb we’ve stayed! Lovely home, thoughtfully refurbished barn, with high standard of finishings The host was lovely always checking in but without disturbing - and even offered to prepare the wood fire while we were out for the day Dog enjoyed the large garden and peaceful surroundings Couldn’t have asked for better and we will definitely return

Characterful 1 bedroom barn conversion.

EmmaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay at Samuel’s. The barn was very warm and cozy. Beautiful surroundings and very close to Antrim and Ballymena. Belfast was only a 25 minute drive. 35 min drive to the Dark Hedges. Everything was spotless. Internet was very stable, I was able to work remotely. Would definitely recommend this stay if driving.

Unique 1860s barn in a valley of its own

GarethRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Everything about our break was perfect. The barn is pristine, lots of little touches and you don’t want for anything in the kitchen or living space. The location is perfect for those looking for peace and to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Acres of countryside surround the cottage and not another person in sight, only sheep and other wildlife. We got lucky with the daytime weather but not with the cloud cover at night for star gazing. We definitely plan to return. Simon is a great host and catered for us and our children with perfect gifts and was in contact as much as required before and during our stay . Our youngest was introduced to Subbuteo, a perfect gift! We have stayed in lots of UK places but this is comfortably at the top of the list!

AndreaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Liams! The house is fantastic for family gatherings! The kids were kept entertained in the barn with the pool table and table tennis. Liam was a fantastic host from start to finish, always available to answer questions and make great recommendations. Great base for exploring the Belfast area, I would highly recommend this house.

Converted 1 Bed Barn close to the National Park

MaddyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The location around was very picturesque. The barn was lovely and homely, with lots of helpful information on the area around and things to do. Highly recommend staying here if you want a good base location for the peaks, lakes or even Scotland boarder! I also recommend the local national trust sites around.

The Byre at Hole House

JamesRating, 5 stars2 days ago
This is the 2nd time staying at Emma’s , I stayed last year around the same time. The cottage is tucked away in the countryside not far from Penrith and the M6 motorway, it’s such a peaceful location. When I got there just after 3pm the cottage was warm and very cleans, in fact spotless !. The kitchen and bathroom use quality fittings and the walk in shower is wonderful (I must get one in my home). The bed is very nice, the mattress is perfect has is the bedding. The tv is small but has a brilliant picture and has a hdmi port for a streaming stick if you have one also the DAB radio is great . The biggest surprise is the speed of the wifi I got about 450mbps down and the same up, not what you expect in the countryside !. Emma left me a pint of milk, bread, homemade cake and a bottle of wine. Last year I stayed 3 nights but this time I stayed 5 nights which tells you everything !

Hexham, Northumberland fells, Walking, Relaxing

KevinRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We stayed over a cold December weekend and the place was stunning. Whether walking on the wild moors or snuggling in front of the log burner we were very happy with our choice to stay here. There were plenty of nice touches, including the tasty bread and eggs. We'd love to come back!

Swallowtails Barn in Rural Setting Heritage Coast

DanielleRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Cosy cottage. As advertised. Location great. Our first child free weekend away, it was exactly what we needed. Felt so at home. It is well equipped. Plenty of space. Warm. Clean. Log burner is a big winner. The extra special arrival treats were super kind . Harvey even arranged for some snow for us. We arrived in the dark, so had a little trouble finding the property but Harvey left us instructions and was on hand to help. Thank you for a lovely stay. Highly recommend !

Lovely barn conversion in the heart of Balquhidder

NeilRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We stayed here for 2 nights with family and loved it. Perfect location not far from the A84, very quiet and easy to get into the hills, but also with a few places to eat not far away. We had lunch at the Monachyle Mhor hotel, which was great. Beautiful scenery with the 2 lochs and the hills - recommend walking to Creag an Tuirc for the views. The property itself is spacious, comfortable and well equipped - recommended and we would definitely stay here again!
