A really enjoyable stay in a lovely property in a lovely village. Good amenities and had a really good home from home feeling. Doug and Katrina were excellent hosts and we must mention their kind gestures on the day we were leaving. Bad snow fell during the night before we left which caused quite a degree of anxiety. They offered to let us stay longer, provided our grandchildren wellies and gloves so they could play in the snow and even told us we could return if our travelling became too hazardous. They went above and beyond and their gestures were truly appreciated.

Lovely place in a very beautiful spot. Simon is a great host, very friendly and quick to respond and very helpful with our requirements as we were travelling with our two very young children.

We had an amazing stay at Pauline and Graham’s! Pauline welcomed us and showed us around and then gave us our space. The house is cosy and yet spacious. Everything was clean and tidy. The bed was incredibly comfortable! Pauline and Graham had provided bread, eggs, cereals, milk & butter on arrival of our stay. There is a thermostat to control the heating so we were never too cold or too warm. It was great waking up and seeing all the birds outside the window - they have lots of bird houses and feeders. Great stay! We would definitely stay again!

Lovely little cottage, with all the facilities one could want. Welcomed with fresh milk and nice cake. Great for our overnight stop from Scotland to Dorset. Would be ideal for anyone wishing to tour the Dales

Truly a beautiful place! The hosts are so lovely and made sure we felt at home from the moment we arrived. We had a wonderful time, we only wish we had booked it for longer!

the place itself is wonderful there's no doubt about it we really enjoyed it and Christina and jonny they're wonderful couple, cooperative, friendly and I would recommend this place.

We had a great weekend at Lucy’s place! Everything was brilliant, well thought out and really spacious. The place is lovely and private however, is only 20 minutes away from Central York which was perfect. Plenty to do with the added bonus of your very own tennis court and private hot tub. Would thoroughly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Wonderful place. We stayed over the Christmas period and absolutely loved it. The kitchen is well stocked so no trouble cooking Christmas dinner. Rob came over to check we had everything we needed which was a nice touch. Surrounding area is lovely to get our walking. Two pubs within walking distance, the one in Castleton the most friendly. We would definitely recommend staying here, we were sorry to leave.

We had a really lovely stay at Kerrie’s. Kerrie was extremely welcoming and her house is beautiful and looks nicer than the photos show. We didn’t spend much time there during the day and didn’t need to cook there but it looks fairly well equipped. We had a couple of issues but Kerrie replied quickly. The bathrooms are on the small side but everything else is lovely and spacious. Beds are comfy too.

We have just had 4 nights in The Barn, what a lovely place! Whilst being close to shops and on the edge of Leeds City centre, it was very peaceful and private. The Barn was just as described and was very well equipped and more than met our expectations. The layout was quirky and great, the bath was a real novelty. It was very cosy and warm at all times, the only disadvantage to that was that we didn’t need to light the log burner! Philippa was very proactive with messages to make sure we had everything we needed (which we did) and was on hand just next door if needed. We would definitely recommend to friends and family and would have no hesitation in returning. Thank you Philippa for a lovely stay.

We had a wonderful week of peace, calm and walking in lovely accommodation with wonderful views. Close to Whitby and plenty of excellent places to visit.

A wonderful place to stay and a great base to explore Yorkshire from. Immaculate property with everything you could need in it, and great fun staying on a farm with sheep and chickens around you. John and Maxine were excellent hosts, very friendly and helpful, they even invited our kids to help feed the chickens and collect the eggs, which our kids loved doing! All in all we had a great break, very peaceful and relaxing, and would thoroughly recommend to others. We hope to come back again at some point in the future!

This cottage fully deserves a 5 star rating and is very well equipped. It was warm, comfortable and clean The location is beautiful. We will definitely re book.

The Cow Shed is a great place to stay to discover North Yorkshire. Although attached to the owners house it’s extremely private with its own entrance. The views are spectacular and when we were there in late August lavender bushes were flowering all around the property. Lucy was a kind, communicative and attentive host and the information provided in the house about local walks, pubs, restaurants etc was extremely useful. We particularly enjoyed The Square and Compass pub nearby. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. We loved the four poster bed with views across the countryside and the pool table provided hours of entertainment!

This was our second time staying at the property and we will undoubtedly be back again. The location is beautiful and serene and you can be in the hills or by the coast in a short time. The barn itself is fabulous and has absolutely everything you need and more. Wendy & Dixie are the perfect hosts and treat you like a member of their family. Nothing is too much trouble.

Amazing place to celebrate my mum’s birthday weekend. Sue was accommodating and always available during our stay for any questions. Private pool was brilliant and we enjoyed an evening in the pizza shack. Thank you!

Caroline was a great host. She greeted us when we arrived, asking how our long journey had been. Clear instructions were provided in advance and also house rules printed out. Caroline was really supportive of us arriving with 2 young children and offered a cot and high chair for our youngest which helped a lot! The kitchen met our basic needs and had everything we needed. Once we had read the instructions on the heating we were nice and toasty on a cold January stay. We would happily stay here again and appreciated the flexibility offered on check out x

We had the most amazing time. From the moment we arrived to when we left they made us feel like part of the family. They catered for everything and there was a wonderful welcome basket on arrival. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. We will be back. Thank you.

Had a brilliant stay at the barn. The space was perfect for our family of 4 and our furry friend. Kids loved the games room and the hubby loved making fire in the log burner! We commented several times on how quiet it was. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Loved the cake and other goodies as a welcome pack! Nice to have a Nespresso machine, a pool table, 2 living areas, 2 shower rooms etc - felt like extra touches of luxury for hubbys bday weekend. Lots to do and see in the area. We’ld love to go back sometime! Highly recommend! Thanks Katharine and Kris!

We had a lovely weekend at Pond Cottage, we wished we had booked an extra night! The hot tub over looking the field was gorgeous and it was a beautiful location with lots of local walks. Plenty of wood for the wood burner and a comfortable cosy cottage.
