Mateo’s place is magical. Its location below the main house but directly in the redwood grove was beyond our expectation. So, so gorgeous! What a treat to open the door and be immersed in such a beautiful forest! The space was exactly as advertised. Comfortable bed, plenty of pillows, a cozy fireplace, great shower pressure, very private, and a clean kitchenette space. My husband and I spent the better part of two weeks here (visiting local friends, but wanting our own space), and it was great to be in a friendly, eclectic, creative neighborhood endorsed by people we know well. (We walked the loop in the nearby Henry Cowell park almost every day.) Mateo was kind, the resident kitty Piper was lovely, and we can’t recommend the space highly enough. It really was the perfect Northern California redwoods retreat. Many thanks to Mateo for opening such a peaceful space to visitors.

Without a doubt, Lisa’s home is absolutely INCREDIBLE. From the first moment I arrived, Lisa gave me the tour, and we got along famously! She’s so kind, generous and is extremely friendly. I can’t think of anything I wanted for. The only problem I had: I wasn’t able to stay long enough. Peter and Marie’s place was very comfortable. Slept like a log. Sunny Cove is an easy walk for a view of the ocean which we enjoyed at sunset. If it had not rained so much we would have been out on the patio for sure. The rain kept us cozy though.

EJ and Nancy have such a lovely property. We easily felt we had our own space. You can tell that they've been doing this for years, and have a great way of making everything comfortable for guests. Our two kids had space to spread out, the playground is not directly next to the front door of the apartment, but you can see it through the yard's trees & hear them more or less within ear shot. Kitchen was amply supplied and set up, & there are plenty of storage spaces and creature comforts to make the stay feel like home. Beds were comfortable & clean, super comfortable pillows. The unit itself doesn't get a ton of natural light, but to be expected in redwoods. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, we had a nice time chatting with them. Wonderful hosts, they felt like family. Their little dog is so so sweet and friendly as well, my kids loved the dog. Great location, easy to get to surrounding areas and Santa Cruz proper. Would return!

Great guest area sectioned off from the rest of the house. Location was beautiful and convenient for both mountain and beach activities. Very responsive/helpful host.

Lisa and her partner were very accommodating. I was between my home that sold fast and my new place pending. They helped me secure additional housing and accommodated everything I asked. Very nice people, hopefully friends for life.

Gabriel’s place was very beautiful. Our favorite air bnb by far. If we ever stay in Aptos again this will definitely be our go-to.

Our stay was great. The house has lots of space and room to relax. The outside is quiet, calm, and peaceful. We would like to return in the summer to enjoy the outside more. We met the owner who was very receptive to our suggests of providing more detailed instructions to access gate and to leave an outside light on for guest to see the house from the driveway when it is dark. These hosts are SO nice and it is really such a pleasant and well maintained property in a beautiful location. the kitchenette works very well with a better working hood than many rentals with a full kitchen!

We really enjoyed our stay here, it is in a great location, walking distance to groceries, coffee, restaurants and beach. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Mariah was very easy to communicate with, we would definitely recommend her place!

Amazing place that’s way worth the money. While it may be small it feels right at home with things you don’t find at your actual home like speakers around the house!! Host was flexible even with me getting there about 5 hours later than expected. Would recommend and would definitely book again!

My boyfriend and I spent our Valentine’s Day Weekend at this lovely cottage and we adored our time there! The garden is well maintained and so beautiful and peaceful to walk around. Kris, Lynn, and their sweet dogs were so welcoming and accommodating. Milo was also the most well behaved and gentle good boy and we enjoyed our time giving him belly rubs and head scratches during our mornings on the patio. We were so sad to leave and are looking forward to our next visit!

This place was perfect for my summer internship. There are lots of great restaurants nearby, and Elizabeth was extremely responsive and friendly!

There were absolutely no compromises or downside to this stay! I booked this Airbnb for my parents (both in their 80's) as their home away from home for a two month visit in Santa Cruz. Logistically, everything from the street level entry, one level living, shower with no step-up, sliding door off the bedroom to the park-like back yard, to the heated floors etc... made this an ideal place for them to live easily and comfortably. Pair that with the beautiful, idyllic location about a block from West Cliff Drive along Monterey Bay, & acute detail to comfort and this rental can't be beat! My mom walked miles everyday along Westcliff and picked up lunch a couple times a week from the fantastic & delicious oceanside walk-up restaurant Steamers. Both my parents enjoyed the amenities of the serene back yard with a grill, hot tub, picnic table, fire pit & cozy chairs. My parents come visit for a couple months every year and are excited about returning to this rental in early 2025!

Irene and Gary’s listing had clear instructions and they made it known that they were there to help with anything we might need. Would 100% recommend to friends and will hopefully stay again!

We loved our stay. It’s a beautiful property, modern and with the amenities we needed especially a washer dryer. The hosts were very friendly and sweet and always responsive. The location was great for both downtown Los Gatos and downtown Saratoga restaurants and shopping. I would highly recommend this Airbnb.
