Guesthouse vacation rentals in Santa Cruz County

Magical! That is the word that just kept coming up for us! What a lovely place! Chrissi and Stephen were just as sweet as the place! Great and easy location to get to all things Santa Cruz (of course the Redwoods too!). We just loved the cozy and unique vibe, the gardens, you just step into a little retreat as soon as you arrive. It had all we needed. Parking is street parking, which we had a slight concern with (I am an over packer!), but we were able to find a space right near out front every time (literally!). We will be back, I have no doubt!

First impression- WOW! House is very spacious and clean. Stocked with every need. The house was very quiet inside. Owner (Gabriel) was very helpful with local recommendations and accommodating a special request. Gabriel was very responsive and stayed in communication with me when I had any questions leading up to the time of our stay. He was also very kind and accommodating to our needs. I highly recommend staying here. It’s a great location near to stores, restaurants and downtown. Definitely somewhere we will be coming back to.

Great stay. Check-in couldn't have been easier, and the place was so easy to find, and very private even behind another house. We loved the surroundings, the neighborhood was great, and the house was perfect. We were surprised and pleased with how well-stocked the kitchen was, though we didn't use much. The bathroom and shower were standouts, and the rooms had extra blankets which was nice. Clean was the operative word, which was wonderful. We'd be happy to come here again!

Cute guesthouse, total privacy, great location in Santa Cruz. Sarah sent clear instructions and we had no problem finding extra towels, coffee, etc. There’s even a little s’mores kit included to utilize the fire pit—which we unfortunately didn’t have time to use. Street parking was easy to find and we could walk to the pier or SC downtown. Very much recommend and would stay again.

We spent almost 3 weeks in this cozy and charming apartment. The location is perfect for experiencing all that Santa Cruz has to offer and we walked to the beach, wharf, and Boardwalk daily. Many coffee shops and restaurants are blocks away. Mike was extremely responsive and friendly, but not intrusive at all. We hope to stay here again.

Had an absolutely lovely stay at Rezan’s place. She was the utmost in hospitableness and thoughtfulness The property is absolutely gorgeous, filled with birds and trees and flowers and the sound of frogs, statuary, walking paths, places to sit and enjoy the environment, a little pond with fountain, and just minutes to downtown Los Gatos. I had the best stay.

Ray’s place is like a home away from home tor us and we appreciate especially his accommodating change that arose this trip - quiet house, convenient location, and everything we needed.

We have a wonderful stay at this charming cottage in Los Gatos. The view was absolutely breathtaking, offering a serene and peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The area itself was gorgeous, surrounded by nature and quiet, making it the prefect spot to relax and unwind. The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure everything was prefect during our stay. We highly recommend this peaceful retreat for anyone looking for a calm gateway in a beautiful setting.

Super cute place! Our kids loved the ducks and horses across the street. They couldn’t wait to explore! The house is very well stocked- games, kids toys, cookware, laundry soap… everything you can think of! We had a really great time, and it’s such a unique place to get to stay!

First off I want to publicly say Thank Betsey for everything!! Great location, easy freeway access. Very close to downtown for restaurants and entertainment. For extended stays it is the best!!

Excellent location, nice kitchen access and outdoor space. Felt like a high end/older folks vibe than a traditional hostel. Me and my 10 yo felt very welcomed. Had everything we needed to make our short stay in Santa Cruz fun. The online check in/key system was kind of a pain- my out of state cell service was crappy so even though I did pre-check in there was more online to do upon arrival- luckily the kind woman at check in helped me face to face - but something to keep in mind if you have bad service or aren’t super tech savvy. Also the beds weren’t super comfy. That said, I would definitely come back/stay longer.

We will be returning for sure. Kimberly and the space could not have been better for our needs. We've been touring colleges with our daughter and for our UCSC round we found the location to be utterly peaceful and quiet and exactly as described and clean as a whistle. It's one block from one of the prettiest beaches and has a ton of food/amenities located nearby. Kimberly was highly communicative and offered lots of useful suggestions both for restaurants and things to do while in the area. If our child ends up at UCSC we will be benefit from this space regularly. Thanks for the wonderful offering and help, Kimberly.

This is my 3rd or 4th time staying at Pedram's place and every time is perfect. Pedram is super easy to communicate with and responsive. The place is exactly what I want and has excellent appliances and layout.

Farah's Airbnb was wonderful! Everything was extremely clean (we appreciated that they ask guests to remove shoes when entering - we do the same!). We were very comfortable and appreciated all of the amenities. It was very thoughtful to label things that may not be obvious as to how the work. The location was perfect - a quiet neighborhood close to everything. There was nothing more we could have asked for to make for a perfect visit! -Ken

Our stay at Kyle’s was lovely and easy! It was a perfect home base for our adventures in the nearby state parks. The chickens are very cute, but if you’re a light sleeper looking for quiet, you may hear them in the morning. The eggs are amazing and such a wonderful addition to a comfortable stay. We had everything we needed and then some! Would definitely stay again during a trip to the Santa Cruz area.

Amazing stay! Location is unbeatable (I grew up in Santa Cruz so I know!) the house itself is immaculate with a lot of thoughtful touches from the hosts. Comfy beds, too! Wonderful patio for little ones to play as well. I’ll be back!

We had a truly wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The home was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing and peaceful visit. Dipti and her husband were exceptional hosts. They were warm, welcoming, respectful of our privacy and extremely responsive. If you’re looking for a clean, tranquil retreat in San Jose, I highly recommend this location.

Great host, very quick to respond the place was wonderful and I enjoyed my stay there and will be definitely looking forward to staying here in the future as well five stars highly recommended!

We stayed here for 3 weeks to be close to family. It was the perfect house for us. It’s a smart house and we’re not that smart! But once we got the hang of voice commands for shades, lights and so much else, it was so fun and helped make our stay great. We hope to be back next year! Gordon was so easy to connect with by email, he responded almost instantly. We would highly recommend this property.

This place was so adorable. Such a cute little cottage in beautiful surroundings. My daughter especially loved the bed in the loft. The host was accommodating and gave us all the privacy we desired. The house was fully functioning and as described. We would definitely book this place again.

The space is accurately described. It is very private, a modestly sized one bedroom duplex with everything you need like washer dryer and full kitchen amenities. I liked that it was so close to the beach and restaurants too, we had Tramonti and it was great. If this is available during my next vacation I will definitely try to reserve it again
