One stop from Tennoji, 10 minutes walk from Higashibe Market-mae Station. Experience traditional Japanese culture Guesthouse Heinezaka

DamianRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The Hasegawa guest house was extremely good. All facilities were functional and extremely well-stocked. Their guest house is easily the best I have ever stayed at, and I highly doubt that any other Airbnb will come anywhere close to the experience I had at their guest house. Their guest house was extremely homely and truly felt like a place where I could relax as if it were my own home. It was extremely spacious, especially for one person. I doubt it would have felt cramped even with 5 people, as there was ample space to move about. There are 2 convenience stores within walking distance (about 2 minutes), and plenty of food options around. The train station is also fairly close, but you could ride a bike to the nearby Tennoji station in 15 to 20 minutes. There is bicycle parking nearby the station as well. The Hasegawa family were extremely welcoming, friendly and easily the best hosts I have ever met. They treated me like a family member, and looked after me throughout my stay.

"Kyoto inn Kasusuke" is a townhouse rented from Keihan Kiyomizu-Gojo Station, a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

The place is beautiful, and Natsuko was so helpful and accommodating! She met me for check in and walked me through everything, and came by to clean in the middle of my stay. it's tucked into a very quiet neighborhood, but it's easy to walk directly into central Kyoto, or along the Kamo river, which I highly recommend. I stayed in Winter, and it was very warm and cozy. If you happen to have mobility issues, do note that the stairs are very small and steep. this is likely the case in any two-story traditional Japanese house, so just be aware of that! Anyways this was exactly the kind of stay I was looking for in Kyoto, and I would recommend it to anyone!

Junko’s husband Masami is the one replies and checks you in. He is a very kind man who has been really supportive and responsive every time I needed something. Every time you ask him something he does not fail to provide. He gave me great local recommendations. Even though the place is a bit far from the main subway, the place was great and very clean. Thank you!

Rapyuta monthly apartment 202

Very helpful host. A little dirty kitchen upon arrival, but otherwise everything is perfect. Very convenient to have refills of soap, toilet paper, etc. without having to buy them separately. A little uncomfortable area to reach the metro stations (20 minutes walk minimum), but there is everything you need in terms of restaurants, supermarkets and conbini.
