We had a wonderful stay!! The town is absolutely beautiful and so incredibly friendly. The hosts gave us excellent recommendations and were so excited to help in any way we needed! The town feels very safe and peaceful. One note -- Google and Apple Maps do not route correctly into town. The only open street is Av. Hidalgo.

We stayed for 10 days in the cabin and really enjoyed the privacy. The cabin was perfect for us and our dog. Bed is comfortable but the couch/futon wouldn't be ideal for sleeping IMO. We are in the "jungle" so expect critters and crawlies. Gorgeous views of the oaxaca Mountains and valley. Small tienda and bakery 15 minute walk, large bodega is 40 minute walk or quick taxi ride. Jose's mother is so sweet and helped us find the washer at another part of the property, Jose was available at all times and kind. Even though this is a "family ranch" the cabin is very private and quiet, there is a small creek at the entrance that my dog loves to splash in. We would stay here again. It can be a little warm in the cabin during the day but lovely cool at night.

My stay at Casa Labra was absolutely exquisite. While fairly close to another property, it was very private. The views are incredible. The country sounds of roosters, a burro, and the chattering of dogs kept me company. The kitchen had everything one needs and plenty of dishes. Caretakers were attentive to my needs and it was no problem, in fact, preferred not to have a car. The mototaxi came within 15 minutes and was happy to take me anywhere my feet couldn't. Excellent, beautiful hikes and amenities in the area. I will be back as soon as I can arrange it.

Great place!! Consider a car, it is a little out of Oaxaca City. The host and all the team are brilliant, really kind and will do anything for you. Would recommend as part of a Oaxaca trip.
