Vacation rentals with a hot tub in San José Province

We loved our stay at this Airbnb in Alajuela, Costa Rica. From the first moment we felt very welcome. The place is comfortable, clean, and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The location is perfect, close to the airport but in a quiet area, ideal for resting. In addition, the host was incredibly kind and attentive, always available to help us with any questions or recommendations. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers.

This house was one we will be talking about a decade from now. Stunning surroundings, gorgeous indoor/outdoor living, exotic wildlife, and a place you can breathe to reset. We saw capuchin monkeys making their way through the trees toward the beach, brilliant red macaws, toucans, a huge iguana with our binoculars, we heard howler monkeys every morning and finally saw them in the trees, and lots of friendly geckos in the house and patio area. We enjoyed watching them catch bugs at night while we played cards on the porch and enjoyed the pool. The drive downtown took about 10 to 15 minutes and Mariana was exceptionally helpful with booking a catamaran adventure and giving us local tips like places to park for the beach, waterfalls to visit (or avoid), coffee/chocolate tours from downtown Quepos, etc. She was so helpful and friendly. She also offered to stock our fridge after we provided a grocery list for a very nominal fee, which saved us time shopping and allowed us to enjoy more! 💕

This home is lovely; clean, fully stocked with essentials, and well decorated. The property is beautifully landscaped with a pool to refresh in and a hot tub to relax in after a long day of adventures. Tracy is very kind, great host.

I absolutely loved staying at John’s place! I cannot recommend it enough! The entire space was extremely clean and comfortable. I got amazing sleep because of how comfortable the beds and sheets (no joke!) were. We loved utilizing the pool and hot tub! John really thought of everything for this space! There are so many thoughtful amenities. It’s conveniently located and isn’t too far from the marina (excellent fishing), amazing restaurants, fun excursions, and supermarkets! I went to the supermarket several times and they had a great selection! We did river rafting and went to Antonio Manuel National Park (close by). There are some beautiful beaches in the area too. John was extremely easy to communicate with and quick to respond. This was my 21st country to visit and I’ve been to over 30 of the US states. I can confidently say this has been my favorite Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. I am a travel agent as well and would not hesitate sending my clients here! Highly recommended!!

A absolute privilege to spend a few days here as a family. A gem of a house that felt immediately like a home. We loved the quirks and the passion for enjoyment. Top of our price range but to us it was worth every penny. Thank you Tucker.

We had a great stay in this house. The view and the facilities were amazing. You definitely need a 4x4 to reach the house and it's quite a bumpy road on the mountain but it was definitely worth it! A very nice host who responds quickly in case of questions.

We spent three nights at Scott’s jungle paradise and loved every moment. It’s perfectly located—close to the city, yet surrounded by nature, giving you that peaceful jungle vibe. Each night, we fell asleep to the sounds of the treetops, which was magical. The pool layout is stunning and creates the perfect place to relax. Every room felt warm, welcoming, and like home. Scott has created something truly special here. We’re already looking forward to coming back and can’t recommend it enough!

We loved our time at Casa Thai! The view and house are exactly as pictured. The pool was especially great for us with a baby and toddler since it was a whole very shallow section (also good for lounging and reading IN the pool). While we didn’t see other wildlife, there were so many amazing bird sighting and sounds. The indoor/outdoor shower experience was my favourite part of the place - stunning views and felt so luxurious. AC in the bedrooms worked great. Okay, yes, the driveway is very steep. But they had just maintained the road and it was totally fine. Once you do it once and get over the thrill of it, it was more fun than anything else. The 4X4 does all the work and doesn’t need an especially skilled driver. Not a reason not to book at all! The host is so responsive and helpful. As good as you can hope for in an Airbnb experience. Absolutely beautiful home with an incredible view. Directly split between Uvita and Domincal once you get down the hill. Only about an 8 minute drive off the main road, but you do need a 4x4. Very large hang out space with a huge couch. Spacious patio with a large pool and the hot tub was a family favorite after coming back from a busy day. Cant wait to come back!

WE LOVED THE QUINTA!!! We were 12 seniors and had an amazing time at this beautiful and comfortable property. Francisco was always very responsive and proactive and showed us the place in detail. Ana, the administrator, was so sweet and attentive to our needs and also cooked delicious meals for us. Douglas took care of the beautiful gardens and the pool. We enjoyed relaxing massages. The town is close by and has a good super market and restaurants. We had a lot of fun during our stay and loved the place. THANK YOU all of you for your wonderful hospitality!

Two words “ absolutely breathtaking”! I think that pretty much sums up this place. The Host and his team were all super helpful. The property is located on top of a Mountain with INCREDIBLE views. You get a full on view of the tail once the tide recedes. The place was extremely modern and clean. I absolutely loved every piece of decor throughout the villa. I would recommend this place over and over again, to everybody. One thing I would recommend, is that you take the hosts’ advice and stop at the Supermarket at the foot of the mountain before going up. It’s a good 20mins just to get back down for some water😂

Very spacious home! A beautiful kitchen and a great patio to have breakfast!! The home was very clean! Large bedrooms! Carolina was excellent ! She was always available and answered all questions! She even got groceries and had it ready before we got there! We had a personal chef ! We will definitely recommend!!! So quiet and great view!! We already miss the place!!

Villa la Forresta is a total gem. if you're looking for a quiet(er), private spot near Manuel Antonio this is the place for you. The house is beautiful, the landscaping is lush, the pool cool, and the wildlife comes to you. From the grand second floor balcony we saw capuchins, spider monkeys, macaws, butterflies and the ubiquitous lizards. The property features three cabins. We stayed in the large 3 bedroom house. It should be noted that the third bedroom is semi detached from the main house with a separate entrance and no attached bathroom. This is a plus or minus depending on your situation. Your host Silvia is wonderful and responsive. she was able to provide great suggestions for activities and helped to arrange transport for us north to Jaco. A/C in the bedrooms, WiFi, laundry, and a BBQ area next to the pool completes the amenities. We loved our experience and hope to come back again.

We stayed at Whit’s place for one week as two families with young children. The size of the home was very spacious for our group of 10 and the location of the home feels very private. The views from the hot tub, pool, master bedroom, and dining space are all absolutely phenomenal! Which the owner, Simone the concierge, Vlad the chef are all true gems. Simone helped us plan our entire trip by offering recommendations that look for activities and was always immediately responsive, including when we couldn’t find our shuttle driver at 6 AM!. Vlad the chef is friendly, punctual, creative, and allows for a gourmet experience at the house. Highest recommendation for this amazing villa!

Beautiful location. Cannot beat it. You can hear the ocean and are steps away from a gorgeous beach that is not crowded at all. My children loved the small tub on the back porch especially when it was raining. Our stay was magical!

We went to this beautiful cabin to celebrate my sister's birthday and we had a great time, everything was clean and tidy, we used many things that the cabin offers and we were able to enjoy. We think about it and hope to return. 🙏✨🙌👌 Thanks to Karla for being an excellent host.

The place is just as seen in the photos, a perfect place to relax and enjoy as a couple. Sergio welcomed us very cordially and everything was clean and tidy upon arrival.

The cabin is super cozy and the weather is really fresh and nice, we were able to see a lot of fireflies and it was magical. Good restaurants around and easy to get there, definitely recommended!
