Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in San José Province

I have stayed here before and always come back - the apartment is perfect - fast WiFi and easy to get everywhere in the San Jose area. I use Uber while in CR and the location is perfect - Uber always available quickly. The host is always available and quick to respond to any question and recommendations… As they say - she has very positive energy and is a pleasure to work with on any request. I will be back for sure! Pura Vida

Great deal for such a great little apartment in an excellent neighborhood. Host was super communicative and gave information in a timely manner. Check-in was flexible which we appreciated because we were coming a long with way a lot of luggage. Thanks again!

Buk’s place was great, it was ideally located with plenty of restaurants nearby, it is very close by the centro historico of san jose and there’s plenty of dining options nearby too. The appartment itself was good and clean. It gets a bit hot during the day but nothing to worry much. There is security in the building and i would highly recommend anyone to check out the gorgeous rooftop they have in the building the view over san jose’s skyline is incredible. The only thing thumbs down i would give them is when we asked them to keep our luggages for a bit, they said they couldn’t, it wasn’t a big deal tho.

A nice quiet place to stay in San Pedro. Comfortable with all the amenities needs and close by to the center of the city. The host is very responsive and will help with anything you need.

We have been only for 12 hours in the apartment before the flight and it was great, clean and comfy and very close to the airport. Laundry and dryer machine was a great solution for last moment wash

The apartment is as shown in the photos, its owners are always ready to help you and quickly. The place has parking, and close to the airport. I recommend staying at this airbnb I had a very good experience

Esteban and his place was great - he was very responsive to our needs and let us check-in early and check-out late. The place is centrally located, very secure with a park right next to it. Parking is underground but plenty of safe parking on the street too!

We had a great stay at Esteban’s apartment! We were here for business and needed a safe and quiet place to come home to in the evenings. Besides the lovely apartment the complex offers a Gym, a Yoga deck and a pool, which was very convenient. The parking is safe (double security), people friendly, neighbours quiet. We had more than enough towels, a hair dryer, even some coffee for the mornings. Great price for value, friendly and helpful communication! I‘d choose the place anytime again! Thank you for your hospitality.

April’s home was absolutely perfect for what me and my partner needed. We wanted a serene spa like experience without having to go to a lot of places. We had everything we needed on our 4 day stay. There were great fresh markets on the way so we stopped for food and never had to leave out once we arrived. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure was great. April and Tony’s welcome was warm and friendly as well as their dogs Maisa and Graco. We live on the Caribbean side and wanted to spend time in the serene mountains for a cooler and relaxing experience. This will be our get away place when we need to take a break.

The house is large, spacious, has everything you want for large groups! We had a great time in our stay, we recommend it 100%

Our stay at Lapa Villas was amazing! We were 18 people and it fit us perfectly. Carli was SO helpful, communicative, and recommended so many local attractions. She also helped us booked a Chef (who we loved) and a boat tour, and got us a bit of a deal for our large group size. She even baked us brownies 🥹 It’s an incredible pair of villas and we loved the covered outdoor kitchen right by the pool, we hung out there constantly. The hike down to the private beach is great for viewing wildlife right at the house. The hot tub and pool were amazing, especially with our visit being during the rainy season! We were a bit disappointed by the sauna as it didn’t work at all during our stay, but hopefully it will be up and running soon. And Carli and Yader were both super responsive and helpful with trying to get it going which we greatly appreciated. All in all this was a great place to stay! 5/5 stars

From the moment we arrived, we knew this place was something special. The house is stunning — even more beautiful than the photos. Every corner felt carefully designed, blending comfort, style, and nature in perfect harmony. We woke up to the sound of birds and fell asleep under a sky full of stars. The views were breathtaking, the amenities were thoughtful, and the energy of the space was pure peace. The location is ideal — close to Uvita, Dominical, Bahía Ballena, and Ojochal — with hidden beaches, waterfalls, and delicious restaurants just minutes away. Whether we were relaxing in the hammock, cooking dinner with a view, or exploring the area, this home was the perfect sanctuary to return to each day. The hosts were warm, responsive, and made us feel right at home. We are leaving with full hearts and memories we’ll cherish forever. Highly, highly recommended — this place is magic. We’ll be back!

A great house, it had much more than we expected, my 12-year-old son says it's the best we've been to, Uber Eats available and fast, the best thing is that it's in SJ and as other reviews say the heated pool is a 100

We had a wonderful short stay at Francisco’s house! The place was spotless, beautifully designed, and had a perfect balance of minimalism and functionality. As parents of a little baby, we felt completely at ease letting him explore, knowing the space was safe and well-kept. Francisco was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely love to come back!

I can’t say enough great things about this place. Best rental accommodation we have ever stayed in as a family of five. The house and views are better in person than the photos. We loved seeing monkeys, a sloth, exotic birds, iguanas, and geckos all from the backyard pool area. The kids loved the pool table and ping pong table - the game room was a hit. The only downside with little kids are the rooms all have separate entrances opening to a hallway outside, so you cannot hear them from the master bedroom. But we would return to this place and I very much hope to in the near future! The concierge service, restaurants, and nearby activities are also outstanding!

As good as it gets! A clean, well appointed space (especially the kitchen) with a lap pool and workout gym close by, this is a wonderful place to stay. Dom was responsive, helpful and flexible with requests. Helpful restaurant recommendations added value. Two thumbs up!
