Definitely an excellent accommodation, very well located, quiet and above all very nice.

We loved staying with Luz and Manuel. We stayed for a month while working remotely and they welcomed us with open arms. I joined their dog walks in the mornings and we got to know them very well. The apartment is cozy and has everything you need. There are markets to buy fresh cheese, meat, and vegetables all within walking distance. Taking the bus into town was very easy. We sought out a place near the mountains so that my husband could mountain bike easily and this was perfect. We also wanted to feel like we were within the local community, not in a separate neighborhood where there are only other gringos. Gabriela and her husband were great hosts, answered all our questions. Great location to the Centro, however, her ad says main avenue but fails to say it is very noisy and we could not get any sleep with the mass of traffic on this road plus there are Roosters at the neighbors. We left earlier than our stay due to the noise. If you are great with a lot of noise then it is a great place due to the proximity of the Centro.

What a treat to stay at Karmen's! Great views, friendly neighbors, lots of amazing birds right outside your doorstep, in walking distance to the archeological site Monte Alban, small stores to get food, and the artist town of Arrazola where they make alebrijes. Also, the internet was reliable enough that I could work from home (using video calls)! The spot is about a half hour outside of the city by mototaxi, so the air is cleaner and it's more peaceful than you'll find elsewhere. Karmen has planted hundreds of native trees and plants on the land so there are lots of pollinators, gorgeous butterflies, flowers, and a couple of very sweet dogs. Karmen was a great host- proactive, responsive, and kind. She generously invited me to many incredible events locally and in the city. She is very well connected in the artist and healing communities. What a great deal! Hope to be back soon.
