Beach house vacation rentals in San Diego

This beach house was wonderful. It was very accessible to all areas- food, bars, entertainment. You can walk to Belmont in 7 min or go to the R in PB with a 6 minute Uber ride. The house has all great amenities. They had bikes and water equipment to use. There are 2 parking garages so it helps with big groups. Along with that, the beds are comfortable and clean! I would stay again in a heartbeat.

This place is amazing!! The best views, the best walking, and the spaces in the house are perfect for a group. We made dinner in and watched the sunset every night. We also brought our 6 month old son and it was a great location to be “nap trapped.”

Michael was a great host. I really appreciated the opportunity to check in early even though it didn’t work out. I also appreciated the fast and efficient communication. The house was perfect for our stay. Would definitely recommend. Thanks again for your hospitality!

Mike was awesome. My family and I are from near Pasadena CA. Mike was awesome in making us feel welcomed in lieu of the unfortunate fires in LA county. His house was beautiful. The view of the ocean was exactly what we wanted. As a plus, the spot was near a brewery (walking distance) where they had amazing coffee and food. We were also about 20 mins from downtown, and a short drive to nearby stores like Costco and Target. Thanks Mike for everything!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Beautiful and sparkling clean house, plenty of space and right across the street from Terramar Point, a great surf break. We could see dolphins and seabirds from the large windows of the house. One night we ordered delivery and ate watching the sunset from the rooftop! Anthony and Amanda were so kind and helpful. Lots of great restaurants in Carlsbad. We especially enjoyed dinner one night at Campfire. Incredible food and service. Highly recommend!!

We had an amazing stay at this ocean view home! The location is just steps from the shore with breathtaking ocean views from every angle. The house itself is incredibly spacious, offered plenty of room for everyone to relax comfortably and had good parking. Everything was clean upon arrival, and the host Sandra was responsive. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home and location with ocean views in La Jolla. Short uber ride to downtown and several great restaurants within walking distance and a fantastic beach! Would highly recommend!

My group and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nancy’s place in Imperial Beach! There was some construction going on at her complex and she communicated with me before our trip and accommodated us for any inconvenience. She was very quick with responding and super friendly. The place itself is super cute! With plenty of space for everyone in our party and the 3 full bathrooms was an extra plus. The location…. AMAZING! The balcony was literally facing the Imperial Beach Pier. My partner and I actually had planned a surprise wedding which we had right in front of Nancy’s place on the beach. There’s plenty of restaurants and breweries around, in walking distance.. which was another great plus. Our favorites were Mike Hess Brewery and we went to a cute little Thai spot a few blocks away. We enjoyed our weekend at Nancy’s place and would definitely stay there again, 100%!

Getting there we were starving and thankfully the place had a few snacks to start with. The condo is private, felt safe in the parking garage and up to the front door. Rooms were also spacious and luckily there were enough bathrooms for 5 people. The beach and multiple restaurants were in walkable distance. Thank you!

We loved Mimi’s house. Just gorgeous inside and out, beds were so comfy and Mimi had some blocks and puzzles for my kids that they enjoyed building. The town itself is gorgeous, weather is beautiful, and the house was steps away from the beach. And the front porch and deck were so amazing, I wish I could spend all day just sitting looking at the ocean! Overall it was such an amazing trip and we can’t wait to come back. This place was HEAVEN!! We fell in love with the place. The place was spotless and looked exactly like the photos. A 15 min walk to restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the view from the couch every morning and the view from the lifeguard chairs in the evening. The Airbnb hosts were helpful and responsive. This place felt like home and can not wait to book again! Thank you!

Great spot conveniently located near the freeway and downtown Encinitas! Courtney is a great host who communicated quickly and anticipated any needs we would have. The house was clean, cozy, and had ample blankets, towels, dishes, etc. Courtney went the extra mile and decorated for Christmas since we were there for the holidays. Highly recommend this spot!

Great spot. Super cool property within minutes from the heart of Carlsbad. The property was perfect for my two small pups; very secure. The accommodations met my needs perfectly. I look forward to reserving this location every time I visit the Carlsbad area. Jim was excellent host.

I stayed here for three weeks. It was wonderful. The place was neat and cozy. Walkable to restaurants, stores, museums, and, thrilling to this midwesterner, about a 90 second walk to the beach. Felt totally safe walking around at night. Communication with Rachel was great, and Pete who managed the property responded immediately and was full of helpful suggestions, from where to order pizza to where to get my car fixed. Really enjoyed my stay, and would love to return some day!

Lillian's place was excellent. It is just steps away from the beautiful oceanside beach and pier, and easily walkable to beach area restaurants and shops. The pictures don't do it justice, the home is much more spacious and simply "roomier" than what is shown. I would love to go back.

Our multigenerational family of six enjoyed our stay at Dan’s Oceanside home, and we will definitely stay here again. If you value privacy, safety, and comfort, you will love Dan’s place for you and your family. We are a no pet, no smoking, no alcohol drinking, no shoes indoors, environmentally conscious family and Dan’s clean, comfortable, safe, and relaxing home was the perfect find. If you enjoy cooking like we do, the kitchen is well equipped with excellent quality cookware and appliances. The house does not have central AC but there are ceiling fans, which we used, and portable fans (which we didn’t need to use) as the house gets a nice breeze throughout. If you are sensitive to sound, you can definitely hear some minimal noise from nearby highway and trains, but nothing we couldn’t tolerate. Hot tub operation is remotely controlled and requires contact with Dan to be heated. House manual with information/rules to make sure everyone has a pleasant stay, is respectful of property

Our second stay here and we will certainly be back. It’s a great place and we felt right at home! Location cannot be beat - near the beach and the village.

Our family of 5 have been going down to Solana Beach to vacation for 5+ years and we have stayed at Del Mar Beach Club several times. This was by far the best stay we have had. The unit was clean, organized, and fully stocked, which we appreciate. The views of the ocean from the backyard and guest rooms were beautiful and the unit is a short walk from the beach. Alyssa and Lars were extremely responsive but we really didn’t need to reach out much as the condo was turnkey. We had a great 6 days and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great experience from booking through to departure. The rental is as good as the pictures with great ocean views and stunning sunsets. The house was very clean and tidy, has all the amenities you need (including an entertainment system) whilst respecting the open plan, minimalistic feel. Drift Vacation Homes are very easy to work with. Communication was excellent, they offer clear instructions and are very responsive. We were afforded a late checkout ($50), this made our last day more enjoyable before heading to the airport. The overall price is in keeping with other rentals in this area, in my opinion you definitely get what you pay for. We would, without hesitation, book a rental through Drift Vacation Homes in the future.

We had such a great Spring Break stay at Tamarack Palms with our two young kids and our pup. The yard and heated pool were the stars—our kids were thrilled to have so much space to play, and even though the weather was cool, the heated pool made it easy to enjoy time outside every day. The location was ideal—peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood and just minutes from the beach, Carlsbad Village, and essentials like Von’s. It made daily outings and grocery runs super convenient. Inside, the home was clean, stylish, and well laid out. The three bedrooms and two bathrooms were perfect for our family, and having a washer and dryer made the whole trip easier. The main living space is cozy but functional, and we felt right at home. Our host was fantastic—responsive, friendly, and accommodating. It’s clear a lot of care goes into making guests feel welcome. No negatives at all—just a peaceful, well-located family stay. We’d absolutely stay again.

Great space indoor and outdoor for a wonderful Thanksgiving ! Very quiet and great location!

All I can say is that Cynthia is a great host, and a decent human being. It's a nice house it doesn't bother me that it's HOA but I got complaints from my partner about that. HOA doesn't bother me, it wasn't like we were going to have a wild party. Cynthia's house is everything that you could expect on a vacation, and the mattress in the master bedroom was like sleeping on air. You might have to travel a bit to eateries and fun but it's peaceful and homie when you return to Cynthia's home unfortunately it was cold so we did not go swimming but I have absolutely no complaints. I said she's a decent human being because I lost something and she was willing to ship it back to me. A blessing to have people like her in this world.
