Family-friendly vacation rentals in Saltburn-by-the-Sea

Firstly wow! The area in which this little cottage is set is beautiful, tranquil and private and has an enclosed garden for mine and my sister’s dogs. The welcome hamper was the best we’ve ever had with so many goodies in! Lots of local dog walks around the area and hotel grounds and we even found a waterfall after a heavy rainfall which was a lovely surprise. The cottage was clean and all beds made up, towels were provided too. Log fire and wood fired pizza oven and hot tub were so welcome on a foggy day when we were unable to travel. Wi-Fi was a bit hit and miss but not a real problem. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Only negative was only 2 windows open. We loved the fact we were surrounded by nature and birdsong and would have loved to have the windows open to make the most of this. Wouldn’t put us off going again as there are so many other areas we didn’t get to explore around there.

The photos don’t do this place justice. It really is beautiful. Quaint, spacious, clean and tidy. Plenty of facilities such as vac, mop, washing machine, dryer, cleaning products etc. Kitchen is a lovely space to all sit together. Bedrooms were very spacious and room for clothes etc. Lovely nights sleep in comfortable beds. Central heating worked a treat with log fire in the room (we didn’t need to use) including other heaters. It is lovely and warm and cosy. The views and surrounding areas are lovely. We used the hot tub which was a lovely addition and worked well been outside the conservatory part. We were a family group of mixed ages and we would absolutely stay here again. Host was great with contact prior to arrival with flexible check in/out. Overall a brilliant stay and we’ve also said we would return.

Would definitely book to come again! Celebrated our mam's 50th birthday and she had an amazing time! Great location, quick drive from Scarborough and Whitby. Very peaceful and relaxing! Hosts were very polite and helpful.

Loved Dawn’s cottage, ideal for walking the Cleveland Way and for visiting lovely places along the coast. The hot tub was great , it made the holiday.

Very comfortable w/e in an immaculate and well appointed property. So close to Staithes yet out of the hustle and bustle with views across open countryside. Would definitely rebook.

Loved our stay at the cottage its beautiful inside and tastefully done very clean and plenty of amenities its in a really good location close to everything but tucked away to be peaceful lovely views from the top floor and a nice big shower. Kate was very reponsive and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

A really lovely cottage in a beautiful fishing village. Close to the beach and easy to get to Whitby and the moors. Worked well as a winter treat but even better in warm weather, I’m sure

Had a wonderful stay with family in this fantastic house. It had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay at Whitby. We had a couple of queries and Richard was very helpful and responsive. Would definitely return.

First class . Superbly presented apartment, clean and tidy with stunning views overlooking the marina. Thanks for making our stay a special one , we couldn't fault it. Would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone, 100% . We will hopefully be returning soon .

Caroline was a great host. She greeted us when we arrived, asking how our long journey had been. Clear instructions were provided in advance and also house rules printed out. Caroline was really supportive of us arriving with 2 young children and offered a cot and high chair for our youngest which helped a lot! The kitchen met our basic needs and had everything we needed. Once we had read the instructions on the heating we were nice and toasty on a cold January stay. We would happily stay here again and appreciated the flexibility offered on check out x

Woodpeckers Cottage is ideally situated for the great outdoors, with panoramic views of lush landscapes. The fenced field for our Springer Spaniel is very safe and secure with seating to take in the spectacular views . Jacqui and David are the perfect hosts, they couldn't do enough for us, we were made to feel so welcome. The cottage is very well equipped, beautifully cleaned, very cosy and warm in the evening whilst watching Netflix. The lemon cake is a very nice touch and tastes delicious 😋. We loved our stay and would not hesitate in recommending this fabulous cottage.

What a great find away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, on a very wet and windy New Year’s Eve! Diana and Simon made us feel extremely welcome. Considering the studio was above a garage, it was extremely warm. We were able to help ourselves to more logs for the wood burning stove, which we were grateful for. We had everything we needed and found the studio big enough and equipped enough, to have stayed for a good few days. Thank you.

Great, quiet location within walking distance of local attractions. Great host - clear and straight forward check in details and quick, responsive and helpful throughout stay.

Felt really welcome at Carol's. The weather was really miserable so we stayed inside and just chilled in front of the fire. watched some movies and we were warm and cosy. Carol was very gracious to not rush us out at check in as she had no other guests checking in. we appreciated the friendliness. would really like to go back again.

Cowslip Retreat was an amazing place! We spent the weekend there whilst storm Darragh was blowing a gale, but stayed lovely and toasty inside with the fire. Cowslip Retreat has everything you need for a weekend getaway, whatever the weather! Loved it. Would definitely recommend staying here.

What can I say, another amazing stay in Staithes. Great location, great amenities and great communication. Stayed in several cottages in Staithes over the years and this is by far the best. Was very pleased when I managed to get it booked again for our yearly winter trip this year.

Great place with everything we needed , cracking location close to everything. Charlotte was very helpful with information on the cottage and things to do . Parking very easy, will definitely be back
