Cabin vacation rentals in Saint Osyth

Me and a group of friends stayed at Richard's place at the beginning of January and it was everything we could want and more. The lodge, the facilities, the surroundings, the hot tub and the friendly, helpful correspondence with our hosts was great. So much thought and detail had been put into the lodge and we had a great time as a result !

Great location for us, out of season so very quiet which was perfect for our weekend away. Short walk to get to the beach and can get up to Cudmore Grove in around 30mins. Site seems very well maintained and secure. Shower water was lovely and hot and the radiators too so we felt warm and cosy while the weather outside wasn’t amazing! We did have a slight issue with getting the hot tub to heat up so couldn’t use it on our first day and it was still a little chilly on the second day but host was very responsive to messages and did her best to help resolve. Overall, we got what was described and we had a great weekend. If I had to be really picky it would be handy if there were more mugs, glasses, plates and cutlery. This may not be an issue if you are eating out but we stayed in for all our meals so had to do a lot of washing up/dishwashing in between! We would recommend, thank you

Loved our stay here, private space over looks beautiful vineyard and fields. Host clearly thought of everything a guest could want. Hot tub was great and wood etc being included was a nice touch, not many do this. Thanks for having us.

Booked a long weekend away with my husband and two girls and had a wonderful time! I would 100% recommend Wakes Hall Lodges; the location is so peaceful (you wouldn’t even realise there are other lodges nearby!) lovely views as well. Check in was so easy and the lodge was spotless on arrival. The hot tub is a great feature and was so nice to relax in. Really spacious inside and comfy beds. I would recommend eating at the nearby Swan pub- food was great! Will definitely be looking to book again!

We absolutely loved our stay in the lodge! Both Diana and Richard were amazing. We were greeted by Richard on checkin and he gave us a tour of the lodge. The lodge was absolutely spotless! We have never stayed in an Airbnb this clean before so we were already pleased. Our favourite part was being in the hot tub under the stars! Absolutely worth it and can not wait to come back! Thank you again

We had such a great day at the beach hut. Everything was just as John had described and it was a wonderful space for our family to use. Would absolutely book again!

We had a lovely stay. The cargo pod was just big enough for us and the facilities were great. The patio furniture could do with an update, but overall we are really happy

The caravan was spotless, well decorated, very homely and included everything you could need. It's in a convenient location on site and very roomy inside. The host was really good with communication and made sure to send us everything we needed in advance and checked in with us during our stay. Will definitely be staying again!

A wonderful one night’s stay. It’s a very cosy beautiful place to stay and is equipped with everything you’d need. A gorgeous pub just down the lane where a delicious dinner was enjoyed. Highly recommended! You won’t be disappointed 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

We had an amazing get away from home to a cosy home right near the beach, views were beautiful 😍, home is right opposite the bar and restaurant and entertainment area and swimming pool for kids. Only thing was local shops and supermarkets were driving distance so if you don't have a car hard to get too but just be preferred with food storage if your not going during winter as entertainment area and bar restaurant is closed not in use, I should have booked it when everything opened which I didn't realise but going forwards I would like to visit again when everything is open as it was a lovely home and area to be around. Amazing place, really friendly and helpful host.

A beautiful out of the way location set in woodland and open space. A great location to base yourself near to pretty nearby villages and the recommended restaurants. Chris is a lovely host and very friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond to be helpful and even dried my dogs’ coat for us. I would thoroughly recommend staying here. We will be back!

Kim & John were excellent and very responsive hosts. Their farmhouse was very picturesque and clean. Wld love to stay again if we return to Essex.

A really lovely caravan and very clean with everything you could need. Although there is a pool and amenities on site, you have to pay to access these. We were only there for two nights and one full day, and swimming needs to be booked 24 hours in advance, so it wasn't worth the cost. We could access the arcade and bar during the day, but not after 6pm without paying for a pass. Would be worth the money for a longer stay.

Lovely peaceful place to stay! Great place to switch off and watch the sunset each evening.

Had a lovely time , wish we could have stayed longer very responsive host , very clean , not expensive and exactly as advertised. We were also running a bit late at check out time and the host graciously extended the time at no extra cost … also a cheeky bottle of Prosecco in the fridge which was a nice touch . We will be staying again

A beautifully presented property with extremely comfortable beds! The surroundings were lovely, set in Gussy's family small holding. The hosts were lovely and extremely helpful even taking us to the wedding we were attending free of charge! We would definitely stay again!! Many thanks for a great stay and for the rhubarb!

Scarlet’s caravan is pristine and comfortable plus the outside space is a real bonus. It’s a couple of minutes walk to the seashore which has great views over the estuary with lots of different birds at low tide including oystercatchers, curlews, turnstones and ringed plovers. You can catch the foot passenger ferry from the nearby country park to Brightlingsea which is a great day out. West Mersea is fantastic for seafood - try the Company Shed for sweet tasting oysters and fresh, fresh crab. Scarlet is an excellent host, she even replied to a text from me on her hen night. You can’t ask for more than that! A word of caution, we didn’t read through the full list of amenities so missed that towels are not provided! No criticism of Scarlet, and a lesson to me. All in all a great experience and we would definitely return
