Monthly Rentals in Saint Helen Auckland

We stayed here on the first night of our North-East castle roadtrip. Very comfortable and clean home, easy to find, and location wise close to Auckland Palace, Raby Castle, and the Barnard Castle ruins. The host had left loads of leaflets and info on local attractions, made us wish we were staying longer!

This accommodation is exactly as the photos and the host left milk, eggs, bread, butter, coffee pods and a cereal variety pack which is very generous, especially as we were only there for one night. We walked the short walk to the Cross Keys pub (we have been there a few times on our visit to Hamsterley Forest), but it was nice to be able to have a bottle of wine this and walk back to the accommodation. Really clear instructions and spotless. Due to bad weather we didn't get to sit on the veranda but it looked inviting. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend. Great value for money. Lovely cottage built in to the castle walls . Pretty garden which was private and enclosed for the dog . Had a nice stay

Visited Bishop Auckland for the weekend to see some old friends and stayed at Gary’s Apartment. The flat was lovely and felt very homely. Close to the main street where the majority of the pubs and restaurants are so everything was in perfect walking distance. I would definitely stay again. Gary’s hosting skills were brilliant and he was very helpful to any questions i had. 10/10!
