CarolRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
If cozy, clean and comfortable is what you desire in East Nashville, look no further than Hillary’s place. It is the perfect space for two people in the historic Lockeland district. This location is convenient to the Robert’s Western World, the Grand Ole Opry, the Parthenon, and so many great eateries in East Nashville. Check Hillary’s host book for recommendations. Also, very easy check-in and check-out instructions! Highly recommend this Airbnb.

Explore the Heart of Nashville from a Stylish Suite

MarlahRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I really thought the space was nice. You can smell how clean it was which was great. My husband and I enjoyed the location as it was 10-15 minutes to get to wherever we needed. We walked the area a few times and it's so nice and quiet. The biggest thing was that I booked wrong. Thank God Justin had the next night free for us to be able to stay. He was super understanding about it and I was able to pay for the extra night seamlessly. I would say, we wish there was maybe a slightly bigger fridge and trashcan but we made it work. Justin is VERY responsive - response time in <10 minutes any time we communicated. Would love to be back next year for sure!

Waterfront NEW Lake Apartment near Nashville

JustinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our stay was amazing! We went out to compete in a volleyball tournament, and have a nice place to stay once we were finished and on days off. Couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful location, and the indoor space was even better than expected! Paula even invited us to come out and have s’mores on Memorial Day Saturday, and her husband was always very kind if we ever crossed paths out and about. Best Air B&B stay we’ve had!

We loved everything about our stay! The cabin was beautiful, clean and comfy. Lisa and Mack were very accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay the best experience we've had with airBnB. Our pups especially loved the cabin, the land, the creek and the horses. They were so responsive to any questions and provided great recommendations that were spot on. We have definitely found our favorite place to stay when visiting anywhere near Nashville, we will be back!

The Corner Cottage in Green Hills

BonnieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
It is hard to describe the feeling of peace and welcome that you feel when you come into the cottage. And cottage is the perfect word for it. It just feels like the coziest little home you ever were in. My husband and I absolutely loved it and enjoyed our time curled up with books on the couch or having our morning coffee in the screened porch. Stephen keeps this place perfectly. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone that we know that would be going to Nashville and needing a place to stay. I’m not sure I would have very little kids there (under 6 maybe) , but for a couple or an adult it is the perfect spot. We really enjoyed Stephen and invited him in to sit and talk with us and tell us about some of the incredible things in the cottage. He is very friendly and willing to chat if you want to but not intrusive in any fashion. It is very near to the Greenhills shopping area, but extremely quiet and peaceful. We will definitely choose to stay at the cottage in the future!

Hip East Nashville Retreat | Close to Everything

MichaelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a cute place and very close to Broadway where all the bands play. I took a Lyft and it only cost around $8.50 each way; parking near Broadway costs much more than that. Plus, if you're going to drink, then Lyft is definitely the best idea. The hosts were outstanding, and they always got back to me if I questions. They also a few drinks in the refrigerator (water, and non-alcoholic), and snacks waiting. The place was very clean, and the bed comfortable. I definitely recommend it.

Cash Presley & Beatles Loved It -Pool 4/1 &Parking

MichelleRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was the 3rd time we stayed here at Kayla’s and continues to be outstanding! The condo is beautifully decorated, has everything you could possibly need or want, down to the most minute detail. It’s walkable to many places, about a mile and a half from Broadway (downhill—you may want to uber on the way back). There are bars, restaurants, and music 10-15 minutes away, also. I’ve it here and can’t wait to come back!

Your guide to Nashville

Introduction

There's no place in the world quite like Nashville. Tennessee’s Music City — home to the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry — has always had an ear for what travelers want, whether it’s late-night bluegrass jams or buttered biscuits and hot chicken. Honky Tonk Row is chockablock with live music venues, leading all the way to the river. But don’t mistake Nashville for being a one-trick pony. Outdoor activities abound at the Cumberland River, which cuts through town, as well as Percy Priest Lake. Neighborhood pride is strong here, and you’ll find plenty of boutiques, bakeries, and vintage shops. The city is also dubbed the Athens of the South, for its notable Greek Revival mansions that are immortalized at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage and the Parthenon. And the food here — fried, yes, but also barbecued — is world-class.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Nashville

Nashville receives a healthy dose of warm weather. From April to October there’s ample sunshine and warm air, though midsummer is hot and humid, with an average high of 90 degrees Fahrenheit. April and October tend to linger in the low 70s, making it nicer for outdoor activities. Spring brings floral blooms and ideal T-shirt weather. You’ll need a light jacket in late fall, though cowboy boots are in season year-round. The tornado watchers are on high alert from February and April, so be sure to check local forecasts before traveling in those months. Winter is low season in Nashville, and a less popular time for booking vacation rentals — although the city does boast some great holiday decorations.

Top things to do in Nashville

Country Music Hall of Fame

Music lovers won’t want to miss the Country Music Hall of Fame, one of the largest music museums in the world. It boasts the world’s largest collection of country music artifacts, including guitars, sheet music for legendary songs, films, sound recordings, and stage costumes. Carve out at least two hours to explore the 350,000-square-foot space, as its galleries are crammed with items that will stop you in your tracks.

Centennial Park

Located on Vanderbilt University’s campus, this sprawling urban park offers a breath of fresh air and a dash of history. Originally cultivated as farmland by some of Nashville’s founding families, it was turned into a 132-acre public park after the Civil War. Today you’ll find a pond, art museum, historical monuments, and free live events.

Cumberland River

The 688-mile-long Cumberland River is one of the South’s major waterways, stretching from Kentucky to Tennessee and cutting through central Nashville. You can’t swim in it, but there are other ways to take in its beauty, from crossing it via the Cumberland River Pedestrian Bridge to renting a kayak or pontoon.
