House vacation rentals in Rutland

We had a great stay - the house is peaceful, quiet, clean, and especially cosy with the woodburner on! Richard and Jo were excellent hosts, very friendly and accommodating, and offered great advice on places to visit nearby with our two small children. We all slept amazingly well (very unusual with a 1 and 3 year old); the beds were comfy and it was so quiet. The house is well set up for visiting with toddlers - there are toys, books, stair gates etc. and the large garden is great to let them run around in. We would absolutely return, especially in the summer to really make use of the beautiful garden.

I came here for my 23rd birthday with my friends as we wanted a chill Christmas atmosphere and we got exactly that! The owners were very kind a friendly and went over and above for us! The only negative is that there is nothing around and if you want to walk to a pub, restaurants or shops it’s either a 1hour+ or a deep dive walk in a forest or field… this was difficult as we had 6 people and one car. But I everything was amazing we will be coming back again!

Emma and Duncan's place was absolutely stunning, what an amazing house is a truly outstanding location right on the river. Everything you would need in the kitchen, plenty of space and even floatables provided to use in the river. My only recommendation for visitors with young children is to pack a gate to put at the top of the stairs. You can close the balcony doors but not block off the stairs from the main living room. A really really minor recommendation for what was one of my favourite places booked on Airbnb.

A very well located cottage within a short and easy walk of Stamford centre. We enjoyed shopping and walking to the bars and restaurants. There's a large Waitrose opposite and great facilities in the cottage for cooking a meal. The duvets and bed linen were fantastic, very cosy. We also enjoyed the shower and cosy snug downstairs. The lane is incredibly narrow and I wouldn't expect to park outside as we had hoped; you would need a very small car such as a Fiat500. We parked on a street nearby which was very easy. We had a great stay and would certainly recommend the cottage, Myrto's communication was friendly and responsive. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay at Nick's family home in Stamford. It was just what we needed and in a great location. Nick and his family were super accommodating and helpful before and after our arrival (even offering to post some clothing we left back to us) Thanks again we definitely recommend!

We spent nearly two weeks as we were visiting family. Oakham is a lovely village and very central for exploring the Midlands. Jenni’s place was perfect for our stay as we had a car. Given it wasn’t in the centre of Oakham, it was more affordable and in a lovely neighbourhood. The house itself was decorated with character and had everything we needed for my three teenagers and they were particularly excited by the PlayStation. The enclosed verandah/conservatory was a lovely place to sit and looks into the lovely garden. We cooked many meals in and the kitchen has everything you need to enjoy cooking and a lovely big dining table in the conservatory. Jenni and her manager Olly were very responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

My family and I stayed at Sarah’s beautiful cottage for the Easter weekend. What a gorgeous spot! Super clean, super tidy and everything you could possibly need for a break away in the countryside. There are really lovely walks directly from the cottage and we were blessed with gorgeous sunshine. ☀️ Don’t forget to say hi to the sheep in the field and if you’re lucky you’ll be able to see a Camel from one of their neighbours property. My little boy loved that! Would highly recommend - will definitely be back. Thank you so much again

Lovely house in great walking distance to town centre. Nice and clean with all the things you would need for a stay (towels, kitchen equipment etc).

Kitty's Airbnb is extremely cosy with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend and would stay again.

We were delighted with our stay at Emily’s place. The house was perfect with a lovely garden that was enjoyed by our dog as well as us! Perfect to have a a friendly pub next door and easy to walk through the pretty town of Uppingham. It was also easy to get to various starting points for walks around Rutland Water. We highly recommend this cottage.

Lovely little gem just outside the heart of Stamford. As a family of four and our dog we really enjoyed staying at the house and felt really comfortable as all of the amenities that we needed were there. Brilliant check in and check out arrangement.

We picked Simon's house as were wanting to host a family new year with one set of grandchildren staying and another coming each day as they don't live too far away. It proved to be a good house for this...spacious, warm, enough rooms to separate out if necessary and not too far from Rutland Water for a walk or a wander around Uppingham. All good.

This house is beautiful and perfect for our uni reunion. The kitchen is well stocked which we really appreciate and the garden is secure if you are bringing dogs. Love the “adult” living room - beautiful taste

The home had us feeling right at home! It was beautiful and peaceful as well as exactly what we were looking for. The location was close enough to walk all around town including the town center. We look forward to staying here again in the future!
