Monthly Rentals in Ropehaugh

Me, my partner Jack and our German shepherd Bonnie travelled to this lovely cottage to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. The home was very pristine and everything was well thought out. I loved the cooky decorations I found the more we stayed, and Bonnie thoroughly loved sitting in the windowsill while I had a hot brew and biscuits. The cottage was very homey, and the hosts were very responsive. The scenery is gorgeous, and as we did arrive in winter, the cottage was a bit cold understandably so we had to buy some logs for the log fire, which kept us toasty a couple hours at a time, as climbing a chair to turn up the central heating was a bit too inaccessible for me due to an injury I have. The house was well thought out and lovely though, I loved the decking and the private garden, Bonnie certainly did too.

So warm and comfortable after a 10 hour drive in high winds and low temperatures. We let ourselves in and felt immediately at home - we loved the rural theme throughout the house. The house stayed warm all night, and the beds were so comfortable- the 2 washrooms both with shower cubicles were excellent. Sarah goes a long way to provide a really excellent rental, and at such a reasonable price. We loved it!

The cottage is just beautiful, everything had been well thought through with style and good taste. The kitchen was excellent with everything we could possibly need, the house was warm and cosy and the bed super comfy. Overall the location was an absolute dream - would recommend the Allenheads Inn if you’re walking that way. Normally we use airbnbs as a base to be out every day but with this cottage, we ended up wanting to spend time in, just enjoying the cottage. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed for 1 night only but the place has everything for longer periods. It's very cosy and the kitchen is well supplied with amenities, there was even milk, juice and fruits left though we were there for a short stay. The place is very easy to find, great location and Alison is quick with the response.
