We absolutely loved our stay! The location is fantastic and Dave’s recommendation of the little pub The Dog House was a great one. A short 1minute walk and you’re there in a great atmosphere with great food. The barn is filled with every necessity you could need. It’s warm and cosy. The Christmas tree was a great touch and made us feel at home. The hot tub was fab. We would definitely come back again, next time in the summer so we can use the pool.

My partner and I really enjoyed this place with beautiful surroundings. Wendy was really nice to say hello to us. We loved the log burner and the hot tub was a big plus. We definitely recommend staying here if you want to just have a nice relaxing weekend away and hear the birds singing every morning :)

Tollgate Farm is a wonderful house in a beautiful location. It was perfect for our weekend celebrating a family birthday. House was clean and very well equipped, with a lovely log burner for colder evenings and a great hot tub. The children loved the space outdoors and the trampoline and swing kept them occupied. Tim was a great host, very quick to respond to anything I asked.

We had such a fantastic stay here, the hot tub was a particular highlight! Lots of space and feels really secluded, but also really easy to get around and enjoy the local area. Charmian was a great host, really quick to respond and answer any questions but totally left us to it during the weekend. Would definitely recommend and would love to return!

Absolutely loved our stay at Cecilia’s place - the property and surrounding gardens are exquisite! Particularly enjoyed the walk that Cecilia recommended at the back of the visitor book, a real adventure - we’ll be back!

The hut was so cozy and had a beautiful view of a pond. There was plenty of cooking equipment and a fridge provided to keep our food fresh. Grant provided towels and the bed was comfortable with fresh linen. Grant gave amazing recommendations for places to walk my pup and there were some lovely pubs for lunch just a short drive away. The only thing I’d recommend is a little scrub of the bathroom area of the shower as it’s very close to the outdoors, there was a congregation of spiders and webs all around the corner of the showers and soap residue on the shower door and shower pipes.

Lovely stay in a beautifully situated cottage. Pub opposite is friendly, cosy and does fantastic food. Book in advance they are popular. Estella and her family are great hosts.

Comfortable homely space, perfect for our two days retreating. Delightful personal touches with original art, option to purchase some of the homemade jam and honey (delicious) and some lovely art pieces. Lovely warm welcome, privacy but the option to knock and request anything. Loved having the option of the log burner I would say it's well worth the extra few funds. Delightful couple of days, being warm comfortable and welcomed. Watching the birds on the feeders outside the window was a plus. I would highly recommend Pandana...

Well, where can I start….What a beautiful place this is!I stayed at the stables couple months ago. I had ongoing work in Southend for 3 week.I stayed here again.when I stay here I never want to leave,They have everything you need in that house sky Netflix Disney all the channels for your watching needs..It has everything you need in the area etc shops restaurants.The beach is literally 1 minute away from the house and Southend high street is about 5 min walk.The house is so homely and done to a high standard!The garden is done to a high stand as well the dogs loved it there!lauren and Greg where very responsive and very helpful with any questions i had.when I arrived there was a welcoming note,making me feel right at home.There was soft drinks and beers in the fridge and they even left out snacks on the side for me and dogs treats too.Highly recommended this place.will definitely coming back here can’t get enough of his special place!!Thank you lauren and Greg 👍🏻

The apartment is in a great location with plenty of transport links close by and has a homely and quiet feel despite the close proximity to the city. It is a cosy and tranquil space inside that is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The hosts were extremely hospitable and helpful with the check in process and had no issue when our train arrived later as expected. Meeting us from the tube station was a nice touch as finding the apartment may have been a little difficult at first, but all doubts were erased with this small, but hugely appreciated detail. Our stay had no faults and I would be delighted to stay again when we next make a visit to London! Thank you very much!!

Absolutely fabulous!! What a perfect place! The location is superb, just enough out of the way to be quiet and see all the stars, yet close enough to the cities and transportation to get anywhere you need without a fuss. Plus the pool and the gardens!! What a fantastic treat! Alex was so wonderfully accommodating and helpful! She had all the little niceties, especially for a family, that made our stay just a little bit easier. Super clean and comfortable. We could not have asked for a better host or accommodations!

What a luxurious, secluded and cosy cottage. Tim & Maite are wonderful and generous hosts. Lots of thoughtful touches – a welcome hamper, sweets left on our pillows. The cottage has been furnished to an outstanding standard – everything we needed and more! We especially loved swimming in the outdoor pool and then warming up by the wood burner! Amazing hosts! More of a family welcome you couldn’t imagine - kids played together all week and they even offered to dog sit to make day trips easier and nip to the shops to save a separate visit. The upper floor of the barn is stunning and we agree the photos don’t do it justice. Although the kitchen and bathroom are well equipped they were due to be upgraded shortly - which we look forward to seeing when the refurb is finished. The pool is heated and salt water. They have plenty sports equipment for you to use on site and the gardens are amazing and also great for the dogs. Two or three good pubs close by with one just at the end of the road. The location is perfectly situated for connections and local trips; and the train into London is less than 30 mins. This felt much more than a family holiday, thank you!

15 of us stayed for 2 nights for a hen weekend. We loved the amenities, the private location and the well equipped house and cottages.

We stayed here as an extended family of 12 over Christmas. It was perfect. Large kitchen, fire on the sitting room, large garden, beautifully decorated and comfortable beds. Shona was always available to answer questions and be friendly and helpful. The fridges and freezer were empty for our stuff and there was ample space in cupboards and drawers which was such a bonus. The cats popped in at mealtimes only so didn’t disturb us and they were friendly with our two toddlers. Shona gave us lots of tips for walking and eating locally and we had a really relaxed time in their family home. It’s a winner for a real country experience.
