House vacation rentals in Roanoke Island

We had a great weekend here. Place was very clean & cozy! We enjoyed the hot tub and how roomy the home was considering we had a big group with us. Location was great, as many restaurants & activities were in close proximity. Nancy was very responsive with any questions/concerns and even recommendations for the area. We would stay in a heart beat whenever we travel to OBX again!

Spacious home with high end furniture, window treatments and other amenities. Incredibly outfitted kitchen with multiple small appliances and cookware. Bedrooms were huge and beautifully decorated. Four full bathrooms and one half bath made it convenient for all of us. Pool was a huge hit with our family. Convenient mini kitchen on ground floor was a great addition! Neighborhood was so beautiful, private, and nice to walk.

We absolutely adored this home! It was very peaceful and relaxing. The sound views was the cherry on top, especially the gorgeous sunset every evening. The condo itself was super clean and exceeded our expectations of cleanliness. We appreciated all the little extras the host made available and the bed was comfortable and restful. We cannot wait to come back and make a "Sound Decision" because it was a truly amazing stay! Thanks for hosting us!

I would book this place again!! Was very clean and put together and looked just like the pictures. Neighborhood was private and walkable. Beach is less than a 5 minute walk! Highly recommend!!

We had such a wonderful few days at the Mermaid Lagoon. The house was absolutely beautiful and very clean. We felt right at home. We will definitely come back.

Shawn was a good host and answered all my questions very fast and gave us accommodations. The place was very clean, perfect for our family and our dog! We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Great place. For its size and value, it literally has a ton of great features . The theatre room is amazing, especially with having kids. Has a beach volleyball court! The arcade has thousands of games and brought me back 25 years (Pac-Man, Mario, Galaga, Street Fighter, and 1,000’s more). We went when it typically would not be considered swimming weather, however, we had the option to have the pool heated at least a day or so before arriving and it made a huge difference and allowed for my girls and I to swim in early April (and I did jump in the ocean to compare and it was a 25-30 degree difference! Lol). The owner is very quick to respond, has the instructions available prior to arrival, recommendations for food, churches, , and activities. If you don’t mind a 3-5 minute stroll to the beach, it is honestly not that far away. Walmart, Target, Grocery stores, putt putt, dunes, Wings, fishing pier, are very close by. The aquarium was a 20 min drive but was worth it. Fun experience.

Lisa’s place was the perfect beach getaway for our family. We loved being able to walk to the beach easily, sit out on the patio, eat meals in. She had everything we needed to make our trip seamless.

Great dog friendly rental in OBX! Having grass and a small fenced yard for late/early potty breaks was so convenient. Our dog relaxed right away on arrival, immediately getting a drink and dog biscuit from the provided bowls. What a rare treat to find a place so special for our four-legged family members. :-D Everything was very clean and comfortable and cozy. Loved reading in the sunroom. The house was stocked with more than we could possibly imagine needing in terms of food and supplies (so it's a bit cluttered and not a lot of space for your own items, but nothing you cannot work around). As others have said, definitely felt more like HOME than a rental and we truly appreciated that! Thanks for sharing your home and for a lovely getaway!

Loved our recent stay at this beach house! The location is great, very close to the beach but felt private and secluded (on a quiet street). We drove to the beach with all our stuff, but could have also walked. No issues with finding parking at the beach, although we were here off-season in September. The house is very comfortable and had everything we needed to relax after a day at the beach (both inside and on the large deck). We grilled, had pizza delivered and drove a short distance to Duck for dinner a few nights. Had one rainy day where we enjoyed sitting in the screened in porch listening to music and playing games. Would recommend Laurie's place to anyone who enjoys charming beach houses (no bland, new build here): full of fun decorations, a spiral staircase and lots of charming personality!

Amber was a very responsive host who went above and beyond! The private pool, hot tub, and short walk to the ocean were so fun with kids. We also enjoyed the memory foam king-sized bed! So thankful for the private backyard - we even had deer come right in.

Destination OBX was a great house for our crew of 13! We swam in the pool and the ocean almost daily. October really is a wonderful time to visit OBX. The house was spacious and clean. Having the kitchen and dining on the top floor was ideal for entertaining then heading down stairs for games. Fishheads Grill is an easy 1 mile walk on the beach from Barbara’s rental and even closer, the beach access from the house is a stones throw. We loved having bikes for the older kids to bike to the pier and boogie boards for fun in the ocean. Finally, there are great sunrise and sunset views. Would definitely love to come back!

Location was great! Duck is super cute. Stayed with my kids, my brother and kids kids and my sister. It was plenty of space for all of us and we loved the outer banks!

My family loved our spring break trip to the Beach Barn. The house is in an amazing location just a short walk to the beach and lots of shops and restaurants. The central location in Nags Head is the perfect jumping off point for exploring all parts of the Outer Banks. Alison provided excellent instructions and flexibility with check-in, and was very responsive when we had a minor issue with the washing machine during our stay. The house itself has everything you would need for a beach vacation, especially with kids. There were toys, books, games, and beach supplies available. Amy kids particularly loved the Super Mario Brothers monopoly and bunk beds. Would definitely recommend!

A lovely first experience staying in OBX. Karen’s place was just as described and a perfect fit for our family of four! The location to the beach, games, and books kept us well entertained. Highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitant to stay at Karen’s again.

Great place! The outdoor amenities and beach chairs were super nice. The house is very updated and clean and kitchen was well supplied. Only thing to note is the couches downstairs are not very comfortable to sleep on so the house only fits more like 6

It’s was the perfect house to stay at for a vacation. Had so many things to entertain ourselves in the home and out on the sound which is out the back door. Great location and close to everything you can think of.

forbes fever was absolutely what they described it was!! the house was one of the cleanest houses we have stayed at. was the perfect size for our family of 9 that stayed and very dog friendly! the pool was beautiful and the short distance to the beach could not have been more perfect!! the host was fabulous they were so attentive and responded very quickly when I had a question!! the staff was so quite and respectful we never even knew they came and was getting supplies we could not have had a better trip!!!

We loved our week at Monika's place. We visted Cape Hatteras (the lighthouse is undergoing repairs), the Wright Brothers National Memorial, Jockey's Ridge State Park (beautiful sunset) and we did daily hikes around Nags Head Wood Preserve, which is a very short walk from the house. We also had some great food and enjoyed the available bicycles.

Tammy’s Place is absolutely adorable!! It’s private and quiet. The home is immaculate. Lots of good old fashioned Knick knacks. The location is perfect!! The host was quick and very responsive. Will definitely come back to this charming home!!!

Amazing stay, first time in obx and definitely will not be the last

The Relax Shack was perfect for our mini vacation with our dog! She especially loved the fully fenced yard to run in! The place was perfectly clean, and that couch was SO comfy! The house was stocked with anything we needed, and the listing was accurately advertised. The proximity to the beach, restaurants, and other things to do was perfect. The host was amazingly friendly and responsive as well. I would love to stay again!!

The house was great and in a great location! I highly recommend. My family is looking forward to returning to Margarita Villa!
