Cosy rustic rural house near coast

EleanorRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Sally's house was a perfect place to stay for a new years Eve getaway with friends. Plenty of space, beautiful area and super helpful instructions. The house felt so homely and the log fire and cosy duvets were lovely for this time of year. Hope we can visit again!

Beautiful Barn with wood burner near Snape

ElizabethRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had a very peaceful couple of nights here, surrounded by wildlife and green space. It's a perfect base for exploring Suffolk, and we got to visit several beaches from here. The bed is sooo comfy, the barn has loads of natural light, and the log burner was a great touch for a cosy winter night in. Helen was very kind and helpful, met us to check-in, and then gave us full privacy. Our dog loved mooching the garden, and looking for moles! Would recommend for a cosy, Suffolk stay.

4 star rural self-catering cottage. IP21 4BD

SimonRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We really loved our stay in Lake View. The photos really don't do it justice. It's surprisingly big and private, both within and outside the house. Once you're inside it's very snug and cosy. We were wonderfully insulated against the snow that was falling when we arrived (and which added to the charm!). The house is equipped for everything and is very comfortable. We were obviously there in the winter and so our enjoyment of the outside space was tempered by the cold but the view from inside looking out is wonderful. It is so peaceful. We were even visited by a little deer one morning. I can imagine it is even more beautiful in the warmth and sunshine of spring and summer. Thank you to Jean who not only braved the snow to greet us but had also left some home made bread and eggs and juice which were delicious. Given the opportunity we would definitely love to stay again.

Rustic charm in The Dairy

ShelbyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
If I could give 6 stars I would! Me, my husband, 3 year old daughter and dog absolutely loved staying in this quirky little cottage, it was exactly what we wanted and everything we hoped for. It had everything we needed and was absolutely spotless! My daughter loved playing in the tepee that was in one of the rooms, lovely touch! Kate is a 5 star host, very kind and very easy to communicate with. The cottage is in a great location and has easy access to fields for dog walks. We visited Southwold pier which was lovely and despite the very cold weather, we still enjoyed watching the waves eating our fish and chips. If you’re staying at the cottage in the winter months, take slippers! The unique brick floor is very cold although mostly covered by rugs. Considering how cold it was we were very warm and snug in the cottage and enjoyed the log burner. We would definitely book to stay here again! Very happy trip and some wonderful memories made! Thank you Kate!!!

Luxury Home for Family Get-Togethers

SusieRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Beautiful home in a very peaceful setting, with plenty of space both inside and in the expansive gardens. Justine was there to greet us and responded to any subsequent queries promptly. It was so great to be able to pick the produce from the kitchen garden and to collect the freshly laid eggs, whilst the farm shop (for other supplies) is about 20 mins walk into the village itself. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend celebrating a very special birthday! Highly recommended!

We had an amazing relaxing time staying in the shepherd's hut. The surroundings were so beautiful and the horses were very friendly neighbours to have :) The hot tub was so relaxing. Anna is so welcoming and friendly, easy to communicate with and very accommodating. We were made to feel very welcome, and it made us want to return in the future. Great value for money and just in general and lovely place to stay for a short getaway :) Thank you so much for having us and we will return at some point :)

Dynes Cottage at Finchingfield Holiday Cottages

CallumRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Dynes Cottage is absolutely gorgeous - the photos do not do justice how spacious and homely the property is. The booking and check-in process were seamless, and we arrived to some very welcome treats on arrival. Catherine was a fantastic host, proactive in providing all necessary amenities and more. The table football was a brilliant touch. The cottage was spacious enough for a group of eleven to feel like we had plenty of room. The location is great for walks in the local area, and there are top-quality farm shops a few minutes drive away. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dynes Cottage and it was a perfect getaway for our group of friends.

I would highly recommend Drovers cottage. The cottage is beautiful, it is very cosy and comfortable, with a choice of bathrooms and a very well equipped kitchen. A real home from home feel. The fully enclosed garden was perfect with our dog. Plus having a lovely walk directly behind the cottage was fabulous. Perfect location to explore Suffolk/Norfolk. One of the best AirB&B’s we have stayed in..⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tranquil relaxing rural 2 bedroom farm location

JesenRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Comfortable, cozy stay in a rural farm stay. We used public transport to get there. Buses are ~2.5 hours apart. There is a village shop 15 min walk away which has small selection of frozen food/sandwiches/milk/bread/egg and other groceries. Own vehicle is preferred to explore the area properly. Kids were happy to see the animals and feed them. Wendy rightly informed us that swimming pool was not operational at that moment before accepting our request.

Rural cartlodge on a family run arable farm

KarenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My 9 yr old and I had a fabulous time on a weekend break from the city. My daughter loved all the animals and birds and we had a really lovely day walking to the village through the paths to have lunch at the pub. It was exactly what we were looking for and there was absolutely nothing I could fault. A few bits of advice for any future visitors… in winter, definitely bring wellies for outdoors plus slippers/thick socks to wear indoors. Maybe a torch too - especially if, like us, you arrive after dark. There was a really helpful map with all the footpaths in the area which was super helpful and worth exploring. The village is really charming and worth a look around. The castle was closed when we went but the village is still lovely. Thanks for a lovely weekend!

Unique getaway in stunning riverside setting

JoannaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights at The Stables! It’s in such a quiet and beautiful part of the countryside, with plenty of walks you can do from the doorstep. We had a fun walk around the Deben marshes, seeing boats on the river. The barn itself was cosy and super clean, with all the amenities we needed. It was a particularly cold few days so we did need to wack the heating on a little more, but the log burner was very efficient at heating up the barn in the evenings! It was wonderful to meet Amanda & Simon too, who are so friendly and hospitable. We had some lovely chats and they made us feel so welcome. I really recommend a visit to Woodbridge - we loved pootling around the various shops & cafes, and seeing the Deben again. Had an excellent meal at The Burnt Fig (previously called the Galley). Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer! Thank you Amanda for such a lovely stay, we hope to be back again in the future.

Idyllic house and gardens on estuary

JaneRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The house is beautiful and even better than the photos. We were a party of 10 and we found we had everything we could possibly need and enough room to live comfortably. We stayed mainly around the house, cooking meals and playing games by the open fire but ventured out for country walks and to visit the alpacas, which were a highlight. Overall a fantastic weekend, we can't wait to come back.

Had a lovely stay at the weekend. was very clean and beautiful grounds. although in photos the sauna looks like its attached to the house, it isn't so that was a little disappointing, also the listing stated it was isolated, but you have a few neighbours next door and around. But we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a nice break. the playground was a good touch too, my daughter played on it constantly. host was lovely and helpful too.

The only downside was that the hot tub and sauna had to be switched off by 10pm, but otherwise, our stay was fantastic.
