Cosy rustic rural house near coast

EleanorRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Sally's house was a perfect place to stay for a new years Eve getaway with friends. Plenty of space, beautiful area and super helpful instructions. The house felt so homely and the log fire and cosy duvets were lovely for this time of year. Hope we can visit again!

Vicarage Farm House - a rural retreat

EmmaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had an absolutely wonderful family weekend in Victoria’s beautiful farmhouse. There was everything we needed and the kitchen was very well equipped. All the bedrooms were great and the garden is beautiful - the children loved the trampoline! We also loved having the cats around - very friendly! Thank you so much. We had a great time!

4 star rural self-catering cottage. IP21 4BD

SimonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We really loved our stay in Lake View. The photos really don't do it justice. It's surprisingly big and private, both within and outside the house. Once you're inside it's very snug and cosy. We were wonderfully insulated against the snow that was falling when we arrived (and which added to the charm!). The house is equipped for everything and is very comfortable. We were obviously there in the winter and so our enjoyment of the outside space was tempered by the cold but the view from inside looking out is wonderful. It is so peaceful. We were even visited by a little deer one morning. I can imagine it is even more beautiful in the warmth and sunshine of spring and summer. Thank you to Jean who not only braved the snow to greet us but had also left some home made bread and eggs and juice which were delicious. Given the opportunity we would definitely love to stay again.

Rustic charm in The Dairy in rural Suffolk

AmyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This was booked as a gift for our family visiting from Scotland. Our family absolutely loved Kate’s place. It was a stunning place to stay. It was everything and more. The place was cosy and rustic, had everything they needed. Our family slept wonderfully and can’t wait to come back. Kate communicated throughout the stay and was able to assist with logs for the burner. Kate even sorted an earlier check in in case they arrived early. Highly recommended

Luxury Home for Family Get-Togethers

SusieRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Beautiful home in a very peaceful setting, with plenty of space both inside and in the expansive gardens. Justine was there to greet us and responded to any subsequent queries promptly. It was so great to be able to pick the produce from the kitchen garden and to collect the freshly laid eggs, whilst the farm shop (for other supplies) is about 20 mins walk into the village itself. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend celebrating a very special birthday! Highly recommended!

Suffolk country barn, perfect for a quiet escape.

TomRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We loved our stay at the Cowshed - the place was perfectly set up for a comfortable stay, including a secure garden which our dog LOVED and a fully fitted out kitchen with everything we could need, but the best thing about it was the beautiful countryside surroundings which we really enjoyed exploring. Nicola was a great host, really helpful and communicative and she helped us settle in when we arrived. We’re looking forward to coming back!

Stour Valley self-contained annexe set in 9 acres

HilaryRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had a lovely short break right where we enjoy walking in South Suffolk. The accommodation was very comfortable, more spacious than it appeared in the photographs, and although open plan, the bedroom area was cleverly sectioned off. The surroundings are lovely, although near the road between Bures and Sudbury, we heard very little traffic noise, and lots of beautiful birds instead.

Dynes Cottage at Finchingfield Holiday Cottages

This was our second year at Dynes cottage and we enjoyed it just as much as the first. Such a beautiful house and space to relax in with so much room. Catherine is a great host, very responsive to any questions but unobtrusive. Finding local cakes left for us on arrival was of course very gratefully received ! Highly recommended this beautiful farmhouse for a group of friends or families, you won’t be disappointed 🥰

The cottage was so peaceful and comfortable, with three great bathrooms and a small but perfectly formed kitchen. The surroundings are beautiful with ducks, nature walks and lakes on your doorstep. We would definitely return to this cosy, lovely cottage.

Tranquil relaxing rural 2 bedroom farm location

Jennifer HintonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We are slowly walking the English Coastal path. Wendy's place was superbly situated for the stretch from Maylandsea to halfway down towards Burnham-on-Crouch. We were lucky with continuous dry (though windy!) weather, and did exactly what we had planned to do, and the mobile home was a nice place to return to in the evenings. So we are very satisfied customers of AirbandB.

Luxury, cosy studio in village with pubs & walks

MariaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The surrounding area is populated with buildings that are centuries old. Staying at the Old Forge involved us closely with the charm and history of this area of Suffolk. The local shop the Boxford Stores is the oldest recorded shop in Britain. The beams in the bedroom are beautiful, my husband even noticed the traditional plasterwork had horsehair within it. It's certainly the most historically interesting individual home we've stayed in , fascinating. The bed was so comfortable, we loved the quality of the bedding.

Unique getaway in stunning riverside setting

AlexaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovely stay at Amanda’s place which is in a gorgeous location in the countryside with lovely views and walks on your doorstep. The place was even more grand than the photos and was lovely and cosy and the bedroom and bathroom upstairs especially was relaxing and nice comfy bed. She even provided a homemade cake which was delicious! The only thing to note is the wifi/signal for area isn’t great so something to just note if you did need to use laptop/work we found it a bit hard.

The Cartlodge ( a converted Suffolk Cartlodge)

emmaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Myself and my two children had a three night stay at The Cartlodge and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Alyson is a great host, attentive, friendly and welcoming. The property itself was as described in the listing and very comfortable and homely, in beautiful tranquil surroundings. The donkeys Rosie and Molly are very cute and we enjoyed petting them. The Cartlodge is in an excellent location for getting around. We had a few trips to the coast and to Sutton Hoo. Overall I would definitely recommend a stay here, you won't be disappointed!

Idyllic house and gardens on estuary

LisaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We stayed at Jo’s house to celebrate our daughter Emma’s 30th birthday. The 9 of us enjoyed a perfect family get together in a part of the country non of us were very familiar with but now love! I wanted beautiful surroundings and this house massively deliverers, we were all on a high for the whole weekend! The house, painted a beautiful Suffolk red, has the most lovely atmosphere. It is furnished extremely nicely with pictures, paintings and plenty of interesting books. The gardens, with beautiful box and topiary yew are superb and larger than I had imagined. As with inside the house there are different, almost secret areas, to enjoy on your own or with others. Our son and his American girlfriend played badminton. The huge swathers of daffodils were at their absolute peak and we loved the views of the estuary and enjoyed fantastic walks from the house in gloriously sunny weather. If you like birds in this peaceful area, there were many varieties including a tawny owl at night!

AimieRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Had a lovely stay at the weekend. was very clean and beautiful grounds. although in photos the sauna looks like its attached to the house, it isn't so that was a little disappointing, also the listing stated it was isolated, but you have a few neighbours next door and around. But we had a lovely time and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a nice break. the playground was a good touch too, my daughter played on it constantly. host was lovely and helpful too.
