We had a lovely stay at Crabtree Barn: it’s in a picturesque setting, has everything you need and is very spacious as well as being very cosy. Wayne was super helpful and friendly.

We had a lovely weekend at the cottage, booked as we had plans in the local area. It is a lovely quiet location seemingly in the middle of nowhere. What comes with this is a drive down down a long track which was intersting in the pitch black as we arrived late! The converted barn looks out into a small courtyard, on which the horses are stabled in the adjacent side. The size was perfect for our family of 4, with the 2 kids in a twin on one side of the lounge/kitchen and us in a double on the other side. Phillipa sent excellent instructions on how to get there which were helpful when arriving in the dark, even though we had it on GoogleMaps. We would definitely come back.

We had a great time at Canny Brow Barn. Everything you could possible think of or need for your stay, Ian and Anne-Marie had thought about, from a cocktail shaker to cleaning products to games. Would highly recommend!

We spent three wonderful days at Ann’s place while visiting family in the area and found the accommodation wanting for nothing. We found ourselves very relaxed in the conservatory watching the world go by outside. Parking is easy and generous with a pub/restaurant within walking distance. Can’t recommend Ann’s place highly enough!

We had a lovely stay at Pear Tree Barn. The barn is really warm and cosy. Everything was really nice and clean and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen had absolutely everything you could need and we felt very at home here. Cath was very friendly and helpful and was very kind in allowing us to stay a few extra hours as it snowed heavily on our last day. We definitely would recommend staying here and would love to come back here on our next visit…

We had a brilliant stay, Steve showed us round which was great. Lovely and warm kept out of the storm outside. Well furnished and the pub in the village is well worth a visit

Lovely place, easy access, beautiful views. Alll amenities as mentioned and a wonderful selection of breakfast bits along with some milk for the morning. Only minor gripe was with the TV playing up, which we deducted needed a new remote, but we had games with us so it was no drama. Oh, there were games in the cupboard also.

Back from a lovely stay at Richard’s beautiful property. The photos don’t do it justice. Great open space for living, dinning and kitchen. Great size bedrooms and bathrooms! Also has a pretty courtyard garden. Central location close to restaurants and pubs. Will definitely return!

The reviews did not lie! Pat and Neil were extremely welcoming and helpful when it came down to suggesting local walks, places to eat etc. We would really recommend the Aira force/Ullswater walk! They also introduced their dog Bob to our nervous dog which ensured our girl had a much more relaxing and enjoyable time. The barn was very spacious with a gorgeous fire which made for a very cosy feel. The bed was exactly what everyone had described it as, extremely comfy! The garden was lovely and big which extended the enjoyment of our dog. The whole barn was spotless and we couldn’t fault a thing inside. We would really recommend this stay and hope to return again in the not so distant future. Thanks once again Pat and Neil :)

I had a fantastic stay at The Piggery! It was incredibly comfortable, private, and set in beautiful surroundings—a true home away from home. Everything was spotlessly clean, and Barry, the host, was very welcoming. He provided clear instructions for arriving, which made finding the place easy. He also recommended a lovely circular walk, which I really enjoyed. My dog absolutely loved it here too! It’s a great spot for a relaxing getaway, and I’d definitely stay again. Highly recommended!

This was my second stay at The Shed, booked with a view to visiting Castle Howard. It is in a good location, just off a busy road, but with off road parking and a very secure garden. The cottage is small but extremely comfortable with every you could possibly need available. The bed is very comfortable and the cottage was spotlessly clean & welcoming on arrival.

Beautiful Lake District cottage/barn. Close to Windermere and easy access to everything you need but far enough out to feel in the country side and enjoy the peace and quiet. It was lovely and clean, has a lovely log burner, firewood and sweet treats provided and it made for a cosy lovely weekend!

Had an amazing time just after Xmas a group of friends decided to take a trip to the lakes our favourite beauty spot We really enjoyed Valerie accommodation stunning views and the place had everything you needed. Valerie was brilliant and nothing too much trouble! Thank you x

The Cow Shed is a great place to stay to discover North Yorkshire. Although attached to the owners house it’s extremely private with its own entrance. The views are spectacular and when we were there in late August lavender bushes were flowering all around the property. Lucy was a kind, communicative and attentive host and the information provided in the house about local walks, pubs, restaurants etc was extremely useful. We particularly enjoyed The Square and Compass pub nearby. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. We loved the four poster bed with views across the countryside and the pool table provided hours of entertainment!

We had a lovely few days away here, we especially enjoyed the large open plan kitchen/diner/lounge space. We relaxed in the evenings and made the most of the lovely accomodation and spent our days exploring places we had not been to before. We did Holy Island and other stops along the coastal road and had a day in Newcastle. We drove to the metro centre and got the train in which was very easy to do. Helpful and friendly host, thank you for the treats and eggs on arrival. We would recommend a stay here to anyone interested 😊

Amazing cottage in a beautiful location! Felt right at home for a quiet and peaceful break. Definitely recommend and would love to stay again.

Harriet is so welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in her stunning barns. Everything is finished to a very high spec and the spacious bedrooms and en-suites are wonderful. The farm and countryside setting is beautiful. We were sorry to leave!

Corey’s place was absolutely fantastic. We visited as a mini break to celebrate the end of my chemotherapy treatment. It was exactly what we needed. A nice private secluded spot. It had everything we needed, a massive tv with an Xbox and netflix etc, a fully fitted kitchen and utility room, a downstairs toilet, comfy sofas, a crazy comfy super king sized bed, a massage chair, a lovely bathroom with walk in shower, a pinball machine (free to play) and a hot tub in an outbuilding with speakers and lights to play your own music. The whole experience was dreamy and exactly what we needed, and quite frankly a bargain for what you get. Corey couldn’t have been more helpful, but was so respectful of our privacy. He had excellent knowledge of the area and good dog friendly pub recommendations. He was very pleasant and welcoming. We would very happily return to the barn!

We would highly recommend Sutcliffe Barn. It is cosy, characterful, spotlessly clean and well laid out. Great walks from the door in a very picturesque location. The sauna is fabulous, great to relax in and with beautiful views. Thank you Carolyn and Brian for being such wonderful hosts.

We had the best stay here. Cannot rate it enough. Highlights - gorgeous wood fire - “best pies ever eaten” at lovely pub a stones throw away - lots of sheep! Pictures don’t do it justice. Will hopefully book again!!!

Amazing property. Lovely building, very clean, and some great facilities. Location was easy to find and Lucy was really helpful with any questions we had. Definitely recommend.
