Fantastic Villa! Absolutely amazing view, perfect for watching sun set. Great amount of space. You would need a car to get around as it's a bit far from things and hard to walk up the hill. Well stocked kitchen but frying pans are very scratched, I hope they replace them soon. Great communication from the host. We wished we could stay longer!

Jose and Sofia are excellent communicators, extremely charming and helpful. The Villa is a great size, well equipped and very comfortable and although anyone staying would need a car, that is explained up front and therefore is not an issue. The view from inside and outside is spectacular. Funchal is only 45 minutes away so easily reachable and there are multiple Levadas in easy reach for walkers. Sofia gave us great tips on good walks and restaurants etc (The Fish Factory in Paul do Mar, 10 mins away is fantastic) and messaged us to warn us of impending bad weather and days when the Levadas were closed to walkers. Although it is unlikely that we would visit again as it is small island and we were there for 12 days in mixed weather so saw everything possible, including Opera and a Classical concert in Funchal, we have no hesitation in recommending this as a perfect getaway in a quiet location. A beautiful house with stunning views, well equipped with plenty of space for everyone. Clive always responded quickly to any requests. The property is within 30mins of Funchal and perfect position to go and explore the coastline and mountains of Madeira Would thoroughly reccomend !

Villa Valhalla was very good and a great stay for us (6 adults and one teenage child). The stay was clean, well-equipped, and everything worked great. The pool was very good, suitably deep and clean. In particular, many outdoor seating groups, on different balconies work really well. Communicating with the host was great, and we got a wonderful vacation in Madeira. It was especially nice to have a bakery/cafe a short walk away, where you could pick up breakfast buns.

We rented Jan's villa for a week and got to know Jan as an accommodating and great landlord. The house fully met our wishes and ideas and was as described in the listing. We didn't miss anything - except a coffee maker with capsule system. But that is now available ;-) The villa was very clean including all rooms and bathrooms were very clean. We really appreciated it, everyone had their own bathroom and two of the three bedrooms even had pool and sea views. The kitchen is huge and gave us so much pleasure that we never went out to eat the whole week. Another highlight is of course the pool and the lounge with sea views as well as the grill (BBQ). For us as very active athletes, the washing machine was awesome; so we could wash every evening after our sporting activities and didn't have to take so much clothing from home. Our stay at Camacha exceeded our expectations. Martine and Richard were exceptional hosts who made us feel completely at home. They were incredibly responsive and always happy to assist, whether we needed recommendations for restaurants, hikes, or activities. The house itself was wonderfully cozy and nestled in a breathtaking flowering garden—even in January! Thank you again for welcoming us into your warm and beautiful home and for being such kind and gracious hosts. We hope to cross paths again, and we will certainly be recommending this place to our friends and family.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Kents apartment with a group of friends. Apartment was spacious with great views over Funchal. The apartment is around 10 minutes taxi drive or bus journey (takes a little longer) from the centre of Funchal or up to the tropical gardens at Monte. There is a little shop for essentials around 10 minutes walk away, just a step hill walk back up. Kent was an excellent communicator from first booking. Would definitely recommend.

What an amazing 5* villa! We absolutely loved staying here. Everything about it was just wonderful - architect designed house, incredible view, super comfortable beds and great kitchen facilities. Plus easy parking in the garage underneath. Also Rita who met us there was so friendly and helpful. We would definitely like to return one day!

Karine’s place is a lovely modern house with a beautiful ocean view. It is located right on the cliff with a banana field below (a few minutes’ drive from the Encumeada Tunnel - perfect for visiting the island). The view from the swimming pool at sunest was spectacular. The place was immaculate and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Karine was a very attentive and responsive host. We would definitely stay here again.

The property easily lives up to the description and the pictures. The houses are fully equipped, very nicely decorated and comfortable. The swimming pools offer stunning unobstructed views of the ocean during the day and of the sky at night. There are no road noises, the place is truly calm. Grocery stores are a few minutes away by car, as are restaurants. Numerous hikes can be found in the region. The host is very reactive and will provide many recommandations related to restaurants and activities. Renting both houses to two families is a great way to spend time together while also having some privacy. I would go back there without any hesitation.

We had a great stay with teenage kids, with amazing sea views, pool, sauna, private sea acess. Would happily come back.

We spent 5 woderful days at the Rock Villas. The place is even more amazing than in the pictures. Fabrice was very nice and helpful in everything we needed. The pool was a great way to end the day. The place is also very well located with many things to do at a short ride away. We highly recommend it!

There is no place in Madeira that isn't beautiful, but Liliana's house was a wonderful place to watch the ocean, see the sunsets and bathe in the sunshine. The kitchen is amazing. Because the house had the basic kitchen supplies, we did not have to, for example, buy a container of salt in for the sake of just a teaspoon. Liliana was extremely helpful and responsive when our flights changed at the last minute. A great host by any measure.

Margarida is a fab villa, with lots of space and stunning view across the valley and ocean (especially seen from the pool). There were wild fires while we were there which created a layer of ash during a number of mornings on the ground and in the pool, the villa owner went out of his way to clean the pool in order that we could continue to us it. They are incredible kind, thoughtful, helpful and responded very quickly to all enquiries. The villa has all the usual facilities including a dish washer, hair dryers, coffee machine and ample size fridge and freezer. The outdoor eating area is spacious where we enjoyed many BBQs.

The house was super - very spacious and clean, beautiful views, and a well stocked kitchen. It is in a private and quiet area. The house keeper was very helpful in setting us up and responding to any questions we had. Highly recommended overall.
