Monthly Rentals in Rajanganaya

We visited Anuradhapura on a Buddhist Pilgrimage and needed a quiet , safe home to stay for our 2 nights. We opted for the room with 2 beds and it was very cozy - we slept really well and the AC worked great too. Shehan , his wife (Shree), and their very intelligent and lovable son were such a nice family to stay with. Even after a tiresome, long day of working a normal job… Shehan happily spent time chatting with us and answering questions about the city. They were very kind and even came outside to bid us farewell. Honestly, they felt like family members (the good kind). *Highly recommend asking Shehan to set you up with “Anura Nishantha” …he was our Tuk Tuk driver and He really was so helpful and awesome !! We got to see and learn so much becaue of him. P.S. It’s Sri Lanka so there are A lot of mosquitos anywhere you go. Bring plenty of Mosquito repellent room spray and body spray/cream. This homestay does give Mosquito nets over the beds but you still need protection

Gunarathna and his family are a very special people, providing beautiful experience, the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. We could feel like we are at home, full of care, joy and honesty. Gunarathna share with us his life experience, told about living in Sri Lanka, gave us a guided tour around Sacred City Anuradhapura. Also he offered us an amazing opportunity to be part of his English classes for children from the area. Really wonderful thing. And he gave us a ride on his motorcycle, while being a great and safe driver. Not forget to mention Gunarathna’s wife, who is always smiling and the best chef in Sri Lanka! She prepared us very tasty, fresh meals and showed us how they are prepared. We also had so much fun playing and talking with their children. Boys gave us an amazing bicycle tour around Talawa on bicycles. It was awesome, thank you all so much! We highly recommend this place and people :)

Thank you for the great stay. We had a wonderful time at Chathurika. The accommodation has a fantastic location by the lake. We were able to observe a lot of birds and animals. The room was super clean & beautifully decorated. We felt very comfortable throughout the house and were able to relax very well. There are many attractions to explore nearby. The food was delicious & we had the best tuna on our trip. Big recommendation. The entire team was super friendly & helpful. We would love to come back again :-)

Gorgeous villa among walkable rice pads. Super nice hosts which arrange tour of local historic sites for you for a good price. Good breakfast, spacious room, pool with fantastic view, large common space.
